I’ll admit, the show started slow at first, but when I saw the scene of Nami stabbing her arm and screaming, I was instantly hooked. The walk to Arlong Park & the following fight was dope as hell and cemented me in continuing the show no matter how daunting the episode count was. Some episodes & arcs were better than others, but they all showed me incredible characters, exciting action, and God-tier storytelling. One Piece is legendary and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the show/manga will play out.
You know, for such a sad and emotional show, this theme song is just bursting with star-eyed, romantic optimism. It's one of the few things that made we fall in love with the show at the start. No matter how serious the show becomes, it was never about that. The conflict and drama was almost treated with a shrug, something you could get past, and something that would be worth persevering through in order to enjoy your own path through life. Luffy's love of the pirate dream, even though he doesn't even know what being a pirate means, is so infectious that it empowers everyone around him to become dreamers as well in their own way. I'm not up to date with One Piece anymore. I dropped off around Dressrosa for lack of time, but this song is so nostalgic for me. It made a dreamer of me too
Same here, I stoped watching for lack of time but it still accompanies me. From time to time I like to listen to the openings and endings to remember those emotions I felt the first time I heard them. One of the few series I enjoyed every single minute of every single episode.
Can I ask some advice? It seemed like a real fun show, but when I tried to watch it (probably going on 5 years ago now), I made it a couple arcs in and lost interest. It's just too much. Is there a good filler-free watchlist, or a quality "dbz: kai" (but for one piece) type of playlist anywhere?

I've been in a pretty bad place the past couple of days, and when I saw this I didn't think much of it, especially since I've lost interest in One Piece as a series. But after listening to it... i like Naruto slightly more than OP, but damn has it became a close second for me, if not a tie. the world building is insane, the stories are good at evoking emotion and the characters are all so varied. i'm right now in Season 7 on episode 430-something, and i intend to keep on going until i'm caught up with everyone else. if i had anything bad to say i'd say the filler sucks more than average, but the majority of the anime either makes me laugh or it makes me cry... never knew an anime could make me blubber over a ship.

I'll be honest, I've mostly stopped listening to Jonathan. He didn't seem like he was enjoying making things, his content seemed monotone and dull. I'm SO happy this auto-played. They're talented, and I enjoy their music in small doses, but their songs all have the exact same "same-ness" that made me lose interest in Jonathan Young. It's artists in a rut, or artists that have grown complacent, and it just disappoints me hearing talent and skill, and sometimes *really* good lyrics, poured into a boring song.

This is easily the best version of "we are", the personal adaption of lyrics makes the cover feel truly unique and the instrumentation are simply sublime backed by two amazing vocalists.

Aghh... I'll say it. The lyrics of this version sucks compared to the og and the dubbed versions. He did well with the sounds instrumentally and second guy nailed the vocals but can't Jam to a song when all the words have changed

@@vickymar3836 maybe that's part of it. Sabaton is kinda eh in my eyes. They're talented, and I enjoy their music in small doses, but their songs all have the exact same "same-ness" that made me lose interest in Jonathan Young. It's artists in a rut, or artists that have grown complacent, and it just disappoints me hearing talent and skill, and sometimes *really* good lyrics, poured into a boring song.
Listen to my original music. The covers were always just a tool to build a career and survive in the internet world

This is easily the best version of "we are", the personal adaption of lyrics makes the cover feel truly unique and the instrumentation are simply sublime backed by two amazing vocalists.
