Great video, well done!….never thought to use it to grade stone, thought it was just for soil….l tell you what….you do a great job on those driveways with that and the rolling is icing on the cake!
When we dig out for our slabs, we're left with big 2'-3' chunks of sod on the sides. I'm assuming a skidloader rototiller attachment would work better than this for turning back into plantable soil for grass seed? Your thoughts?
Yeah a tiller would break them up more for sure. Sod is best disposed of in my opinion. When I clear for a slab on a lawn I’ll peel off the sod with my grading bucket (no teeth) and dispose of it. Then dig out the topsoil and set it aside.
Typically I set the rake on the ground wheels first then curl up as I boom down until I can hear or see material engagement. Then from there I am just curling
@@VTOutdoorServices are they weld on ? I. In the uk and kind of fancy one more for fun and boys and toys would make good use of it though. Absolutely none of them here
The most thorough and beautiful looking gravel road I've seen out of dozens of RUclipss.
Great content.... Nothing like watching gravel driveway repairs!
Awesome video! I’m going to try using mine to prep soil for native prairie plantings!
Love the sound of the gravel being worked!
Love this rake and how it impacts the road..... great video!

Nope…just hum the sod, don’t waste your time.
most excellent video .. great attachment for a skid steer , are they're other models for different sizes machines ?
I’ve seen 6 footers and 7 footers for skidsteers
@@VTOutdoorServices awesome thanks !
Well done Sir….
I just purchased one. If you don't mind me asking, what/how do you charge,
We charge a flat rate for each job but that’s based on $200-$250/hr for the Harley rake and skid
Do you run the Harley in float mode or adjust it yourself as you go
Always adjust it as you go. Want to cut and fill while you move
That was a great video bud! Question, are you adjusting the cut by curling in and out or lifting and lowering the boom?
Typically I set the rake on the ground wheels first then curl up as I boom down until I can hear or see material engagement. Then from there I am just curling
@@VTOutdoorServices appreciate it!
how do you crown the road?
You angle inward and it pulls the gravel in from the sides to the middle
@@VTOutdoorServices thank you
what is flow rate needed to run it?
That one is 15
Are the teeth the same as the planer teeth ?
Theyre 3/4” or 1” carbide knobs

@@chriss7930 yes they're weld-on
Ok cool, I run cold planers and wondered if we're the same but they not. I've just ordered one. I'm sure I'll find plenty of use for it
