+Henry Badger Would actually be cool if they had ones that were heavier (for splattering) or lighter (for faster movement.) Or like a troop carrier that can hold 1 passenger and 3 in the back, all that can shoot out with their weapons.
What if it was customizeable, and your camo didn't affect the req level required, however depending on the turret type it would require a higher in game req level
yooooo no wonder i got halo 5 recently was wondering like "what i got the ar, the br, the smg, shouldnt i get the dmr soon? *10 lvls later* "huh, oh well guess i'll keep lvling up and waiting"
Here's my REQ system dream for H6: -Remove alternate armor skins from the REQ system -Remove emblems -Make individual REQ's for each armor piece (helmet, body, legs, shoulders, arms, etc.) for each armor permutation. This way there's still a ton of REQs to unlock while making each one unique. -Once you get the REQ for an armor piece, challenges become available to unlock skin variations for that armor piece (play x games, kill x enemies while using that armor, etc). -Unlock loadout weapons as you level up but get the attachments through the REQ system. Overall i actually like the REQ system, it obviously has a lot of stuff to improve but i still think it's a better system than DLC map packs.
Basically they need to just jazz over the Halo Reach system. surely it can't be that hard... I mean Firefight Beta sucked dick.. and Reach's firefight was the coolest thing I still play it. that's how I think they could improve make a nicer looking Reach
S.B.P Erubiel2 Brown Fox You're pretty dumb if you actually think 343 can/will change the REQ system for Halo 5. Maybe some small changes here and there but nothing big.
Your ideas are so smartly obvious, that I am amazed that not one person working at 343 Industries ever put this in to the game. Here I was, wondering why the REQ system wasn't satisfying - but you point out what exactly is so wrong with the current system :D Hope you get some leverage (if I could, I'd help you out till you got to the top, and you got your ideas noted/developed by 343 Industries) Best of luck, man :) You're awesome
+HungryLasagne Thanks man! The req system is really disappointing because it really had the potential to be something special, and kind of change the way that microtransactions are done. Sadly, it just feels like another cheap, cash grab gimmick. I aim to make this channel and these videos heard by many people. So that there's a level of honesty and trust between Halo fans and 343i. That's the big goal here :P
+DELTA -A17 REACHing (see what I did?) General was sooo damn satisfying. I stopped playing Reach once I reached General, I was so proud. I went out in the best way possible
Sir Forti I know but if ya think about it. It does not make the company money. And gives no incentive for companies to give free updates and such.. It needs to be revamped tho.
AudileYeti32352 Well not these comments, THESE ARE HORRIBLE! ahaha kidding. Yea man, I take pride in my work and it feels really good to have a channel like HaloFollower, find my video, and decide to comment and say good things. I read most all and respond to pretty much everything that isn't gibberish or hard to understand. I think it's really important to be in tune with your audience. And I love comments!
Then why should the enemy even attack the boss? Suppose one team has already done 60 percent damage, your team may as well let them finish off the boss since nothing you do will matter. It's unfair and makes no sense as a design
The Act Man It's an AMAZING Soundtrack. DKC Tropical Freeze is one of my favorite games of all time. Also, I LOVE your videos. So much insight on Halo 5. Thanks. I can't wait to see more from you. Especially Part 2 of Halo 5's campaign being bad.
I honestly feel they should have kept armor out of the reqs in the first place. You lose that feeling of earning that one helmet that you've worked hard for, and instead are constantly hoping it just randomly appears in your pack
Ehh I think armor should always be tied to progression and specific achievements/challenges/progress in games Like imagine helioskril armor dedicated to covenant weaponry mastery Or scanner locked behind exploration in campaign On that note special req weapon variants should also be locked behind challenges or at least have permanence
That idea of the HCS cards REALLY got me excited. Reminds me of those SUPER rare cards given away in a Japanese magazine contest where kids could send in their own art for a chance for it to be featured and printed on a real Pokémon card.
But nooooo, I play all day with my friends, and rack up 80000 points buy 8 gold packs and get nothing appearance wise and a bunch of shit that I don't use because I don't play Warzone.
Great work man, you honestly read my mind with some of these ideas, and I was just waiting for someone to make a video like this, keep up the good work!
i like your vids because you dont make people hate the game or trash it you just show people how it could be better, you pitch amazing ideas and it makes people go back and play those games even if there not that good. keep up all the filfy content man.
343 should add where you can buy certain reqs and armour for a certain amount of req points. ex: a nornfang certification would cost 100k req points or something more realistic. Or war master helmet let's say 40k req points. And then the variations after would only be 5k req points mostly like the credit system in reach but still with the same system as now but a little add on. Like this comment if you guys think it was pretty good idea'
Maybe have it something like Halo Reach's XP system with the Reqs. You still earn and unlock armour pieces for your Spartan/Elite, and have all the emblems from the getgo, but you can use XP to either buy your armour (once you've unlocked it) or use XP on Req packs and chance some unique weapons. Maybe have individual req packs for certain weapons, like a dedicated vehicles pack, or a dedicated Assult rifles pack. No armour in Reqs.
