He should become that kind of person then. His life was forever changed by accusations that were total bullshit. It wouldn't be in any way wrong of him to sue her & would also help his overall image in the eyes of people who think he's guilty to see him win a defamation suit against her. Of course even then this will always be a blot on his name. The idea that it's unkind of him to sue her is foolish. It would be justice.
Here’s is my point. Chloe claimed to have proof. At the end of her statement. She should have released it when she accused him. She now needs to put up or shut up. He needs his shows back until that evidence is released.
Easy to claim you were black balled when you aren't getting work in the first place. A quick trip to IMDB shows she never had it going on in the first place.
Yeah....if he was that controlling, she could have just (oh i don't know) BROKE UP WITH HIM!!! I love how PC liberals preach on and on about how independent and strong-willed modern females are....but apparently these same females are also "weak victims" who are easily manipulated by "controlling" boyfriends like Chris Hardwick...LOL What a joke!!
Dykstra probably went off the deep end after Hardwick married Hearst, a mogul. He was finally happy & she apparently couldn't handle it. Just my opinion.
Not surprising. That is why they call them nerdists. Nerds don't know how to handle this type of social conflict. Nerds incorrectly assume they have social problems because they are so smart other people are envious or they don't have common interests or they have better things to think about. However, Psychologists say nerds have a poor ability to resolve social conflict and come up with alternate solutions. A poor understanding of social dynamics and picking up on social cues. They may have a high IQ in some other areas but usually have a low emotional IQ.
Boathousedave That sounds like a pretty piss poor excuse for a bunch of adults running a business to do what they did to one of their founding members and strongest driving forces when they started.
I don't think that Chris Hardwick had blacklisted Chloe Dykstra because Chris Hardwick made Chloe dykstra's career in the first place nobody knew about her until she started dating him
Jesse Hannah Not to mention there's a difference between blacklisting and giving an honest opinion on someone. Maybe she's actually a shitty unprofessional actress/presenter. She didn't exactly have a great career in the first place.
David Roberts So ignoring literally every other women defending him ay? Not just any women, literally friends AND exes of his. Yup real piece of shit when your exes are still your friend and publicly support you.
This case should really be a huge sign that this movement has entered the territory of hysteria. Chris Hardwick at most is guilty of being a bad boyfriend and yet he has lost his career over it. It should go without saying that you should not lose your career for being a bad boyfriend (or girlfriend)
It's not even about believing an accusation or not. It's about what should happen as a result. Having no recourse after an accusation is the worst part. We should both find out whether or not they are guilty, as well as determine an appropriate punishment. Not just fire EVERYBODY from their current, future, and where possible, past jobs. We need a better way to handle scandals.
saluk Not only that, if you try to defend yourself with actual evidence, people will say that is exactly what an abuser would do. Joseph Heller couldn’t come up with a better scenario.
Is his career actually actually ruined though? I know a few gigs were suspended, but it seems like most people are coming to the same conclusions as Bert and Glaser now that light has been shed on some of the details. His accusser's career is way more damaged than his at this point.
I am sorry, but to suggest Chris blackballed her from anything is laughable to me. Blackballed her from what? Sadly, I watched that cosplay show she was on. It was bad, she was bad. Before this, Chloe's greatest claim to fame was that her father created the lightsaber. That's my opinion, but I could be wrong.
Months ago she posted in Reddit and says it was her female friend who blacklisted her. In a previous Reddit post to this one, she also said that this friend was the only one who visited her in the hospital (never mentioning her mother or Chris like she does in the youtube video she posted about her hospital stay...) and saying it was this female friend who made it her life's job to blacklist her. These were about 6 months ago and 7 months ago. So her story changed according to her audience. I can't figure out what is the truth or not. "Have you ever gone through 'friendship heartbreak'? I got her repped at my agency, I was offered my dream job and took a huge paycut to get her hired on as well, and got her booked on two other jobs as well. When I realized I was in an abusive relationship, I told her I was thinking of leaving. She told me "I love you, but think of your career"- Since he was well-known, in her eyes this meant he was helping me. He wasn't. I was baffled. The day I found the nerve to finally dump him, she screamed at me for ten minutes, saying "how am I supposed to work with him now?" She took my friends out to dinner and told them really weird, untrue stuff, made it her mission to wreck me. It's a long story, but the people I loved and trusted turned their backs on me, didn't believe me, even though I'd clearly proven that I'm not a liar or shit-stirrer. It's easier to take the side of the more famous/powerful person. I feel like this has all been bubbling up in me for years, but I'm afraid I'll be ostracized again."
