68 worked on cars and trucks from the late 60's till I changed professions in the 80's ...never saw a corvair motor come apart ..very interesting ...thanks
When I was ten my family went to visit some of my father’s friends. Their son, who was older than me but not old enough to drive had a red Corvair. He and I were friends until he died at 52. His family were in the car business.
Really well done video getting down to the engine. Corvairs are so important for American Automotive History. It looks as though your committed to getting it done right.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I agree, Corvairs are an awesome part of automotive history and I am really glad to be a part of it :) Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comment! Ya, I believe that was on there because it was a factory air conditioned engine where the condenser sat on top of the engine and would impede access to the oil filter bolt. Thanks for watching!
Nice tear down; I would have marked the plug wires for each cylinder; Even if your going to put new ones in. The only main concern I saw was the the handling of mice nest. These carry all types of diseases in there fecal matter; that can make you really sick; You should always wear latex gloves, & a mask when handling such matter seriously. Did You find out what year the A/C engine is out of? I'm a little late watching the video; I'm still tuning wrenches on the Silverado. Take it it easy, & be safe. Thanks for the updated video.
Thanks for the comment. I will take heed of the mouse house warning. Thanks. The A/C engine is out of a '65. Hoping to finish prepping it this week so I can start the conversion to manual trans and early model dressings. Hope your projects are going well too. Thanks for watching!
@@EndWrenchRookieThanks for the reply. I hope to be to be done with the Silverado sometime Sunday? The brakes anyway I'm going to put in a new master cylinder, & by midweek the B&M diff. cover. Thanks again.

Thank you so much. Ya, they are very unique for sure. I really enjoy working on them :) Thanks for watching!

That's cool. One thing about Corvairs is everyone has a memory of them. Thanks for watching
