yup. I would always go to Starbucks for matcha lattes. $7 every time. I went to Costco and bought the $20 matcha powder almost 3 months ago, I still have it, and I have been using it, and I make my matcha lattes at home now.

Starbucks has definitely gotten complacent. I used to be a frequent customer (because I lived in a suburban hell where small business was a myth) but lately everything just tastes so mid. The staff aren’t very nice and they frequently mess up my orders, the recent remodels make the place feel like a hospital emergency room, and I’ve been to a few blasting their millenial ass Disney playlist while I’m trying to get my work done. For my coffee now I’d just rather drive 20 minutes out to a local shop since it’s worth it on every level.
I'm so glad a brief stint of heart murmurs scared me out of drinking caffeine. When I worked my factory job, I was buying Rockstars in bulk because they were $1. Obviously the reason.
Celsius is a Swedish energy drink. Sweden is part of the EU. Celsius is not "banned in Europe". Where did you get that idea? The only org that seems to have banned Celsius is the NCAA lol.
Maybe he’s referring to a different energy drink then. It’s most likely PRIME that he was talking about since it was made in the US and it has tons of caffeine that would have it banned from the European Union
This is what gets me, half of their meals, if you actually want to not be hungry by the end of it, probably cost more than restaurant food in my country
You should see Japan where there’s plenty of good-quality food that’s far more cheaper than McDonalds. Hell, even the microwaved food are decent quality
I don't understand why people love coke and coffee because whenever i try drinking either coke or coffee i immediatly puke. Its as if my body can't even let those things enter my body, so i was only limited to either milk or water.
Same here, the taste of coffee is just so horrible in my opinion. I once bought this vanilla coffee from Starbucks and my god, I did not want to finish that thing at all. Thankfully this works as a way to prevent myself from getting addicted to caffeine
@@MrStark-up6fi Starbucks makes bad coffee on purpose. They overroast the beans so that you can taste "coffee" through all the sugar and other synthetic chemical crap. Try a good light roast from a good brewer sometime. It's a whole different experience.
I used to work at McDonald's & there was a guy who would travel from 30 minutes away just to drink our coffee. I'm not a coffee hound(prefer soda) but I drank coffee everytime I worked the dawn shift.
Maybe the people that want to have the Starbucks cup in their hand simply to show that they can afford Starbucks will keep stores afloat. Never underestimate the human need to show off.
I think the pandemic killed Starbucks bc people had to stay home and began brewing their own coffee when they realized that is was a lot cheaper and tasted better they never went back
I went to Starbucks this morning ordered a grande peppermint mocha and it was $7.52 I was shocked bc not only did it taste terrible but it was so expensive smh this is why I stick to dunkin and McDonald
You seem to have forgotten what Starbucks was originally meant to be. It aimed to bring the Italian-style café experience to the US. In Europe, the norm was to leisurely sit in a cozy place and enjoy coffee. When you visit Starbucks, you’re not just paying for the coffee itself; you’re also paying for a space to unwind and relax. While I can’t speak for all Starbucks locations in America, I’ve personally seen some lovely Starbucks cafés in California that intentionally create atmospheres conducive to relaxation. However, if you opt for a drive-through Starbucks, you might feel like you’re getting a raw deal. As for CosMc, it remains to be seen whether their prices will align with McDonald’s. One thing is certain: coffee at CosMc isn’t cheap anymore. It appears to fall within the same price range as Starbucks for regular black coffee. Their other coffee drinks might be slightly more affordable, though.
Man its almost like they have stopped telling me when you drop new videos , oh wait they have , guess they under estimate people just pulling your channel up , i know it hurts your channel them not pushing your content , but its really another reason why we love it ..
CosMs’s also has no restaurant area, so if you go there and really need to piss/shit then you’re out of luck and likely to soil your car due to how long it takes to get your order
Starbucks won't die due to McDonalds lol. I live in a city of 1.5M that had a few Starbucks for a few years, then they disappeared, and the reason is because the local chains and the independents produce far superior coffee at a lower price. McDonald's here has a cafe arm (McCafe), yet you almost never see people walking around with McCafe take away coffee.