Cori KIDDO well let's see, AMC has pretty much disowned him. He's been replaced at their discussion panels for comicon and his show has been removed from the schedule. Yeah lost nothing at all -_-
1: how much power did or does Chris Hardwick have? He's a host of various shows, mostly on AMC..what power is that really? 2: She's a weekend cosplayer who thought she was part of his future, who he kicked to the curb a long time ago.
Yeah, he had nerdist/alpha, a big chunk of legendary entertainment, runs a bunch of standup rooms, and is connected as hell. That being said, it would be redundant to blackball her as she's pretty talentless
squishfacehoverbacon this happens a lot more than you realize but most people don’t have the resources of Chris so they’re incarcerated without ANYTHING more than a statement to remain there until trial.
This idea of "everyone deserves closure" comes from spoiled mind set so people think they are entitled to it. If you recieve closure in anything other that a story, you are lucky. I would love closure on any number of issues but grown ppl have to accept that a lot of times that is not the case. God help me, this skank needs to pay a price (LEGAL) for this attack on his livelihood.
"she wasn't allowed to drink in front of him because he'ls sober" How is that lumped in with the other allegations? It seems pretty understandable to me. If I had diabetes I Probably not want to come home to a girlfriend gorging herself on cake and ice cream. My sense of this story, and bear in mind I'm basing this on absolutely nothing., is that maybe a good chunk of this is true, but there'ls more to the story. Everyone will always tell their story in a way that paints themselves in the best light. Whether she'ls out and out lying, or lying by omission, or just not realizing you're doing damage to someone's reputation because you egnuinely think yourself a victim (real or ikmagined). What I'm not going to do is dehumanize women by assuming that they always tell the truth because they're delicate, gentle, flowers who don't have the mental fortitude to act maliciously. Women are huma beings with the same mix of bad and good that men have. Deal with it bigots.
Thank you guys so much for finally bringing up these points. A lot of the stuff is becoming ridiculous and it's so easy now to make accusations. Of course we have to believe the accuser up front, but at the same time the accused definitely need a day in court before they lose everything they worked hard for. It's just getting so excessive.
#istandwithchrishardwick Why CAN'T you come out and speak in defense. Because it isn't done. You should stand up for right. Not send secret texts. You know what ? You can say that you don't want them to hire her ever but the company makes the decision.
ryubaks never , ever ? Perhaps just use your head. It's the PC thing to jump on the bandwagon. Ugh. You just keep an open mind and see what happens. As a woman , I know women can use this sort of thing for vengeance. I always keep an open mind .
ryunaks LMFAAOOOO what the fuck world are you living in? Or rather, what Middle Eastern country are you living in? Because any civilized country knows that businesses will be trashed to the ground for discrimination. Holy shit, you must be legit in need of medication.
You could have tweeted, “Doesn’t sound like the guy I know”. The reluctance of friends to take a tiny risk like that is what allows the witch hunt to ruin people.
He is not attacking the "victim" by providing information in his own defense. The man is losing his career. He has a right to defend himself. You can say he should be the bigger person and stay quiet, meanwhile everything he has is gone. Personally, I'm disappointed he is being so quiet. His Facebook page is dead. I wish he would not hide as if he did something wrong.
I've never really found Hardwick to be "laugh out loud" funny but he was always a great host and was a fanastic geek! He loved The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Doctor Who and many many more shows and movies that I also loved. He doesn't deserve to have this happen to him and this whole thing is PROOF that MeToo is out of control.
We warned you this would how it would.... We tried telling you that accusation equals guilt is a dangerous road to go down, But nope, it all had to be this women good- men evil scenario, and here we are...
Who is the "we" who warned us? This scenario of accusations equaling guilt has been around since humanity walked the earth and has been used by many different groups against other groups. And, men have used it against others many, many times.