The Act Man haha, think people have said worse. The truth is I like your ideas, although the issue is that when you pay 90$ (here in Quebec) upfront for a game, you expect to get all the content. Games where you spend money upfront should have everything, and the only time where you want to pay extra is when they add something to the game. You may say "well 343i has free updates" but that is only because they didnt finish their game, and are adding features that were supposed to be in the game in the first place. It also feels like a scam, even with your ideas. Because lets say for example I want an armor set, i got like a 1/300 chance to get that set. Sure its not that low compared to other systems but it still shows that sign of "i got this armor because I was lucky". I believe you mentioned this in another video of yours how REACH's armor system was way better and I completely agree. Reach enabled the player to make goals and continue playing, and when you saw someone with that high tier gear (like haunted) they would be like "holy shit, what a virgin!" and I loved it. But not it does not matter. 343i ahould even focus on making fewer but more standing out armor designs than subtle. In reach your spartan was like a bioncle toy, an you can mix and match piece around. They stuck out so people noticed and thats what the most important thing. And why I believe the ElDewrito Halo Online does right by adding older armor variants to the game. I think the best example of doing micro transactions right is on Warframe. You only spend money on cosmetic and fast access to other content. But everything else can be realisticly looted for. In addition the game is free and has a plethora of features, I can raid, do special sortie, play pvp, make a clan house, play 8 different game modes and the list goes on. Warframe makes me feel like I want to spend money, because not only do i get cool stuff discounted from the normal rate but, the notion of support actually shows. Digital Extremes releases an update every single week, fixing and tweaking many game modes. They revisit aspects of their game and upgrade them while adding some new ones. They constantly re balance and rework the classes. You can tell that my money is actually contributing to the game, wheras Halo it does not feel like so. I spend 30$ lets say, and we still have like what 5 standard game modes, theres still no fileshare, infection is non existant, all the features that you can access if you have a shitty laptop and an internet connection through Halo:Online. 343i needs to forget creating ways to milk their audience. They need to step up their game, because right now a random team of modders are pummeling them. ElDewrito, despite its flaws, has custom games, has the ENTIRE INTERNET as its fileshare, mods, server browser and 50x the game modes. Halo:Online in terms of quality and features is destroying Halo 5 and its free. Also, move Halo to the PC. PC players are smart people, theyre not going to spend 400$ for outdated hardware when they can spend the same amount for a machine with 2x the performance and features for the same price. The only reason why a PC player would have an xbox one is because they have a lot of disposable income. Microsoft has to move their franchise to the pc too. They need to make a halo 6 that plays like halo 3 or even with reach's (very short sprint). And Halo:reach's armor unlock system and maybe leveling system, with all of those community features. Also why only spartan 4s? No one like spartan fours, they look like gay anime robots. How about having spartan 4s but adding older variants, why not choose to be a spartan 3, spartan 2, spartan 1? And add new armor fro those types that werent in previous games. It's ashame when a company has so much to work with yet they fuck it al up.
You make a lot of good points. I think moving Halo to PC would be a great idea in the long run! Though it may be one less reason for people to buy xboxs
The Act Man That is considering if Halo Was a console seller. But lets be honest, as the lowest selling title in the series, it doesn't sell consoles anymore. MC needs to be more aggressive like what they did last Christmas (reducing the price of the xbox to 350). IF they want Halo to be the console seller, they need to full on redeem themselves. They need to actually make a proper investment, make a full title, a non biased marketing campagain, game modes, customs games and file share. etc..
I'm assuming MC means Microsoft. Yes, they really need to step up their game. Halo 5 appeals to a smaller group of people, than any other Halo game has before.
I really like that you didn't just focus on what was bad with the REQ system, but you also provided insight, and suggestions! People are getting good at pointing out mistakes, but it's becoming almost rarity to see constructive criticism accompanied with that! In other words, great video!
Act Man I hope you read this comment. I don't want the REQ System to be removed but I want changes in it. So I want 343i to put the vehicles and weapons only to Warzone and remove the customizations from the REQ Packs such as emblems, assassinations, skins, and armors. For Armor I would like it if we go back to the Reach System where you buy your own armor pieces. For emblems I want it to be like Call of Duty Black Ops 2 where you can make whatever you want. And for assassinations it would be cool if you had to do challenges to unlock them. What do you think?
One of the best videos yet! I'll try to spread this video on Halo Waypoint. Keep up this top quality content and you'll be one of the biggest Halo Channels out there.
+El Killer Taco Thanks for spreading the word! More attention is always good. I plan on maintaining this type of high-quality videos, as well as some other fun projects :P
I've gotta say I've checked out some different videos on this channel after this one such as why are there less game modes and i gotta agree with everything on this video! It's so annoying how I'm almost a level 55 but I still don't have a DMR, and I only have 5 different types of BR's, 2 AR's, and 1 SMG. Also getting really tired with the lack of modes to do. Hate playing Apex 7 on Warzone, then try to switch it up and go to Big Team Battle, only to spawn and get killed by dudes on Warthogs. Props for making this video and keep it up dude!
What the hell is it with Halo 5 and DMR's? Was the game designed to give you the DMR only after you've put more time than you should have in to this game?
+Osiris The Exiled oh man this comment made me laugh! It's like there's this huge controversy with the DMR and everyone's got something to say about it XD Yes, I think that's the way they designed the DMR unlock.
I can’t believe other people got the DMR later on in the game! I got the DMR back when I first started playing matchmaking in Halo 5: Guardians back in 2015.
+Favyn Thanks man! Glad you enjoy it! You got some good content too. I especially like what you say about armor and it being rewarding, and how in WoW you saw some guy with awesome armor and that fostered community interaction!
Would be better with a slot machine and earned stuff. Makes the thrill of possibly getting the item from the slots AND you can earn it yourself. I like the slots just for the excitement of what i got, if its good, but i dont like how every single thing is randomised other than level achieved emblems.
When I played Reach those daily challenges were practically a job for me....I would get home from school every single day and hop on for an hour or two AT LEAST to get those challenges, me and my friends used to grind the shit out of those.
Halos community sorry i mean FAMILY will come back together and hv fun and be fully satisfied.....how are you not a famous RUclipsr but you earned my satisfaction and i hv subbed
+The Act Man well the lack of split screen, the main story not having us play as master chief 100% of the time as well as forcing us to have ai companions with us the whole time, and Locke and Master Chief never really fighting also stung , still not being able to spawn ai into forge mode, still not adding playable elites back, and how long its taken game types like infection, something they made such a huge deal about for halo 4, only recently being added to the game.
holy moly Act man. those ideas are such a simple idea, but never thought of from any other vids ive seen. they really shouldve added them. weapon/vehicle/armour packs would of been sweet
Love you used my collection at 17:05! Makes me all giddy! I agree with your ideas for the req system. Really, all they had to do was have Weapon Packs, Customization Packs and Vehicle Packs with a Gold/Silver/Bronze of each to make the randomness less of a pain in the ass. Also, a real easy thing to help with the rarity issue, make it so Gold doesn't unlock Silver only reqs and Silver doesn't unlock Bronze. That would go a long way in making the req packs feel like a better value. Not sure how I feel about the card game though. Mostly because I don't like card games myself. Can't hurt, if done right, to have in any case.
+OozyGorilla Whaaaaaat!? Is that really your collection? Where's your proof, huh? :P Yea the card game would more or less be tied into the req cards so that the whole system comes together both in Halo 5, and in the outside world!