Starbucks doesn't stand a chance in Canada, Tim Hortons is everywhere and their coffee is not only better tasting, more affordable, but ethically sourced, unlike S.B. We have a Timms a MacDonalds and a Starbucks here, all at one intersection of town and I can see daily what type of ppl go to each one. Starbucks; Snobs, GenX students and classless Asians with European cars, McDonald; Elderly ppl and families with smaller kids. Tim Hortons; Regulars, Working class, blue collared ppl, & elderly. Their drive thru is always busy. When Starbucks came out with their so called "Whitewater phenomenon, I looked it up and I asked my grandma what is that. She said, that's the leftover dairy liquid we used to feed the livestock with, back in the day. SO basically you pay for water and coffee beans imported from countries like Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and other places with civil unrest and plenty of child labor. I'd be surprised if actual coffee was even 50% in their mix.
The worse it's gotten the more I've learned. I went from doing nothing to gardening, brewing, baking and breeding my own crickets, as well as developing crafting skills to make items I can sell. It's funny. They're doing all this to make us helpless and a lot of us are just angrily learning how to do it ourselves as we recognize NO ONE ELSE WILL DO ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE and still somehow expect you to pay your first born and all your limbs for a less than half assed product. Sigh. There's always an inevitable collapse in a society. We all know it. I just know a lot of is didn't expect to live in it and for it to come on so fast.
I’m now boycotting Starbucks since their food and drinks are so freaking expensive and they don’t pat their employees well. Starbucks definitely need to go out of business!

I totally agree about the targeting of younger customers, my son is 13 and when we saw another video (I think a Food Theory) about Cosmc’s and we talked about its appeal etc together he was all about it. Even as I was watching your video and saw the expansion into Texas I immediately thought about how he’s going to be excited to hear it. I think it’s def tapped into something in the Gen A psyche somehow. It’s crazy.
this was the first add I saw where I believed the narrator :D
I could see you starting your day with a glas, then working, drinking, getting faster & faster.
really love your combination of rapid thoughts but chilled mood.
You are one to recommend, I often think "I could never have put that better"
That CosMc's branding looks so old. Like the old Mc Donald's but more ugly.
Starbucks does have a mascot. It’s a mermaid, hoisting up her legs to show off her minnow pillow. 😂
I think Carl Jung's thoughts on UFOs would make for an interesting video.
Coffee gives me anxiety. I’ll settle for my morning bong rip and breakfast lol
Useless life
I do bong hoots and coffee. Seattle speed ball it's called
@@lincolnmarklt I own a business and my house is paid off. A useless life is someone who sits on the internet feeling brave from the safety of his phone. You’re the epitome of an incel 🤡
@@aaronyonny2139 I used to drink espressos all the time when I was the chef of a restaurant: apparently my doctor said my body OD’D on caffeine and since then I can’t touch the stuff.
Doesn't matter what you purchase and consume as a stimulant: you should always know what's inside and where it came from. Even with coffee and coco.
People go to starbucks because they want to feel special: "Oh they called my name in front of everyone!! I'm SPECIAL!!!"
A drink name celcius being banned in Europe is crazy
This is just a paid advertisement for mcd
Starbucks has definitely gotten complacent. I used to be a frequent customer (because I lived in a suburban hell where small business was a myth) but lately everything just tastes so mid. The staff aren’t very nice and they frequently mess up my orders, the recent remodels make the place feel like a hospital emergency room, and I’ve been to a few blasting their millenial ass Disney playlist while I’m trying to get my work done. For my coffee now I’d just rather drive 20 minutes out to a local shop since it’s worth it on every level.
Prefer Home Coffe 😢
Prefer chewing the beans :)
Home coffee is indeed better but coffee served in small businesses are equally good
I'm so glad a brief stint of heart murmurs scared me out of drinking caffeine.
Caffeine gets me dizzy and tired. It has never picked me up or wake me up lol 😅
Dont understand how people can eat that Mac Donald poison, which is as expensive as high quality food
This is what gets me, half of their meals, if you actually want to not be hungry by the end of it, probably cost more than restaurant food in my country
You should see Japan where there’s plenty of good-quality food that’s far more cheaper than McDonalds. Hell, even the microwaved food are decent quality
I think it is because kids grow up with Happy Meals then they transition to the adult menu.
A coffee fight between a real estate company and the bank. 😂
Im betting 100 bucks that this would not happen
Maybe the people that want to have the Starbucks cup in their hand simply to show that they can afford Starbucks will keep stores afloat. Never underestimate the human need to show off.
You guys can keep your coffee. I like tea.