Mike Z So that justifies the uber liberals who supposedly hate racism and sexism to be racist and sexist, because some guys did some shit once... Sounds about right...
The Angry Dudeist It isn't ok when anybody does it. But what the hell does this have to do with racism or sexism?? Or liberal or conservative? Both libs and cons have made accusations and been accused. Why take a complex issue and try to simplify it with cons vs libs??
Mike Z The we is the men who were vilified for daring to question metoo and where it was going a year ago... And this just does break down very simply, unfortunately, because this complex topic has been reduced by those with an agenda, who don't actually care about victims or perpetrators...
the MeToo movement would have zero effect if the guys on top would have balls. all these companies firing Chris with no evidence are cowards and low lives. they are willing to get bullied easily.
What kills the first part is they fact he said you are his friend. I was interviewing someone. He came in and all we said was hi and he completely ignored us like we were nothing. So it is believable
We shouldn't lump Chris in with TJ Miller. I am a big fan of their work, but Chris has brought forward a lot of strong evidence to prove that he hasn't done anything wrong. TJ seems to have only made his situation worse.
Fiasco Films Agreed. I didn't like that comparison either. I think it brings Chris down. I would put Chris in less hot water than even Aziz at this point, let alone TJ who is a dick in other aspects of his life too which makes it easier to believe he was a dick in the bedroom. Chloe's story on the other hand doesn't even add up. Chris's exes say that's not what they experienced at all, the evidence shows Chloe lied about the breakup and omitted trying to get back together 7 months later, and she cheated on him not the other way around. It's all just too fishy. She seems like a wannabe victim.
I live in a small town in iowa and it's like that here too. Someone gets an accusation and that person is the town pariah. It's not a flaw of hollyweird but a flaw of humanity.
That article she wrote, that’s the type of shit couples fight about, especially dysfunctional ones, not shit that you share publicly. This is totally a case of a vindictive ex And fuck all the male creative Hollywood types immediately being like, “I believe Chloe!! #BelieveChloe y’all”. They’re just going with what women in that industry are saying out of fear. This vindictive shit really needs to be addressed in the Me Too movement going forward!
if you listen to the Hostfull podcasts of the Nerdist from this time you can hear that there MIGHT be more then a little something wrong with the statement from Chloe, I am not saying she is lying BUT from the context of the conversation and the reactions from Matt and Jonah, there looks to have been more then a little good cause for Hardwick to end the relationship and maybe should have sooner. I always liked Chloe and followed her after the break up but I did get kind of a vibe from how she acted and reacted to things. IMO I think this is her trying to get attention and hopefully advance her career, if I am wrong, I will admit to that, but that is my opinion.
Nikki Glaser said "Let's put that on the side whether or not he did it." What I want to know is this: what did Chloe Dykstra say he did? After reading her post, it seems like he didn't do anything illegal or too bad morally. The worst thing she accused him of was blackballing her. The emotional abuse stuff is bad, but the same kinds of things happens in at least half of all relationships.
I’m sober and it’s something I work on every day.. the audacity to think that not drinking around him was abusive is crazy to me. In fact in that case it would be abusive for her to do so. Fuck. Also, aziz ansari just did a very small theater in my town. Mother fucker was selling out stadiums. His career took a huge hit
I don’t own a business so I don’t know how damaging keeping an accused person on your staff is and waiting till they’re found innocent or guilty to then fire or keep them hired.
Funny hearing Nikki Glaser criticizing people jumping the gun on sexual abuse allegations, after she told that story on Joe Rogan's podcast where a stranger asking her and her friends for a lighter had an ulterior motive to sexually harass them.
Now you aren't even allowed to have a bad breakup any longer. All of those allegations could have different perspectives. Like if he says "i don't like it when you hang around other guys" to her means "you are not allowed any guy friends" etc. And these guys may have been exes or whatever. Two people can see things differently. Mental illness or eating disorders can also play havoc on your reality. How does she know he blackballed her? Perhaps she didn't get hired and assumed he did that. Firing someone over a bad relationship is insane.