I can get you some if you want! Not really sure what would be definitive, but I could get it! I do see where you're coming from on the card game. I'm sure if Microsoft decided to actually go with it, it would be fine but given how some to card games, I'd be wary of the idea. But to be realistic, I'd probably totally buy into the actual collecting.
OozyGorilla Haha I believe you :P wouldn't want you to pose all of your collection again just to prove it to me! Funny how I used that pic in my video to show off collectors and you happened to watch it all the way through and see it XD I'd definitely start collecting Halo cards too! I mean, Microsoft can pretty much hire as many people as they want to work on the card game, and since they already have so many Microsoft stores around the country, they could easily create it and makes loads emone
Some Req System Tweaks All armour/weapon skins can be obtained from req packs. Armour skins should be organised like Halo Reach's modifications. To get basic armour sets, level up or open commendation req packs. Holding X will pop up a menu with the option to sell 20, 10 and 5 req cards. To get mythic armour sets you will need to complete some achievements. My Ideas for Achievements Mythic Armour Sets John: finish solo legendary campaign Locke: coop legendary campaign Kelly: beat all par times/scores Tanaka: all intel/skulls/terminals Linda: get 10 snipeltaneous medals Fred: (maybe) 20 perfection medals Buck: destroy 50 Warzone cores Vale: win a game of Warzone 1000-0 Achilles: finish kills commendations Mark IV: finish objective comm Helioskrill: beat legendary MCC Mark V: all enemy commendations Mark V (B): finish all weapon comm I know it's a massive wall of text but I wanted say something... So yeah!
343 should add a req pack that replaces the voice of Palmer in warzone with main characters such as the Arbiter, Master chief, Cortana, Roland and many many more. And you can choose any one you want. Only for 1,000,000 req points or $49.99. P.S. A secondary pack could be for arena where the announcers voice is replaced by the Arbiters for red team and the Master chiefs for blue team.
+The Act Man Yes it's sarcasm, the real price would be either $35.99 or $39.99AUD or 1,000,000req points (was not sarcastic). A little bit pricey but it also comes with holocards and a exclusive in game item that is IMPOSSIBLE to get otherwise, this in game item is a stance where you can have three of your best buddies in the most awesome stance ever. That or something else. No sarcasm here.
lol best halo critique video i have watched in a long time, i slightly agree on your opinions, i think it would be better if there was just armor req packs, assasination emblem req pack, and vehicles/weapon req pack. Really fun vid to watch and i can tell u put alot of work on it!
Something that they might be able to do is sell REQ point, then have you buy weapons you want. That way, if you wanted a Prophets' Bane, but I didn't have enough REQ points, I could buy the REQ point, the buy the weapon. 343 gets money, I get what I want, we all win.
Its pretty sad that day the servers of halo 5 die out is the day you cant do jack else than campaign and even the cosmetic reqs will have been in vain. Heck you wont even be able to play forge ever again. Sweet video once again Act, really creative and extremely halo feeling ideas. Cant wait for part 2!
+Altron Thanks man! And you said it, once Halo 5's servers go down, all fans will have is the worst Halo Campaign ever. So once that happens, Halo 5 will essentially be unplayable. If you think about it, this is as close to a "Multiplayer Only Game" that you can possibly get, without actually being there.
The MT system can be used to unlock things like weapon skins, map packs, or interesting avatars, like unlocking a Spartan III avatar in the REQ packs or a Brute, or even a jackal. It would be interesting to see a player pop up as brutes, jackals, and multiple spartan generations with various perks in multiplayer, as different gameplay mechanics (if time allows or through later updates) will defitely attract a lot more new players and keep the current fanbase entertained.
Really good ideas! i have also seen that leveling up don't make any difference and it makes it so that i don't care what level i am in and don't care about it, at least you unlocked armor stuff and could specialize in halo 4 which gave leveling up a purpose
One thing I'd like to see is having armor in parts like they did in Halo 4 and Reach, that way we get to truly customize our spartans and buy more req packs. If that isn't enough they could make so that you earn a for example a pair of shoulders or a chest peice that way we get customization and they can get money. I could be a bit biased on this because I'm that asshole who has earned everything from req packs so i wouldn't mind mixing up my armor a bit. cant wait for part 2!
I like some of the req weapons and lore for them. I don't want them completely removed in multiplayer however conservatively; like the power weapons they are. I love how they are in Halo 5's game's campaign. I think that it is a flawless way to intertwine side missions/collectables, lore, encourage exploration and repeat playings, and it fulfills the power fantasy (like the Scarab Gun). My only gripe is that the weapons disappear after every level witch makes finding them kind of pointless. They should not. I propose that instead, they are added to an Armory you slowly earn and collect if you know were to find them and are skilled enough to obtain them. Ammunition for these power weapons should be rare and or hard to get. For instance to get some Blood of Suban ammunition (besides the few left in the gun from the initial discovery) you would need to go off the beaten path trough some hidden cave or something. You would discover some ruins of an alien weapons manufacture testing lab. after some platforming and taking down some remint automatic defense systems(maybe find a key card), you would find ammo for the Blood of Suban (the ammo is added to the armory automatically. However if you use the ammo in a campaign mission, you would have less if not no ammo to be reserved for later mentions.) of course you would still be limited to two weapons a Spartan (squad) for balance sake. The weapons do not break, but ammo is extremely finite. If you did not find the weapon itself from the previous level, your curiosity would be peeked and you would be naturally encouraged to make a mental note to yourself when you replay the earlier levels of the campaign to keep an eye out for the legendary weapon because now you know were some extra ammo is. Req vehicles can be intertwined in this way too however only for missions that make realistic sense. You/your squad can collect legendary weapons and their ammo and add it to your armory; creating a "got to catch them all" vibe through out the experience. you can choose to bring the weapon with you into a boss battle levels. The req weapons and ammo in the campaign should not be purchasable with real world money. Maybe for the extremely overpowered req weapons/vehicles, you would not only have to find the ammo and the gun itself, but also the weapon would be damaged so you would need to find a schematic from a hidden terminal and the corresponding rare scattered components to make the weapon useable. Maybe one component can only be gotten from completing some scientist's side quest. It could realy make the Artumiss System more Relevant. What do y'all think?
