Nice little town. My grandfather was born there in 1901 . The area is well known in the cigar world for being a major producer of excellent cigars with a lot of name brand growing their tobacco in the region. Economically the town is in good shape. Plenty of good looking people in the area , and yes I also consider this the real DR.

I like Santiago a lot and have always wanted to visit Moca. Now I'm convinced to visit. Other cities I want to visit are Sajoma, Mao and La Vega.
Moca is the bigger poultry , vegetable and other agricultural needs producers , thank to its black fertile soil it is one of the most fertile in the world. Espaillat is name one of the breadbasket town in the country. It's population one has one the higher percentage of European ancestry .

dont forget, punta cana is like an artificial place. maybe not even 30 years old. there is / was nothing before the tourist industrie. moca is an old rich city with many industries and agriculture. thats also why you see big houses there, if you go to the better area.

Actually, I'm staying in Salcedo (20 mns away). It took me 4 hours.
@@Roogens my country is an island as well, it's like 9 times smaller than RD in square kilometres.... I love long drives and that's partial why I want to go RD. I CANT WAIT!!!!!

Well is no only a fraction of the country like the eastern part of DR that everybody has to know which wrongfully some foreigners know also all of the the Dominican Republic north south west east coastal area mountain like beautiful constanza jarabacoa the nice rivers every where so all of people who come to the country know the real DR.

@@dianasavinon9900 es que es verdad, el valle depende de la producción tanto industrial como agrícola y servicios, no de drenar al resto del país (Santo Domingo) o del sector con la peor productividad: el turismo. Salvo Puerto Plata que es la 4ta ciudad de la región igualmente

How far driving distance from Punta Cana?
At least 5 hours . . . Moca is closer to Puerta Plata. A little less than 2 hours.
De banibo moca cual es mas adelantado ?
Moca pues está en el área metropolitana de Santiago. Baní es Sur y lamentablemente eso equivale a falta de infraestructura, servicios y miseria. Además Baní no tiene aparato productivo mientras que Moca tiene el suyo totalmente integrado con el de Santiago.
