I love what they did with Tulin. He was an insignificant minor character in BotW, overshadowed by his father, that I barely remembered him. Now he’s a companion and a sage. I’m actually kind of proud him.
TBF Age of Calamity's DLC DID hint at a bigger Role for Tulin in this game. He did tell Revali that he would create a Technique that Surpasses Revali's Gale. Also what happened in Korok Forest in AOC was a Teaser for what happened in this Game too.
Story wise I liked the lead up to Sidon most, of all of them he seemed most like he earned being a SAGE, you know, legendary powerful and knowledgable and wise being.....but in practical use Tulin 1000000%
Too good! He kept head shotting the Construct enemies (level 4 ones) right off the platforms all the way down to the surface. And they despawn so I can't loot them. Ugh! It would be a good thing if I didn't want/need the level 4 horns. He'll be great on the ground. Can tulin come into survival shrines with me? Or, is he "removed," like all my other stuff?
There's at least 5 shrines I completed by just fusing the rocket to my shield. Since shrines don't let you take out zonai stuff, every time you see rockets on the ground make sure to fuse them to your shield.
The Wind Temple (including the massive ascension gauntlet getting up to it) is as close to a proper Zelda Dungeon as we've gotten for YEARS now, and I loved it. The best part was that the boss wasn't just a stupid blight. I did skip a couple of parts of the ascension puzzle by building blimps, though 😂 Edit: Austin liked my commet, I am honored. Edit2: There's a separate and very valid conversation to be had about boss difficulty, though I personally haven't found LoZ boss fights in general very challenging for a long time.
The boss I found out can be damaged if you accidentally fall on top of the ice and hit the weak point. You lose a lot of health and could potentially die though. I found this out after I was hit by one of the icicles launched from the back and I fell and collided with the boss. Took me by total surprise when I broke the ice upon crashing into it and damaging the weak point as I died and fell down for a game over screen. I didn’t even have any weapons out to hit it as I was falling from getting hit and losing stamina as a result.
seeing these videos has made me realize how long i’ve been a fan of your channel! you’re awesome and you’ve been my go to for help on so many games. appreciate you austin!! keep up the amazing work 😁
I finished this whole quest line yesterday the Bossfight was amazing and to be honest I feel like the big temple part was just getting up to the storm wind ark
For turbine 2, instead doing all the rewind and stuff, instead of attaching the wall piece horizontally, attach it vertically and have tulin blow a gust at the wall piece to make it turn.
Can you please do a fusing guide, for what to use and where to find the best parts to put on weapons? And also would love a depths guide, for where to find the best treasure. Great job with the guides you have so far. They’re immensely helpful.
I beat this day one and to this day, Tulin is still my favorite character at this moment I don't know why I love the guy, he's just a funny bird that knows Tailwind
The wind temple was the most fun dungeon experience I had in totk- I basically used the long route as I did not use any of the hot air balloons also when I reached the real cold area I realized I only had the default 1 piece of cold resistance with about 15 mins of cold resistance food which set up a time limit which also made it more fun for me .
Oooh, I totally missed the chest you need the two icicles for. Just completed this last night and it was fantastic. I took the long way by just gliding and using ascend, and it felt like a real trek to get to the top, and the boss fight was really fun. Thanks for the video!
This tip works in BotW too: if you want to convert your jellies, you can just drop them on a campfire, icy water, or electric fields/nodes, etc. No wand durability required. Every time I see one of these early game, I take a moment to drop a few down.
That one area where you used the floor as a "crank" to open the gate, you can turn the price flat, and use Tulin to blow it to make it spin. I think that's their "intended" strategy.
I took the long way up to the temple lol. I didn't use the balloons. Also, I absolutely LOVE Tulin. His personality is awesome, and the fact that he helps fight enemies is so cool.
Lol, I got that two-icicle chest in a different way: I did stick two icicles together, but next to each other so they'd be wide enough to stand on, then picked them up with Ultrahand and put them just under the opening for a few seconds before setting them on the floor again, standing on them, using Recall, and crouch-squeezing through the hole to get to the chest. I can't remember how I got back out, I think I just ascended through the ceiling.
