- Time delay relays are very important in a motor control circuit that requires sequence starting. Utilizing On delay relays allows you to time starts between motors. This video will explain how this is possible.

Very informative. I’m a woodworking guy, and a novice in electrical automation. I am trying to automate my shop vac filter cleaning. I have a 2kw 220V shop vac, and a small 200W motor that runs the filter cleaner. I start and stop the shop vac with a remote controller. Today I run the shop vac filter cleaner manually. I would want to run it automatically with a time delay, such that it starts 5 sec after shut down of shop vac, and runs for 10-15 sec, and then shuts down. This repeats after each time I use the shop vac. Do I need a full set of interlocking contactors, relay and timers to ackomplish my goal? Can you guide me, or better still, could I ask you to create a RUclips video on this topic, as I am sure I am not the only one struggling with this task.
a well thought out explaination
The auxiliary coil M
How it will hold if it in normally closed ?
I think It will be in open state ?
Greetings to you sir. Great tutorial. Can you do two of this circuit in one so that when one motor stops, the other starts? 3 phase.
Hello Thanks for the video. Can you help me on the following:
I have 2 Air-conditioning units which I don't want to have them turn on (takeoff) at the same time as if that happens the main circuit breaker switch trips. Therefore I need some sort of a delay-On device that receives signals from the two thermostats of the two AC units and then pass them to there assigned magnetic contactors one after the other with a time difference between the two to prevent the units from turning on at the same moment which will lead to MCB tripping.
Waiting for your valuable answer.
Regards,
.
if i remove the contact M and keep the timer will the timer still count 5 seconds if i press for 1 sec i will be left with 4 seconds or will it restart waiting for a continuous 5 seconds
Dont you need a cr1 to hold the start in place? Or does the time relay hold the botton closed?
You are technical but not clear may be you should have a better video