Same here dude
Starbucks failed in Australia with only a few stores left open in highly populated areas that tourists would visit.
I think the pandemic killed Starbucks bc people had to stay home and began brewing their own coffee when they realized that is was a lot cheaper and tasted better they never went back
It’s surprising how McDonald’s as a corporation keeps on going despite the rough patches in marketing. It’s only a matter of time though.

Na
great video!
Man its almost like they have stopped telling me when you drop new videos , oh wait they have , guess they under estimate people just pulling your channel up , i know it hurts your channel them not pushing your content , but its really another reason why we love it ..
hi
hello
Hello there
CosMs’s also has no restaurant area, so if you go there and really need to piss/shit then you’re out of luck and likely to soil your car due to how long it takes to get your order
we are boycotting it anyway
Starbucks won't die due to McDonalds lol.
I live in a city of 1.5M that had a few Starbucks for a few years, then they disappeared, and the reason is because the local chains and the independents produce far superior coffee at a lower price. McDonald's here has a cafe arm (McCafe), yet you almost never see people walking around with McCafe take away coffee.
Where I live, Dutchbros is outcompeting Starbucks.
There is only 1 Starbucks in my town but 5 Dutchbros
I just can't get over the fact that people pay $7 or more for a coffee. It's way beyond insane imho. Even half of that is too expensive.
Starbucks will pivot into massages with happy endings. This message was brought to you by Carl's Jr.
McDonald’s at this point is thanos collecting all the different food markets
I can't believe I sat through a worse version of a food theory episode 🥴
I won’t go out to eat ANYWHERE because of how bad service is EVERYWHERE you go.
I’m now boycotting Starbucks since their food and drinks are so freaking expensive and they don’t pat their employees well. Starbucks definitely need to go out of business!
I only ever went to starbucks once at the age of 14
Saw the prices and never went back there again my entire life
Wrong. Starbucks will still be around because people don’t buy the coffee they buy the brand.
Consider the following:
Thing = bad
New thing = good and less expensive
Why buy bad thing for more if new thing good and less? If thing bad, why not buy good? Isn't good better than bad? Isn't that an illogical decision?
@@AttitudeIndicator
Consider the following:
Bad thing is worth 100billion dollars as a whole!! 100Billy mean super huge business wow!! Consumer base of massive franchise is super duper loyal woahhh!!! ⭐️💵’$ raises spendy points until purchases slow down. Then they lower them back a little bit CRAZYYY!! Bad thing now drinkable at new higher prices which their customers are still paying NO WAYY! It almost seems like bad thing didn’t get so huge being ran by idiots and they know exactly what they’re doing which is why I disagree with the idiotic clickbait statement made in the title 🤩 !!
Skip 2:11 to 3:48
Believe me, after 5 or even 10 years this company will remain. Sadly, the world has too many idiots that will keep this company alive.
Starbucks (and Dunkin) will remain and CosMc's will quietly disappear.
No offense to the great workers at Starbucks:
Due to the company's history of promoting the woke Victim Virtue Pyramid,
especially racism/Affirmative Action/Diversity Industrial Complex's grift,
I've not patronized them in almost a decade.
Must watch videos by Frame Games, a lawyer on the inside.
Just remember, any good place that is cheap coffee and good products, no matter what, when they become bigger and have more chains, prices will be the same or near starbucks prices. doesnt matter, they always do it, every company has done it, prices will skyrocket
Plugging a drink I never heard of while telling me Starbucks is gonna fail was the best part.
The frap machine is always broke at McDonald's.
Starbucks rode on its own coattails for far too long while letting their prices and quality go on the opposite directions of a successful business'. Even a millenial like me feels slightly enticed to see what the CosMcs offer.
5:20 That's not 1.5-2B, it's $1,568 to $1,991 billion. As in, these are multi-trillion dollar markets.
8:25 lol this is McCafe is from my city (Vilnius), its actually quite nice in there and has some tables you can sit next to
I won't ever understand people that go out to buy a coffee instead of just making one at home. Then again, I don't understand why anyone would want coffee.
I used to consume too much coffee to the point that my limbs are shaking. I took Vit B-Complex, corrected sleep and whatever, but removing coffee was the right choice.
To think that people actually pay an overpriced coffee on a daily basis and putting their health at risk is just crazy...
I wouldn´t call starbucks overpriced unicorn vomit actual coffee.