No clue about the truth of this stuff, but the 'blackballing' when you are in a powerful position like Hardwick can essentially be done without even actively doing anything. People would simply not hire her if they thought it would insult or upset Hardwick
DewkChronic probably for the best though. Females sticking up for males during these #Metoo accusations make for actual thought and conversation. If it were all guys, they'd cry "patriarchy". That said, I'm disappointed that his (what I'd assume were his best friends) have remained quiet. Shame.
There are 3 sides to every story. In this case, it’s her’s, his, and the truth. And no one will probably ever hear the truth. It’s crazy. No one knows.
I agree with most of what everyone is saying here. I'm not saying that I don't believe the woman in any situation. But in this case (as well as Aziz's case), even assuming the accusations are true it still seems more like a scenario where the guy just needs to be taught "hey, this isn't cool and you need to do better." It's not serious enough to ruin someone's career over, they just need to be re-educated on how to properly respect people. They're not actually abusing anyone, they're just acting like an entitled dick, which is kind of understandable from someone who's been famous for a while and forgotten what it's like to be told "no."
chris is a person i trust, simple, if u followd him since years, u 'know aperson a bit', yes he is an inspiration for so many (even when he sold his company, he helped the pple who bought it), his comedian friends, have their own podcast cos of him, his text xplains more than anyth that chloe 'blabla', chloe needs help, thats for sure, in mean while, chris is going thru hell, its wonderful his wife & mom in law & family love n support him so 'and its obvious why'. its outregous that companys 'that he helped btw' just kick him out, there wasnt even anyth official etc, all he loved she is crushing... maybe he has a lawyer advising him to sue her? donno if he can do that, he is too kind
I doubt that Chris Hardwick lost his career, a few gigs yes. So many people are already saying this is a case of being a bad boyfriend at most. Hardwick is a determined and driven guy, he’s not gone and we won’t be forgotten. Enjoy your burrito
I’m getting exacerbated by this confusion over the “text messages “ being too long and still retained. It was typed on a computer and they just don’t go away over time unless deleted. How do adults not get this?
His ex girlfriend plural said he never did anything like. One of which he stated for twice as long and while he was an admitted alcoholic.. if you dint understand how alcohol matters, read a book. Hes provided texts and other material. Shes done nothing. Even though she said she had video and audio..still hasn't seen the light of day..
I'm so torn over these accusations because I don't want to call Dykstra a liar but it's so hard for me to believe what she's saying. If any of it is true how come none of the other women he has dated in the past have come out in support? Instead most of them have come out in defense of Hardwick unsurprisingly. Honestly I think Hardwick is too nuerotic and anxious for me to believe Dykstra. Hardwick doesn't have the kind of personality where he'd try to exert his will over someone.
The other ex's defending him is the part that makes it difficult for me to believe her. Typically with the kind of people that are abusive, they have a pattern of that sort of behavior. Its not like they're model boyfriends to a number of women and then go "eh, I think I'll treat this one like a piece of shit". So to have three other women come forward and say the allegations completely contradict their experiences with him raises a lot of red flags for me.
Exactly. If he were suuuuch an abuser to the extent that she claims, why was she the only one who experienced it? Abusers are abusers, they don't just try it out for one relationship. Not to mention her story doesn't match the physical/media evidence of text messages and her video blog. Sure maybe the blog was her just pretending nothing was wrong, but the texts? She just straight up lied there.
Abused women have a hard time leaving their abuser. It take a lot of suffering before the abused finally leaves. Ask any person that admits to having been abused about this. Most of the time, abuse isn’t acknowledged until way later.
Kat Sure, Stockholm Syndrome is a thing, but why is it that 3 of his exes have come out and said that's not what they experienced at all? Why was Chloe special? Abusers don't usually pick one relationship to be a total piece of shit and then are completely normal and sweet in every other relationship and aspect of their life. It doesn't add up.
I could have SWORN that chloe chick was de-credentialed. Didnt we all already conclude that she was bullshitting? Like she was retaliating from a breakup? Hardwicks life should already be heading back to 'on track.' Chris is a super cool dude and didnt deserve that shit.