Nice vid. I convinced with everything but limited edition cards and exclusive cards. That's pretty much the thing you said in the start- Locking content from the poor and giving I to the rich guys.
+mrsomebody nonrandom Yea that's it! People that unlock everything in the req system become more "rich in reqs," while those that haven't struggle to find ultra rares, legendaries and mythics.
A req system where reqs are tied to mode settings would be much better. No microtransactions, no need to open packs, no randomness, no selling reqs, and BALANCE. Here's how it would work: players have their reqs preset in custom game settings similar to halo 4s ordinance. More powerful reqs can only be summoned a limited number of times by a player/team (no tank spam). Neutral power reqs are first earned, first served. No free req points over time. Alter the scoring system to complement this, and viola.Balanced reqs. Here's an example: you start a team slayer match. There are 11 reqs mirrored for each team. 5 tier one reqs, (such as carbine, battle rifle, non-power weapon refill, DMR, mongoose). You can summon any one of these reqs any time you have the points. 3 Tier two reqs, but each player can only summon so many of tier 2 per match. 2 tier 3 reqs, but a limited number can be summoned by the team as a whole per match (2 tanks per team, no matches where everyone has a tank). The reqs are first earned, first served. 1 tier 4 req available to both teams, but just like before, early bird gets the worm. To balance this, make it so killing players who have power weapons and vehicles earns bonus points. That will allow the other team/player a chance at a comeback if they kill the highest scoring opponent (basically, if you kill the enemy's tank, you get a big point bonus toward your own reqs). Last but not least, its much more simple.
1. A trading option, so any useless rec my friend wants and vise versa we can swap with each other and not just sell it. 2. Have like in halo reach where you buy items but make the prices high like 100k for a helmet or 200k for an assassination. I would use my money to buy something that I knew for a fact I was getting. 3.More limited time recs, like on a certain day there's a rec pack that gives you a phaton or on a holiday make rare pacs more available
+Derrick La'mamino Trade system is cool, though 343 might see that as something that hampers profits. BUT that would be so cool to have if there was also a card game aspect of Halo 5!! More good ideas! Buy a Phaeton for 5,000 req points or whatever! This means there is no excuse for people not using the phaeton. Gives people a reliable way to use certain items/reqs
Hey Act Man I’m rewatching some of your old videos and I think it would be cool if with the armor they made it into legs arms helmet and chest piece and they all had a challenge or series of challenges to complete to unlock certain pieces it would provide more to do in game maybe say you have to use some weapons you normally wouldn’t use, but hey kinda late now lol maybe halo 6?
I'd love to have some kind of unlock token (clearances) system like in Black Ops 2 (I know, COD, but they had some pretty good ideas) and tokens (clearances) are separated by rarity and type of unlock, so you could get a legendary token for loadout weapons, an ultra rare token for a SET of armor including the armor and helmet, an uncommon token for a one time use REQ certification and so on, with the security clearances still limited by level, of course. REQ packs would still work the same otherwise, with a bunch of random shit and maybe sometimes you get a permanent unlock (while retaining the ability to use clearances to get exactly what you want), and if you used a token (clearance) to unlock the certification for a one time use REQ, say the scorpion tank, you'd get more of that in random packs than you would without having used a token/clearance to get the certification. What 343 has done really well was the separation of warzone and arena, kudos. Also, the game is still, despite what rabid haters like to spew, pretty damn fun, even with all its flaws.
I like the idea of booster packs making a more consistent reward system in Halo 5. Also the idea of unlocking clearances based off levels is a smart way to allow players to get what they want as long as they're playing the game, as long as you can only get unlocked reqs randomly via booster packs(so I could just get my first legendary clearance, unlock the phaeton, and have a rare but reliable chance of getting one in a vehicle pack). If that were the case, I think that the various booster packs could also be ranked, so that I could reliably get those sweet ONI vehicles.
+Arga Wala Thing Exactly! Reliable, yet still random and exciting. The Security Clearances give the player "influence" over their own luck! Instead of 99% random all the time.
Another 10/10 video! Your idea is fantastic, but I do think the current system is the perfect way of making the most profit. I have this theory that the system is tuned so specific reqs are unlocked after you've opened a certain amount of reqs, an example being the fact almost everybody unlocks the DMR in one of their last silver packs around level 70. Another example being the Phaeton, almost everyone gets it as their last cert. That can't just be chance right? If my theory is true then it means anybody buying packs just to unlock the DMR would have to spend an absolute fortune. Though the amount of people doing that is low you still see the odd person on Waypoint claiming to have spent hundreds of dollars on unlocking the Helljumper set. With your proposed system there is no chance of a single person putting that much money in, but it would definitely get more people buying packs. It's a tough one!
+Jacorpes01 Well, my system would appeal to a much wider demographic. While the current system appeals to gamblers. I think if my system had the opportunity to be finely tuned, it would be better for everyone. remember, these are just my ideas. I'm one guy! 343i and Microsoft have hundreds of people. I'm not even sure if the req unlocks are tuned like that. It certainly would make some sense though...
+The Act Man That's true! It would be really cool to see something like this implemented, especially the physical card aspect of it. I would even consider buying one! I don't think there's much chance of getting new system in Halo 5 as it would be a big middle finger to the people who've already spent hundreds on req packs, but I really hope we get a system more like this in Halo 6. There needs to be less focus on selling req packs in general and more choices would certainly help sell them without forcing people into Warzone by holding back content!
Of course not! They're not going to change it. The title is" How 343i COULD'VE Improved Halo 5's Req System" It;s too late to implement most of these things :P But I want to let everyone know how much better it all could've been
+The Act Man Yeah man, I'm not criticising you, they're all really good ideas and that's true for all your videos! I just hope 343 take note of your channel because it's all stuff which is so easily doable for Halo 6 and really would make the game more enjoyable.
