    Sounds like the hotel director has watched your videos and is suitably impressed. From an exposure standpoint = could I say good publicity or advertising standpoint, I bet this was the best upgrade the hotel director did for this trip, and perhaps even for this year.

    FYI -- we always stay in an aft suite and specialty dining is complimentary on embarkation night. Not being in the suite at the start of your cruise you missed out on that. We've sailed on multiple Princess Grand Class and Royal Class ships in Penthouse Suites and other than thr embarkation comp specialty dining which you missed out on you hit every other nail on the head in your video -- great job!

    1. I've been in a suite on several Royal class ships. The first night included specialty dining in their choice of venues.
    2. I'd say that you're paying for the extra space AND Club Class Dining. We always really enjoyed that part of the package.

    What a beautiful suite. I like that the bedroom area can be closed off, especially if you get company. Thank you for showing your suite experience and mentioning what you felt was perhaps negative without being mean about it. Your shows are always a pleasure to watch.

    Thanks for your video. We have a suite on the Coral Princess booked for a 35 night cruise through the South Pacific in March/April 2024. We were also lucky to recently be upgraded to a full suite onboard the Royal Princess for 13 nights over Christmas. This has definitely whet our appetite for our next full suite cruise. The Coral Princess looks quaint but still lovely. We can't wait.

    I never thought about where the deck names originated from. I know they’ve maintained them since the early ‘70s, keeping with tradition, you could say.
    Didn’t realize what was included in a Suite Class. On the Discovery Princess back in April 2023, I think because Mom booked through AAA, we did receive a free night at Sabatini’s. But I think that was because it was a group booking though a specially travel agent, with…nothing to do with Suite Class. Man. The nuance of receiving different perks.
    Those strawberries did look pretty sweet, though. But that’s coming from someone not on a ship while watching this, where you’re not saturated with food is everywhere, all-the-where.

    How lucky were you👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. My partner and I are going to be on the Coral Princess 110 nights world cruise Sydney to Sydney 2024. We are in a premium balcony (which we stayed in last year to make sure we liked it). It was great but I hope we get an upgrade to the suite in this video 😂. Pretty sure that won’t happen 😢. We love your videos and hope to meet you some day 😊

      Sounds like a fantastic cruise! Suddenly I have a bunch of (probably inconsequential) logistics questions. How often will they take on fuel and food. How much of the original crew will be there at the end? I guess maybe this would not be different for them than doing 16 seven day cruises except with a lot fewer passenger changes.

    • @Studio33ArtByKay
      @Studio33ArtByKay Год назад +1

      @@brucegordon4992 the Coral is currently on a 107 day Sydney to Sydney. I believe they take on fresh food at most ports and would refuel as often as necessary. There is a couple of five or six (or even 7) days at sea so I’ve been on cruises where they’ve refuelled without even being at a port (from a tanker along side).

    • @Studio33ArtByKay
      @Studio33ArtByKay Год назад +1

      And most crew would be on for the whole trip as they have six to nine month contracts usually. But I’m sure there would be a few leave and fresh come on along the way as well. Sounds like you need to do one and come to the Captain’s Q & A 😀

    The speed of the laundry can depend on how many elite members are on board, we've just come off the grand Princess from New Zealand to San Francisco the laundry was taking three days but still worth it. My wife loves going home with the suitcase full of clean laundry.

    This is a bit weird as I tried posting this twice yesterday however it did not show up. I hope Princess recognizes the great publicity they got by upgrading you. For folks paying attention information from people with extensive experience on multiple cruise lines is probably even better than a recommendation by Captain Merrill Stubing. And this suite looks wonderful.

    Oh, this really is how the other half live - a far cry away from my Coral Princess experience in my Outside cabin down on the lower decks, ha! Did you feel you used the cabin much more as a result of having SUCH a premium one, or were you still 'out and about' as much?

    • @visitwithus

      😂😂😂 we started out in an ocean view Fraser. But yes you’re right we spent much more of our day in the suite when we were in this one as opposed to going out more when we had an ocean view room. But why wouldn’t you when it’s such a relaxing area 😁