Ok I'll admit I jumped on the Chloe bandwagon because a lot of what she said resonated with me on a f'd up personal level. But I gotta say everyone in the video was making exceedingly good points. At the end of the day, it really is he said she said unless someone releases some seriously damning evidence. It's true, in this day & age, we jump all over shit without really standing back & thinking about it. My apologies to Hardwick
For me the big red flag was how she described sexual abuse as him letting her know he has a high sex drive early on, and that his relationship failed from lack of sex. That is a very honest and legitimate point to make when forming a relationship its not a veiled threat its his right as a human being to want sexual intimacy he can get anywhere from the partner he's loyal to. It disgusts me how her literal consent can be spun as sexual violence. It disgusts me. Maybe I'm just a skeptic but that alone didn't make sense at all to me. She claimed she had video/audio proof she needs to fucking present it the damage is done and this guys career is fucked she should prove it it is wrong not to at this point.
She posted a vague article. He presented texts and then there's the video. She even said she had proof but she never released anything. I didn't jump to conclusions immediately but once the texts came out I immediately understood it was just an Aziz 2.0. This is fucked up for Chris and for actual victims of abuse. Making it harder for their claims to be believed. This is clearly just a bitter ex getting revenge because he got married or because of his success. Atleast you have the courage to admit you made a mistake. There are still people saying Chris is guilty, without any proof, which makes no sense because there's more proof that indicates he's innocent compared to just an article.
Yeah I just don't understand the whole thing. Obviously she went thru something bad - that pic of her being brutally underweight is terrifying. It just seems all so weird and sad.
Lisa Nicoletti I believe she was struggling with anorexia before they got together. The sad thing is I don't think she's intentionally making stuff up I think she has serious mental issues and is spinning a bad relationship as malicious intent. I mean the whole thing is whack from her own description Chris had no idea she was feeling that way as she herself said she "played along with it" and the fact all his exes for the past decade spoke up for him points to her having her own emotional/psychological issues that have probably been there before she met Chris
I just don't know man. I really don't like any of this. I watched her on Machinima stuff often and she was amazing and super cool. I simply like both her and Hardwick and I hope this shit works itself out well for everyone, but I don't know what I don't know
As someone that never really liked Hardwick, I feel like he's getting shafted. That woman's statement felt very disingenuous, like she was implying things were far worse and never went into any serious detail that he abused her. It really did read like an angry woman getting back at her ex, and when Hardwick released those texts that just proved my suspicions. This is a clear example of toxic femininity, that a woman would take the Me Too movement and use it to hard her ex who she had a bad breakup with. To all the guys out there who didn't rape or abuse anyone and made the mistake of getting with a crazy woman, SAVE YOUR TEXTS.
Apparently, if you are a (male) celebrity in a relationship, you better keep every scrap of evidence you didn't do anything wrong or you're doomed, which Hardwick already is anyway.
Chris needs to sue her for defamation.
he is too kind for that
He should become that kind of person then.
I told my ex girlfriend if she cheats on me she’ll never get a job at Dairy Queen ever again
Caleb Swanigan
Bruhh LMAO fuckin savage !! LMAO
Caleb Swanigan i wouldnt have had her in my life after the first time lol and if she was able to keep her i would have put her on toilet duty
I don’t get it
Rick Harding nothing to get really
Drake Wbbb McDonalds?
If the standard is fire anyone who was verbally and emotionally abusive then every human being will be unemployeed.
D Jay classy
Soon enough the robots will take all the jobs anyways. Then we'll be back living like cavemen!
It really doesn't help her case that her Current boyfriend was actually charged with Sexual harassment for sending Naked pictures to female co-stars
Here’s is my point. Chloe claimed to have proof. At the end of her statement. She should have released it when she accused him. She now needs to put up or shut up. He needs his shows back until that evidence is released.
She's got about as much proof and integrity in her case as Scott Brunton does against George Takei.
The burden of proof is on the accusers and we need to get back to that
Easy to claim you were black balled when you aren't getting work in the first place. A quick trip to IMDB shows she never had it going on in the first place.

Just my opinion.
Damn straight. This is why I don’t count this as a true #MeToo story. It just doesn’t fit next to the Weinstein rape stories.
One of the worst parts of this that I found disgusting was how fast the Nerdist dumped him, flat out, erased his mark on everything.