Thank you! They should have different type of REQs packs. And yes, we do have something like that already, but they cost REAL money and their only for special events. 343 could make like an armor pack, or shotgun pack, or something like that where you're going to get random things, but know that you're going to get things that fall under that CATEGORY. And they should make the packs' cost on game changing abilities. For armors, visors, and helmets, they should be cheap, because it is only for aesthetic. But if it is like a rocket launcher or Spartan laser pack, it should cost 10000 - 30000 REQ points, depending on how much damage it deals and how many players could use it effectively, which the AI that does that is already there, just isn't being used for that purpose, so don't say shit about how AIs aren't that advanced yet, because they are. After a multiplayer game, you can see the percentage of your accuracy. Mine is always above 80 and my average is 91%. They just need to reutilize the AI and then they could make the REQ packs more fair and just to what players will receive. Also, this had nothing to do with the improvement of the REQ system, BUT WE NEED MORE FUCKING CUSTOMIZATION BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GET DIDDLY SHIT IN THIS GAME.
They have a special offer that actually made me buy the 47 gold pack bundle because it was only $60. And it helped me finish my collection so I was really happy
There are two more ideas that I would like to see although I do agree with everything you said. refill req pack. if you are going though your reqs you can spend coin's on reqs you already have to gamble to get them again. at the cost of either triple the price or the chance that you'll spend the points and not get anything for them. I would also like to see the certifications count as a req. in that like tighten fall you can bring say four certifications with you and use them only once that game at their normal price. With Consumable reqs being usable as long as you have the power to bring them in
I love grinding and grinding to get what I want to know I'll get it at some point, and to know I can buy more Packs with my RP and earn XP as I go. But one of my problems is the weapon skins, there is so many camos to make customization more personal, but here is how it should be: Example: You open a gold pack, get a "Rare AR Camo pack". If you open it, you can pick ANY Rare AR camo that you have yet to unlock. So if I got a "Ultra Rare BR Camo Pack" and I have been waiting AGES to get Bloodthirst, I can choose to get that. I Have all Green Machine skins, except on the Magnum, so I can open an "Uncommon Magnum Camo Pack" choose "Green Machine", and there I go, Green machine on all my guns! Also here is my opinion on your "Customization Pack" you said it to have only customization items, but it should have 1 helmet 1 armor 1 weapon camo 1 stance 1 assassination 1 visor 1 emblem and with my idea above for the camos would really make this a successful customization pack P.S: Tweet this to 343i for Halo 6. PLZ, and your other criticising videos for Halo 5.
these ideas are incredible. im amazed at how many people and dollars were put to work making and marketing this game by such gigantic companies and your ideas (which are completely legitimate and realistic) are so so much better than what they came up with.
+AMP Storm Haha thanks, AMP! And I'm just one guy who loves Halo. I see what 343 and Microsoft were trying to do, and it looks like they took the lazy route when it came to marketing and advertising and coming up with quality features.
Don't forget the money bomb. The person who uses the Req will get barely anything out of it for themselves, but everyone around them will just get showered in goodies. This exact item by the same name was actually pioneered in a Korean MMO, and because of how human psychology works, it was actually a huge success.
If 343 industries does one thing from this video, it should be make separate vehicle, weapon, and customization req packs with their own gold, silver and bronze tiers. That would be so awesome and I could finally get some good weapon skins
I'm level 107 and I just got everything from rare down in the game. Including the latest update. It took forever and it wasn't like I was getting luck with a lot of purples and golds, I rarely got those. So the fact that it took that long to get everything from a rare down with only buying to pack with actual money is a little crazy.
My ideas: ME3 Multiplayer had the same random packs of stuff. If I remember well they were 4. I forgot the names of the packages but were basicly blue, silver, purple and darker purple. And weapons were... Blue, silver, gold... somethign else? And the best rank weapon was N7 Same with characters The thing is that Blue packs had 5 blue rated items, and a slight chance to get a silver. Silver packs had at least 1-2 silver items and a slight chance of a gold one, rest would be blue thingies. Now on the purple was a 100% you get at least 2-3 golds, the rest of the 10 item pack would be random from a silver/blue chance and slight chance for an high tier item like the N weaponry or characters. And the Darker purple was just a 20 item pack with double the chance of this gold-N7 rated items. Of course it was twice as expensive. Now the thing is that you could get repeated items (weapons, characters and consumables) but that was okay because weapons got buffed everytime they repeated and characters got more colors, camo, skin color, etc! This could easily be translated to recks just by being sure you get at least 2-3 higher tier stuff from the expesive packs. Now as for the way to get them you could eather play a match on different difficulty, of course the higher the more credits you get and afford the high priced packs quicker. On Halo... The special game modes giving some more experience/points for you to get the recs? I didnt know they got the challanges out! They should get them back and give recs to those who do them! This is my idea. I dont know how it sounds.
I play halo 5 almost everyday mostly warzone. And one thing that I've always loved was the reqs. Random isn't bad and technically not totally random I mean that's why there's gold, silver and bronze. Most people have problems getting the DMR because they try using gold packs first instead of getting all commen to uncommon to rare to ultra rare to legendary and to mythic. If you start at using bronze packs first than to silver You'll get the DMR at the first time you purchase a silver because a DMR is rare to legendary of course it won't be easy to get cause it's one of the greatest guns in warzone. I mean if there was a drastic change on how to getting the cards Warzone wouldn't be warzone anymore. I mean the more you play the more you get. I'm at level 148. Not once I've ever bought a red pack from 343 and I have saved 250,000 req points saved. I even know someone that has 2,000,000. I say don't change the reqs keep playing and you'll get what you want I mean that's how you get the greatest armor in the game. (The Achilles armor)
I've been talking about stuff like this with my friend and man you put everything together the way I want it and them some especially with the security clearance and if they made a Halo card game id be broke.
We need about 70 more scout warthogs.
+Henry Badger Would actually be cool if they had ones that were heavier (for splattering) or lighter (for faster movement.) Or like a troop carrier that can hold 1 passenger and 3 in the back, all that can shoot out with their weapons.
The Act Man Actually, not a bad idea! XD
I wish it was like battlefield 1. We can customise our own vehicles, but it spawns on the battlefield, not behind a money payment
What if it was customizeable, and your camo didn't affect the req level required, however depending on the turret type it would require a higher in game req level
Henry Badger warthogs Need to carry 300 people
I got the dmr at lvl 80 let that sink in
Got DMR verification at Lvl 23. Let THAT sink in
I'm level 44 and I still dont have it
I have 2 dmr skins but no dmr
yooooo no wonder i got halo 5 recently was wondering like "what i got the ar, the br, the smg, shouldnt i get the dmr soon? *10 lvls later* "huh, oh well guess i'll keep lvling up and waiting"
it took me 60 hours to get my DMR then shortly after I got it the next pack I got gave me another one
Here's my REQ system dream for H6:
-Remove alternate armor skins from the REQ system
-Remove emblems
-Make individual REQ's for each armor piece (helmet, body, legs, shoulders, arms, etc.) for each armor permutation.
