I *"like"* how basically all of the "super cool punk/goth" appearing people seemed to be annoyed, or deliberately ignored the dude, but the kids and well-meaning older people felt enjoyment.
Because it's a popular style do they listen rap or k pop or pop song but look like fan of bmth XD
The people (really kids) that dress like don't really listen to punk or rock anymore. They listen to low-fi trap or "emo trap" is what they know it as. They like people lil peep or anyone with lil in their name really--lil xan, lil pump, etc. They took the look not the culture. Everything is about the look nowadays.

I'm really loving this mentality that I've seen people adapting lately. The idea that anything heavy with distorted guitars, be it punk, grunge, thrash, hard rock, whatever, can be called metal. Kind of simplifies things.

@@ajandrianjafymusic Yeah, I never liked most pop music even when I was a teen in the late 90's/early 00's, but I feel like I would rather listen to say Britney Spears over the simple bassline + autotuned crap that they pump out now. Some time ago, there was a college age girl loudly singing along to Billy Joel's "Piano Man" at an intersection which made me smile, and one of the college houses was blasting "Sweet Home Alabama" (not my favorite song, but it's miles better than the other pop crap), so there are some glimmers of hope.

There isn't a more fun, enjoyable, comradery-infused experience than that of a pop-punk gig. Nothing but love, without the need of any substance beyond the soundwaves. I love my core music, but pop-punk gigs are where it is at for a fun time.
Then again, I am 35 at this point and am more interested in getting home uninjured to be ready for work the next week than worrying about McDojo karate masters in a pit or circle.