I love Tulin, he is now one of my favorite characters in the Zelda universe. He had great energy and his ability is extremely helpful. Having companions is a warm welcome back to Zelda. This adds so much more story to the game and I love it.

My favorite part of these videos is you saying “and just like in BOTW, you can do this” and it’s something I have never seen done or thought about being done before
I had done most of the climb without Tulin, so when I got him, I just teleported to that shrine by the first boat. Tulin left and I couldn't find him. I even did the whole climb without him, begore looking up where he could be. So thanks a bunch!
Love your videos as I usually need a lot of game help. What are all the icons on your map? Specifically the hearts and people icons? What do they represent and do you have a video explaining where you place the markers and why. That would be great.
Okay, so just so I randomly found this out. You can get too far ahead of Tulin on the climb up and he will leave and go to the beginning of the climb for a cutscene. I made it all the way to the wind temple without him. However you can't do any of the temple without him and it won't even allow you to activate the fast travel point without him.
I used one of the big grey blocks that float in the air (not the floaty zonai slabs) and attached a bunch of fans to it to make it to the eye of the storm, and honestly thats what i like about this game
Me, who just did this quest yesterday: “yes interesting” Also I don’t think used the hot air balloons like you did so that was interesting to see! I know I tried but I only saw the one emitter fused to a shield and gave up. Just took the ascend route! 17:35 I actually fused the floor pieces to the fan to make a propeller and had Tulin gust into it! Worked like a charm. 22:48 for the arrow method, it only takes two hits if you use a fire fruit on the first arrow! Immediately breaks the ice part.
16:56 I attached the broken pieces of floor to the shaft to create a turbine and then had tulin use his wind. The opened the door and kept it open. I love how the puzzles in this game have multiple solutions!
I just completed the Wind Temple last night, I don't know what happened but I was curious of how you beat Colgera. I took him to the second phase of the fight. And I literally had one heart left. I rose up to land on one of the smaller platforms to see how I can fire an arrow into him to break the ice. And out of no where he attacked me. It happened so fast. All I know is, he left me with a quarter of a heart and his last ice broke. And he was defeated. I'm sitting there in shock. All I can think is maybe he ran into the platform and destroyed hisself or somehow after he struck me somehow my body hit the ice. Talk about luck.
You know I just like watching your video's even if I am not playing the game you are talking about. I know they are tutorials but it's also you experiencing the game

17:00 im pretty sure the design is to put that piece of floor on the gear side ways and use tulins gust to push it around
But that's what makes the series neat, the different approach at solving the same puzzles
I used one of the big grey blocks that float in the air (not the floaty zonai slabs) and attached a bunch of fans to it to make it to the eye of the storm, and honestly thats what i like about this game
Me, who just did this quest yesterday: “yes interesting”
Also I don’t think used the hot air balloons like you did so that was interesting to see!
I was a dork and built a bridge across to rito village 😂😂. It took 7 log units and was nerve-wracking to cross
When ever I get stuck Austin will always save the day ✨
16:56 I attached the broken pieces of floor to the shaft to create a turbine and then had tulin use his wind. The opened the door and kept it open.
I love how the puzzles in this game have multiple solutions!
Thanks for this ! Was helpful, please do make them for the others
Thanks! You the homie for real 💯
Thank you! I am having so much trouble getting to the top. I will try going against the wind.
Thanks for posting this. I keep dying in the boss battle. It’s so frustrating.
Just finished this recently but I’m happy to watch a guide on it to see how others solved the same puzzles
I loved this Austins videos help me out so much i hope he does the rest of them too
17:24 I attached the slab vertically and had Tulin use gust. The gate stayed open for me after. Your way works, too!
You know I just like watching your video's even if I am not playing the game you are talking about. I know they are tutorials but it's also you experiencing the game