+Hectorlo I'm liking this
Basically they need to just jazz over the Halo Reach system.
surely it can't be that hard... I mean Firefight Beta sucked dick.. and Reach's firefight was the coolest thing I still play it.
that's how I think they could improve make a nicer looking Reach
Why a completely new game for that. XD YOU ARE DUMB FUCK!!!
S.B.P Erubiel2 Brown Fox You're pretty dumb if you actually think 343 can/will change the REQ system for Halo 5. Maybe some small changes here and there but nothing big.
Hectorlo Yea maybe a couple tweaks, but really, they let the opportunities pass by.
Lv 130 but no halo 2 br :(
+Oscar Arias *sniff
Got it on level 27
+Sorry Just Rich I'm a level 60 and no DMR or rocket hog NOT EVEN A ONI GUN GOOSE
+Game mix buy bronze packs till you get req points from it, then buy silvers till you get req points from it then buy golds it's simple.
Damn that sucks. A lot of times I keep opening up the gold packs hopeing for the Halo 2 BR, but as this video says: Complete Random.
You're content is well edited, well structured and keeps the audience entertained
+Vansterdam Dreddy *slow clap
+MrCraze45 Thanks man! I'm starting to create my own style of videos here. I like the structure!
+The Act Man Great stuff man, keep it up!
A TRADING SYSTEM
hell yeah :D
You can trade sorta in game
Have one dude spawn the item and another spawn the trade, if you're still looking to do so
My friend made a forum list about this on waypoint
Looinrims he means in the menus or online
Jayton Hawkins Ever heard about how you could send Gold Packs to friends and players?
Your ideas are so smartly obvious, that I am amazed that not one person working at 343 Industries ever put this in to the game. Here I was, wondering why the REQ system wasn't satisfying - but you point out what exactly is so wrong with the current system :D
Hope you get some leverage (if I could, I'd help you out till you got to the top, and you got your ideas noted/developed by 343 Industries)
Best of luck, man :) You're awesome
+HungryLasagne Thanks man! The req system is really disappointing because it really had the potential to be something special, and kind of change the way that microtransactions are done. Sadly, it just feels like another cheap, cash grab gimmick.
I aim to make this channel and these videos heard by many people. So that there's a level of honesty and trust between Halo fans and 343i.
That's the big goal here :P
Jesus Christ loves you, God bless heal and forgive you
Man I remember when I reached General in Reach man... I saved all my credits from captain to then... great times
+DELTA -A17 REACHing (see what I did?) General was sooo damn satisfying. I stopped playing Reach once I reached General, I was so proud. I went out in the best way possible
The Act Man lol
+The Act Man i made it to reclaimer, the level right before inheritor. Once I get maxed in halo5, I'm finishing up reach
Kevin Cutter Nice!! Best of luck to you!
+The Act Man thanks man
I'd honestly rather just go back to the Credit system.
Sir Forti I know but if ya think about it. It does not make the company money. And gives no incentive for companies to give free updates and such.. It needs to be revamped tho.
Instead they looked at fortnite and decided to port its season pass system to halo reach mcc
@@hoogis hey, atleast it's better than squeakers playground. (Fortnite)

Your understanding of a game's system and the combination of humor is divine. Keep kicking ass, ACT MAN.

+HaloFollower Wow man, I am honored you watched my video AND commented! That makes me feel awesome and motivated to kick ass!
+The Act Man M8 that is very lucky you've impressed someone from halofollower who saw this video
+The Act Man also i like how you try to reply to as many comments as possible
AudileYeti32352 Well not these comments, THESE ARE HORRIBLE! ahaha kidding.
Yea man, I take pride in my work and it feels really good to have a channel like HaloFollower, find my video, and decide to comment and say good things.
I read most all and respond to pretty much everything that isn't gibberish or hard to understand. I think it's really important to be in tune with your audience. And I love comments!

I loved the MW2 level up sounds... damn that riff was cool.
+AverageGuard Lucas Aww yea!
In my opinion, MW2 was the best and last good COD
Ryan Felderman Black Ops 1 and 2 are also debatably pretty good too
Its simple. Req packs, RNG, microtransactions do not belong in Halo.

11:00 is super accurate about my thoughts when I open Pokemon TCG booster packs.
who ever does the most damage on ai boss, should get the credit
good point
Then why should the enemy even attack the boss? Suppose one team has already done 60 percent damage, your team may as well let them finish off the boss since nothing you do will matter. It's unfair and makes no sense as a design

SalsaSpartan7 Yea man! Def one of my favorite Nintendo games!
The Act Man I hear ya! Also, thanks for replying man. You made my day!
SalsaSpartan7 Yea buddy! you got it :D
I honestly feel they should have kept armor out of the reqs in the first place. You lose that feeling of earning that one helmet that you've worked hard for, and instead are constantly hoping it just randomly appears in your pack
Ehh I think armor should always be tied to progression and specific achievements/challenges/progress in games
Like imagine helioskril armor dedicated to covenant weaponry mastery
Or scanner locked behind exploration in campaign
On that note special req weapon variants should also be locked behind challenges or at least have permanence
That idea of the HCS cards REALLY got me excited. Reminds me of those SUPER rare cards given away in a Japanese magazine contest where kids could send in their own art for a chance for it to be featured and printed on a real Pokémon card.
+Nintendan Oh yea!! Stuff like that really makes people crazy, you know?
But nooooo, I play all day with my friends, and rack up 80000 points buy 8 gold packs and get nothing appearance wise and a bunch of shit that I don't use because I don't play Warzone.
It's funny how it could be almost 2 years before we can experience even more than half of the content thats already in the fucking game.
Your ideas are brilliant! I really hope 343i see these and take some notes!
+Dan .B Me too! Thanks man!
My reaction whenever I open a Gold Pack: "GIVE ME A STANCE, PLEASE!!!!!"
Great work man, you honestly read my mind with some of these ideas, and I was just waiting for someone to make a video like this, keep up the good work!