I was dating a man who was not a nice man, but happened to be well-known in a certain niche industry- I met a woman during that relationship, on a job. She knew who I was dating. After I had to have "surprise surgery", she was the only one who came to the hospital, and dropped off a present for me. I fell in love- she became my sister. I got her repped at my agency, I was offered my dream job and took a huge paycut to get her hired on as well, and got her booked on two other jobs as well.

I also found out she'd done it to 5 other women. I'm still in therapy for that dumb relationship and friendship break-up, and it was years ago."
and in the other post:
"Thank you so so much. It means a lot you took the time to write this to me. When the break up happened, my best friend at the time dumped me the same day (she implied she thought I was torpedoing hers and my careers by leaving him), turned around and told everyone really awful, untrue things about me. Unfortunately, I probably deserved some of it because I left my abuser for another guy.
She had a career long before Chris touched her.
Brannawen Ravenhart Any guesses on who she is talking about?
Really? Because I don't see much on her IMDB page before 2012.
Glad to see that we live in a time when you can lose everything you worked for in your life for being a crappy boyfriend. That's amazing.
durk diggler sarcasm?
or for having a shitty girlfriend
Juan Rivera yes that was sarcasm
He didn't lose anything at all.
She cheated on him
He started The Nerdist.
He’s had a lot of power honestly. He started a media empire and is married to William Randolph Hearst granddaughter lol.
Yeah, he had nerdist/alpha, a big chunk of legendary entertainment, runs a bunch of standup rooms, and is connected as hell. That being said, it would be redundant to blackball her as she's pretty talentless
She dumped a accusation on the net and then fled ("took a break") so that she didn't have to answer for anything. Such a scumbag move.
Man this is garbage he is getting dragged through the mud for hearsay
squishfacehoverbacon this happens a lot more than you realize but most people don’t have the resources of Chris so they’re incarcerated without ANYTHING more than a statement to remain there until trial.
Everyone document every second of your relationship from now on if you want to keep a career because it's everyone's business.
Always like Glaser, she is genuinely funny and stays true to herself.
#istandwithchrishardwick
Why CAN'T you come out and speak in defense.
I always keep an open mind .
ryubaks so all women lie about rape ?
ryunaks LMFAAOOOO what the fuck world are you living in? Or rather, what Middle Eastern country are you living in? Because any civilized country knows that businesses will be trashed to the ground for discrimination.
Holy shit, you must be legit in need of medication.
@ryubaks who is no longer hiring women ? You're full of shit. Seriously.
You could have tweeted, “Doesn’t sound like the guy I know”. The reluctance of friends to take a tiny risk like that is what allows the witch hunt to ruin people.
That or people need to realize that online outrage does not correlate to boycotts. Which I think is what happened with AMC.
Points!
Nikki's comment is perfect. I support you, but I can't come out and say so publicly. Useless.
I NEVER believed the story about Chris Hardwick!! I was behind him ALL...THE....WAY!!!!
same here christy☻
We warned you this would how it would....
We tried telling you that accusation equals guilt is a dangerous road to go down,
But nope, it all had to be this women good- men evil scenario, and here we are...
Who is the "we" who warned us? This scenario of accusations equaling guilt has been around since humanity walked the earth and has been used by many different groups against other groups. And, men have used it against others many, many times.
Mike Z
So that justifies the uber liberals who supposedly hate racism and sexism to be racist and sexist, because some guys did some shit once...
Sounds about right...
The Angry Dudeist It isn't ok when anybody does it. But what the hell does this have to do with racism or sexism?? Or liberal or conservative? Both libs and cons have made accusations and been accused. Why take a complex issue and try to simplify it with cons vs libs??
The Angry Dudeist But again, who are the "we"? I'm not sure you even know what you're talking about.
Mike Z
The we is the men who were vilified for daring to question metoo and where it was going a year ago...
And this just does break down very simply, unfortunately, because this complex topic has been reduced by those with an agenda, who don't actually care about victims or perpetrators...
He should seriously sue the FUCK out of her.
Glad you posted this vid, it’s hard to find anything on Chris’ defense,
A friend is some that fights by your side through adversary, not someone who “backs” you up from a distance
It’s crazy cause you always hear “when you read the text” but no one reads it they just need to see the headline
I believe what Carrolla was dancing around at the end was the idea that calling out perceived "beta" males produces higher SHOCK VALUE.
