I mean it is actually pretty good, if you do not want 5G or flashy cameras, it does the job very well

I can either get this phone with 8 GB RAM for $105 directly sold and shipped by amazon or the g24 power, with a fast car charger for 149 new from what seems to be a reliable seller from amazon. I don't "need" 5g but NFC is pretty important to me with all the "skimmers" being discovered around the world.
Any recommendations? Also does this phone have the FM Radio unlocked/useable without downloading another radio app?

Sadly Motorola didn't (or hasn't yet, but it feels unlikely at this stage) released the g24 Power here in Australia, so I can't say much in comparative/tested terms -- though historically Motorola's "Power" suffix phones have managed battery power well in prior testing.

I just bought this one G24 in Lavander, up to 16 Gb/128gb for 130 euros, but today I saw another offer the Moto G54 $GB/128GB for 150 euros, I use the phone only for photos, whatsapps, insta etc, nothing more complicated, now I am still thinking, should I bring back G24 ? or should i order the G54 4GB ram /128Gb ? the G54 comes in midnight blue. What should I do?? I wanted to spend about 100 euros and then for 20 euros more I got a better something, and then for 40 euros more I get something else, I wont buy a phone for more than 150 euros

For only 20 euros extra the G54 is the better choice, but here in Australia it's 50 euros more. But personally I don't want a 5G capable phone so I'd still get the G24 anyway, plus I don't use the phone for much other than calls, photos, text messages, emails, maps, banking, so I don't need G54. Phones are not my whole life, it's just a tool for communication, as long as the call quality is good that's the main thing and the 3.5mm jack has to have clear audio for headset for longer calls, I don't want to hear any humming or buzzing through poor grounding or whatever.

@@Animal_lives_matter thanks for your reply . But the photos in G54 are better I think. The offer now is 15€ not 20€ , but the G54 is coming with only 4Gb ram /128 Gb, not the one with 8gb. And the G24 is 8Gb out to 16 Gb, difficult to choose but I need to do it, I have a really old one.

Yeah the price of the g24 just went up slightly overnight here so I'm thinking g54 makes more sense

Today they dropped the price of G54 from 300AUD (185EUR) to 250AUD (155EUR) so I bought it just now. And it includes the charger and cable which the G24 doesn't here, so with third party charger purchased separately it costs the same as G54! What are they doing lol. And the colour is better midnight blue.

@@Animal_lives_matter Motorola Moto G54 5G 4GB/128 GB Midnight Blue, I suppose you got the one with 8GB/256Gb??? I dont know if this G54 4Gb/128Gb is still better than the G24 8GB/ 128 Gb, what should I do? what I want good or decent photos and speed.

Thanks a lot for this but what's the deal with the charger - it doesn't come with one in Australia and NZ and says to get the "turbopower" charging capability you need to buy the Motorola branded charger which I can't find anywhere to buy and even if I could it would blow out the price of this phone. Will I be fine buying the generic Kenji branded 20W charger for $12 at Officeworks and how slow will it charge? Did the G24 at least come with a USB-C charging cable because the Keji charger doesn't come with one either! But a reviewer on Officeworks is saying the G24 comes with the cable but no charger - is this correct? What an odd decision by Motorola if true. "Here's the cable but go find the charger yourself".

    • @AlexKidman
      @AlexKidman  3 месяца назад +1

It's becoming more common in the phone space -- the logic being that many people have had multiple phones, lots of excess chargers (but of course that doesn't help if you don't have one!). I can't speak to that specific charger per se but it *should* work just fine; "Turbopower" is just Motorola's branding on Qualcomm's QuickCharge technology, and its implementation on the G24 isn't even particularly fast; on paper that Kenji 20W charger should deliver everything the G24 can take, but I say that without having tested it specifically. I have plugged the G24 into quite a few chargers I've had, and everything 20W and above registered as Turbopower charging on-screen, though. There is a USB-C type cable in the box with the G24 (and honestly, at least with Officeworks you'd find it fairly easy to return if it didn't work at all).

      Thanks for the detailed response!
In the end I saw they dropped the price of the G54 by $50 across major retailers and that model does include the charger AND the cable so I grabbed one before they all disappear possibly due to the 3G+4G shutdown (I'm on a Nokia 4.2 currently, purchased 2019 from officeworks and it supports 4G VoLTE but somehow isn't "configured" by Nokia to work with Telstra's VoLTE configuration so it's effectively bricked).

It is -50 % now in Finland, 84,50 € (169 €). Reason to watch this video now.
    I had Motorola GSM 1990's.
Smart phones history all was prices begin, cheap:
Motorola (flash flight maybe still work),
Xiaomi (get stucked power off , update system was reason said service, cost 30 € e taxis, service 0 € ). I had to go downtown to have it service and buy One Plus. It did not find www in home.
Now I use One Plus, it do not find www in home either. I use internet with pc and wi-fi with phone, listen radio in bed.
    Sms from companies, usually taxi.
Phone calls to and from taxi.
I have also heritage Doro from mother. Good to have, if smartphone go broken to call taxi or ambulance.
I live maybe 1 km from link tower and 5 km from down town, www to home are terrible with these prices begin to homes . Luckily decent shops have wi-fi. Brother have decent Samsung, it did find maybe 3/5 bars connection in my home.
I hope 5G phones are better with www, I maybe buy it 2025-2030.
I do not want to buy Apple phone or Samsung or "Nokia". Looks like this is 1 phone to avoid too.