+Redroanified Thanks man! Glad you liked it. I feel like all of this stuff needs to be said.
They need to make you able to trade req cards, for example you won't use the warthogs, why not trade them for something that you do want
+Baash555 This is a neat idea! If players could trade cards with other people, it would foster a lot of community interaction.
Should be able to trade with others or recycle, like exchange a bunch of extra cards to either unlock a permanent version or get another pack
i like your vids because you dont make people hate the game or trash it you just show people how it could be better, you pitch amazing ideas and it makes people go back and play those games even if there not that good. keep up all the filfy content man.

JustinsaneS222 3000 hours!!!
JustinsaneS222 halo five was dead when it came out
343 should add where you can buy certain reqs and armour for a certain amount of req points. ex: a nornfang certification would cost 100k req points or something more realistic. Or war master helmet let's say 40k req points. And then the variations after would only be 5k req points mostly like the credit system in reach but still with the same system as now but a little add on. Like this comment if you guys think it was pretty good idea'
+Travis Bourrier Yea that makes sense too! More specific things available for purchase with req points.
The Act Man just re-wrote 343's three whole years of their "req system"
Maybe have it something like Halo Reach's XP system with the Reqs.
You still earn and unlock armour pieces for your Spartan/Elite, and have all the emblems from the getgo, but you can use XP to either buy your armour (once you've unlocked it) or use XP on Req packs and chance some unique weapons.
Maybe have individual req packs for certain weapons, like a dedicated vehicles pack, or a dedicated Assult rifles pack.
No armour in Reqs.
"Bunch of good ideas that just werent executed properly" Baiscally 343i business in a nutshell
+Seventh “Sugar J” Swell Ouch! That's gotta sting!
4:03 LMAOOOOOOOO all of those warthogs!!!!
I maxed out my DMR commendation before I got a DMR
I really like that you didn't just focus on what was bad with the REQ system, but you also provided insight, and suggestions!
People are getting good at pointing out mistakes, but it's becoming almost rarity to see constructive criticism accompanied with that!
In other words, great video!
+Rythaze Yea! Exactly! It's easy to be negative, it's much harder to be constructive. I like to think I do a good job of being constructive :P

Dude you have an amazing channel here, subbed
+Saber Plate Thanks! :D Enjoy the channel
What do you think?
good idea
Maybe add an element of PWYW to it
NikoBellic1300 Yea, but for the emblems they should have some basic emblems you can use but you can also make your own.
Looking forward to it!
awesome video!!
+James Coleman Thanks man! Glad you enjoy my channel!
What the hell is it with Halo 5 and DMR's? Was the game designed to give you the DMR only after you've put more time than you should have in to this game?
+Osiris The Exiled oh man this comment made me laugh! It's like there's this huge controversy with the DMR and everyone's got something to say about it XD
Yes, I think that's the way they designed the DMR unlock.
I can’t believe other people got the DMR later on in the game! I got the DMR back when I first started playing matchmaking in Halo 5: Guardians back in 2015.
really enjoy your content man! you have a cool style.
it's intelligent, but light hearted and funny at the same time.
keep it up!
+Favyn Thanks man! Glad you enjoy it! You got some good content too. I especially like what you say about armor and it being rewarding, and how in WoW you saw some guy with awesome armor and that fostered community interaction!
Don't forget destiny is whooping halo 5 butt right now because destiny has all of this!
Screw the req system. halo 4 had a much more consistenty. and happy 4 was bad.
Redskull Lion and it's micro transactions are purely cosmetic and many can be received in game for completing daily/weekly challenges
Aviatorwolf573 so uh, no one can state facts? Cool world we live in huh

+Diagonally The Darkest Yeeee buddy! Add me, my Gamertag is "The Act Man"
How about they fix it by getting rid of Requisitions altogether.
The Louster I mean it pays for free new updates... I don't think it's overall evil but can be revamped
Would be better with a slot machine and earned stuff. Makes the thrill of possibly getting the item from the slots AND you can earn it yourself. I like the slots just for the excitement of what i got, if its good, but i dont like how every single thing is randomised other than level achieved emblems.
When I played Reach those daily challenges were practically a job for me....I would get home from school every single day and hop on for an hour or two AT LEAST to get those challenges, me and my friends used to grind the shit out of those.

the req systems half the reason i didnt get the game lol
+LeafyHotDog what's the other half?
+The Act Man well the lack of split screen, the main story not having us play as master chief 100% of the time as well as forcing us to have ai companions with us the whole time, and Locke and Master Chief never really fighting also stung , still not being able to spawn ai into forge mode, still not adding playable elites back, and how long its taken game types like infection, something they made such a huge deal about for halo 4, only recently being added to the game.
LeafyHotDog And my list would go on and on to add onto yours :P
Halo has definitely seen better days.
@@Wolffanghurricane not really two halfs when one is so stacked like that 🤣

holy moly Act man. those ideas are such a simple idea, but never thought of from any other vids ive seen. they really shouldve added them. weapon/vehicle/armour packs would of been sweet
+StingyOO7 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video and my ideas :)
I love you Act man, and somehow (I totally did not pause the video at a particular place or something) I know that part 2 is gonna be awesome too

Actually I got the DMR when Warzone Firefight launched xD
And I was level 45
Pure random!
Yea the card game would more or less be tied into the req cards so that the whole system comes together both in Halo 5, and in the outside world!
Funny how I used that pic in my video to show off collectors and you happened to watch it all the way through and see it XD
I'd definitely start collecting Halo cards too! I mean, Microsoft can pretty much hire as many people as they want to work on the card game, and since they already have so many Microsoft stores around the country, they could easily create it and makes loads emone
Some Req System Tweaks
All armour/weapon skins can be obtained from req packs.
Armour skins should be organised like Halo Reach's modifications.
To get basic armour sets, level up or open commendation req packs.
Holding X will pop up a menu with the option to sell 20, 10 and 5 req cards.
To get mythic armour sets you will need to complete some achievements.