Glad to see level headed opinions from his peers. In Chloe's own words, you can tell she just a bitter, salty ex.
lol. nope. shes got a handler that tells her to make these abuse claims. puppet masters pulling strings. you do what you are told in hollywood
Who’s her handler?
don't forget mentally ill who still obsessed with him...
Hell hath no fury...
But she's not. She just stated some facts.
I mean did she even really have a career
John Godwin nope
Can you count Con experiences as a career if no one cares who you are?
The Nerdist podcast intros... sporadically
John Godwin She had Cosplay show that aired on the Sci-fi channel for one season....
Does a person have to have a career to not be abused>? Dafuq is your point, ya sentient nimrod?
I support the Me too movement, but this is slowly turning into the Salem Witch trials all over again.... #HARDWICKISINNOCENT
the MeToo movement would have zero effect if the guys on top would have balls. all these companies firing Chris with no evidence are cowards and low lives. they are willing to get bullied easily.
I had a problem with the accusation against Chris. I think this is really questionable and there has been no actual support to her claim.
Thanks for this video!
and people still wonder about MGTOW?
f3mh8r HiDef i dont get it. Everyone should live their own life but men n women need each other. What am i missing? What's your take on mgtow?
Chris sent her a break up essay a break up dissertation
What kills the first part is they fact he said you are his friend. I was interviewing someone. He came in and all we said was hi and he completely ignored us like we were nothing. So it is believable
We shouldn't lump Chris in with TJ Miller. I am a big fan of their work, but Chris has brought forward a lot of strong evidence to prove that he hasn't done anything wrong. TJ seems to have only made his situation worse.
Fiasco Films
Agreed.
I'm your friend, but I can't come out and say so....just as shallow as the rest of hollywierd.
I live in a small town in iowa and it's like that here too. Someone gets an accusation and that person is the town pariah. It's not a flaw of hollyweird but a flaw of humanity.
That why I have great respect for Jaimie Alexander. Not only is she defending Chris, she’s circulating a petition to get him back on his shows.
That article she wrote, that’s the type of shit couples fight about, especially dysfunctional ones, not shit that you share publicly. This is totally a case of a vindictive ex
And fuck all the male creative Hollywood types immediately being like, “I believe Chloe!! #BelieveChloe y’all”. They’re just going with what women in that industry are saying out of fear. This vindictive shit really needs to be addressed in the Me Too movement going forward!
Not just comedians, but everyone. Lots of people said stuff " I always suspected he was an asshole", "hes obsessed with celebrity"
if you listen to the Hostfull podcasts of the Nerdist from this time you can hear that there MIGHT be more then a little something wrong with the statement from Chloe, I am not saying she is lying BUT from the context of the conversation and the reactions from Matt and Jonah, there looks to have been more then a little good cause for Hardwick to end the relationship and maybe should have sooner. I always liked Chloe and followed her after the break up but I did get kind of a vibe from how she acted and reacted to things. IMO I think this is her trying to get attention and hopefully advance her career, if I am wrong, I will admit to that, but that is my opinion.
Man I loved Hostful episodes. That shit was consistently more enjoyable than episodes with guests.
For the first clip friends stick up for each other btw
I wanna marry a guy like Adam Corolla.
THANK YOU NIKKI! People need to stand up for Chris.
hard and phirm was funny
I’m sober and it’s something I work on every day.. the audacity to think that not drinking around him was abusive is crazy to me. In fact in that case it would be abusive for her to do so. Fuck. Also, aziz ansari just did a very small theater in my town. Mother fucker was selling out stadiums. His career took a huge hit
03:30 thank you. People were excited to throw people under the bus. Smh. I can definitely relate. I'm just not famous and rich.
I don’t own a business so I don’t know how damaging keeping an accused person on your staff is and waiting till they’re found innocent or guilty to then fire or keep them hired.
"Probly should've been an email." :D
Funny hearing Nikki Glaser criticizing people jumping the gun on sexual abuse allegations, after she told that story on Joe Rogan's podcast where a stranger asking her and her friends for a lighter had an ulterior motive to sexually harass them.
