  • Welcome to my latest vlog...this time we're taking the front end of my Honda CB450 apart ready for restoration. Front wheel, handlebars, forks and the top/bottom triple clamp. I'm sorting out parts for powder coat, parts for polishing and parts to replace. Having previously done a light restoration on the frame I'm looking to do a more permanent, high quality job. The engine, removed last time, has already had a full nut and bolt restoration including cylinder reboring and a reconditioned crank.
Anyway, as always please don't view this as a how to. This is just the way I'm doing it!
    Thanks for watching.

I’ve been watching every one of your videos. Thank you so much for putting these together. You’ve given me guidance and confidence to teardown my ‘73 CB350F.

Hello - if you have a source for the rubber bushing at the top of the headlight brackets that slip over the fork tubes, I would be delighted indeed to find a pair for my 1969 CB450 K2. The same inquiry applies to any other hard-to-come-by rubber bushings on the 450's. Common Motors stocks a wide variety of replacement parts for Honda twins, but alas does not list these....
Too bad you had to bin the roller bearings and races in the headtube, since these had already replaced the original loose-bearing set. At least Common Motors does stock a full kit of roller bearings, races, spacers and seals for the 450 head tube.

Thanks for watching! Yes, some parts are getting incredibly hard to find. The only place that list parts like this I’ve come across is cmnsl who stock a large range of oem and nos parts for most Japanese models. Again, these are not currently available!