My Ideas for Achievements
Mythic Armour Sets
John: finish solo legendary campaign
Locke: coop legendary campaign
Kelly: beat all par times/scores
Tanaka: all intel/skulls/terminals
Linda: get 10 snipeltaneous medals
Fred: (maybe) 20 perfection medals
Buck: destroy 50 Warzone cores
Vale: win a game of Warzone 1000-0
Achilles: finish kills commendations
Mark IV: finish objective comm
Helioskrill: beat legendary MCC
Mark V: all enemy commendations
Mark V (B): finish all weapon comm
I know it's a massive wall of text but I wanted say something... So yeah!
+GamerVideo2308 Studio Lot of really good ideas here! Especially the MK V stuff! Although winning a Warzone game 1000-0 is probably impossible...
Well, it would make people try to destroy the core instead of farming
343 should add a req pack that replaces the voice of Palmer in warzone with main characters such as the Arbiter, Master chief, Cortana, Roland and many many more. And you can choose any one you want. Only for 1,000,000 req points or $49.99.
P.S. A secondary pack could be for arena where the announcers voice is replaced by the Arbiters for red team and the Master chiefs for blue team.
+Lycan Wehrmann Haha this is a good idea, but the price? Are you sure about that?? Or is this sarcasm?
+The Act Man Yes it's sarcasm, the real price would be either $35.99 or $39.99AUD or 1,000,000req points (was not sarcastic). A little bit pricey but it also comes with holocards and a exclusive in game item that is IMPOSSIBLE to get otherwise, this in game item is a stance where you can have three of your best buddies in the most awesome stance ever. That or something else. No sarcasm here.
Lycan Wehrmann Well 1million req points is.... a bit absurd
It isn't when you consider that only takes 2 weeks to get to 100k.
So nearly 4 months? That's still unrealistic. Funny enough they actually have that now and it's only 9.99.
Great videos man! Very underrated channel.
Thank you :)
Level 91 with no dmr or anything interesting. I just want the halo 2 battle rifle man
lol best halo critique video i have watched in a long time, i slightly agree on your opinions, i think it would be better if there was just armor req packs, assasination emblem req pack, and vehicles/weapon req pack. Really fun vid to watch and i can tell u put alot of work on it!
+IndianBaller Thanks man! Glad you liked it so much. These videos do take some time to put together :P
Damn act man, how is your channel not bigger? You are going to be big soon, remember me when you hit 1 million subs.
+Oscar Arias Haha! We'll get there, Oscar! With enough sweat, determination, and luck, there's no telling how big this channel could get!
The Act Man 150k is not bad at all!
honestly I really miss the high level of customization reach had.
+Jedi Spartan 127 Yea man! At least in Halo 4 there was something at the end of the tunnel!
My level 100 pack was worse than my level 90 pack. 👏👏 343
+Maverick The Cow this will be addressed in Part 2...
What do y'all think?
these are some really good ideas good job act man love your videos
I'm a level 147. and u hit the unfrigginbeliveable nail on the head!!! Spartanjedi001
+Robert Hillyard Thanks man! is that your G-Tag?
Got the freaking DMR at Lv 60, 60! Props man for making this video :D
+Victor Gasior Thanks, man! Happy DMR-ing
The title is" How 343i COULD'VE Improved Halo 5's Req System"
It;s too late to implement most of these things :P But I want to let everyone know how much better it all could've been
+The Act Man Yeah man, I'm not criticising you, they're all really good ideas and that's true for all your videos! I just hope 343 take note of your channel because it's all stuff which is so easily doable for Halo 6 and really would make the game more enjoyable.
Jacorpes01 Ahh I get ya! Yea I hope they take note too!
Oops. Commented this before I got to the 2 minute mark. But I threw out some new ideas at least.
And to be honest, if they had the customization pack, I'd probably buy a shitload of them xD
They have a special offer that actually made me buy the 47 gold pack bundle because it was only $60. And it helped me finish my collection so I was really happy
I liked your req pack descriptions
There are two more ideas that I would like to see although I do agree with everything you said.
refill req pack. if you are going though your reqs you can spend coin's on reqs you already have to gamble to get them again. at the cost of either triple the price or the chance that you'll spend the points and not get anything for them.
I would also like to see the certifications count as a req. in that like tighten fall you can bring say four certifications with you and use them only once that game at their normal price. With Consumable reqs being usable as long as you have the power to bring them in
coins?
I love grinding and grinding to get what I want to know I'll get it at some point, and to know I can buy more Packs with my RP and earn XP as I go. But one of my problems is the weapon skins, there is so many camos to make customization more personal, but here is how it should be:
Example: You open a gold pack, get a "Rare AR Camo pack".
Also here is my opinion on your "Customization Pack" you said it to have only customization items, but it should have 1 helmet 1 armor 1 weapon camo 1 stance 1 assassination 1 visor 1 emblem and with my idea above for the camos would really make this a successful customization pack
P.S: Tweet this to 343i for Halo 6. PLZ, and your other criticising videos for Halo 5.
xXCr33p3rPl4yZXx I agree with everything you said and... I have the same problem I have to many green camos especially for my dmr
these ideas are incredible. im amazed at how many people and dollars were put to work making and marketing this game by such gigantic companies and your ideas (which are completely legitimate and realistic) are so so much better than what they came up with.
+AMP Storm Haha thanks, AMP! And I'm just one guy who loves Halo. I see what 343 and Microsoft were trying to do, and it looks like they took the lazy route when it came to marketing and advertising and coming up with quality features.
The Act Man just one guy with a majestic voice.
***** majestic... I likes the sound of that
I know it sounds so glorious. thats what we named are H5 team "Majestic Moose".
Jesus these are some crazy good ideas. I would have loved some halo cards
I'm level 107 and I just got everything from rare down in the game. Including the latest update. It took forever and it wasn't like I was getting luck with a lot of purples and golds, I rarely got those. So the fact that it took that long to get everything from a rare down with only buying to pack with actual money is a little crazy.
My ideas:
ME3 Multiplayer had the same random packs of stuff. If I remember well they were 4. I forgot the names of the packages but were basicly blue, silver, purple and darker purple. And weapons were... Blue, silver, gold... somethign else? And the best rank weapon was N7 Same with characters
The thing is that Blue packs had 5 blue rated items, and a slight chance to get a silver.
Yea! Someone had to put it all together and saw what was on everyone's mind!
I recently went back to play reach and I did complete some challenges for campaign and firefight
"343 Should've added (add plays) "TENET"