Chris Hardwick ✊
Now you aren't even allowed to have a bad breakup any longer. All of those allegations could have different perspectives. Like if he says "i don't like it when you hang around other guys" to her means "you are not allowed any guy friends" etc. And these guys may have been exes or whatever. Two people can see things differently. Mental illness or eating disorders can also play havoc on your reality. How does she know he blackballed her? Perhaps she didn't get hired and assumed he did that. Firing someone over a bad relationship is insane.
Comedians burn up other folks asap, but one of their own is either known guilty or not guilty.
No clue about the truth of this stuff, but the 'blackballing' when you are in a powerful position like Hardwick can essentially be done without even actively doing anything. People would simply not hire her if they thought it would insult or upset Hardwick
Nice to see men understanding an abusive relationship
Should have included Sam Tripoli spittin some fire about this
Chris didn't have a lot of male comics sticking up for him, that was sad. A few did but they were Female comics and Corolla.
DewkChronic probably for the best though. Females sticking up for males during these #Metoo accusations make for actual thought and conversation. If it were all guys, they'd cry "patriarchy". That said, I'm disappointed that his (what I'd assume were his best friends) have remained quiet. Shame.
so he loses his Lively hood? and no one apologizes about it.
It sounds like most comedians, Nikki included, are playing it safe and don’t want a sound bite of them defending somebody if other stuff comes out.
There are 3 sides to every story. In this case, it’s her’s, his, and the truth. And no one will probably ever hear the truth. It’s crazy. No one knows.
I didnt recogize Bert cause he was wearing a shirt
I agree with most of what everyone is saying here.
I'm not saying that I don't believe the woman in any situation.
But in this case (as well as Aziz's case), even assuming the accusations are true it still seems more like a scenario where the guy just needs to be taught "hey, this isn't cool and you need to do better." It's not serious enough to ruin someone's career over, they just need to be re-educated on how to properly respect people. They're not actually abusing anyone, they're just acting like an entitled dick, which is kind of understandable from someone who's been famous for a while and forgotten what it's like to be told "no."
I remember Chris from back in the day on Singled Out with Jenny McCarthy.
Damn, I didn't know Ron Howard's brother, Clint Howard had a radio show 😩 @5:53
If my friends were in charge of hiring for XYZ and my Ex that cheated on me applied for whatever it was, HE WOULD NOT BE HIRED
How is Chloe Dykstra like school on Sunday? No class!
School on Sunday fat Albert
Robert Tustin lol
I am just one person but if Chris is not hosting Talking Dead, I’ll be watching something else after Walking Dead.
chris is a person i trust, simple, if u followd him since years, u 'know aperson a bit', yes he is an inspiration for so many (even when he sold his company, he helped the pple who bought it), his comedian friends, have their own podcast cos of him, his text xplains more than anyth that chloe 'blabla', chloe needs help, thats for sure, in mean while, chris is going thru hell, its wonderful his wife & mom in law & family love n support him so 'and its obvious why'. its outregous that companys 'that he helped btw' just kick him out, there wasnt even anyth official etc, all he loved she is crushing... maybe he has a lawyer advising him to sue her? donno if he can do that, he is too kind
"Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned."
Dykstra is a liar.
This video doesn’t come up in search suggestions only in search results so if you don’t hit enter you would think the video no longer exists.
I hope Hardwick sues the entities that fired him - based on accusations alone - and wins hundreds of millions of dollars.
Biff Bifford he got rehired
I know it won't exactly repair any falsely broken reputations, but #FuckMeOrImGonnaRuinYou totally needs to be a hashtag.
that's a great insight of the question "what will i do during the holocaust or the red scare?" absolutely nothing
Dude you made it to the internet, wear some socks.
he doesnt wear pants on another video. get used to it
Ludlow Films the machine does as he pleases.
Fucking animal.
Ludlow Films it’s his house and his podcast, he can do whatever he wants.
Eric Erickson this is america, you can't just do whatever you want brah.
Honestly it’s a lose lose situation
Here is something, AMC reinstated him too.
I never bought the Chris Hardwick stuff.
Bert looks like 2018 William Shatner.
Watched @midnight and noticed how touchy hardwick is to pretty women he had on.
HOLY SHIT!!!!!! Is that Sean Astin?
Re:Carrola
Witch one?
That first chick is real cool
