Well I am glad you had fun watching it. I made months ago but was able to release it only now and it had to be the untypical 9am time. Maybe I should switch to mornings instead of afternoons? 😯😀
Thanks! Yes, all full frame lenses work on APSC cameras. The only difference is the focal length. 50mm would be more like an 80mm due to cropped sensor
Seems like your "soft" photos with the Sony are either a lens problem or below the min focus distance. My Sony 50 isn't the sharpest 50 I have, but it certainly isn't as soft as a kitten like your example photos were.
Good to know. Might be a poor copy then. Ive taken plenty of photos also in a further distance and have been disappointed with the quality. Another thing is that my AF is really bad with it, but I heard the firmware update helps
For sure better than any other 50 mm f1.8 on the market right now or at least TOP2, and better than Sony one. Sony need to update their old lenses in that case. Sony could keep their 50 mm 1.8 in peace for a while, though this lens need an update, but now they are FORCED to update that one, because they won't be sold that much when competitors don't sleep and bring twice much quality for the same price.
Sony is soooo much behind with the upgrade of their nifty fifty. Problem is, I think it’s sales results are still strong. Total beginners won’t know any other 50mm and will just buy Sony’s because its Sony… but lets see, maybe Sony will surprise us
@@TomsJurjaksagreed cuz the nifty fifty is often came along with the body as a starter lens. But yeah for 120$ used it's still have a decent quality tho 🤔
Yup and my other lenses keep up with that. Also there was a loooong moment when the dog was just laying down, chilling and the lens was not able to focus on his eye for good 30 seconds. Im sorry but thats not normal.

@@TomsJurjaks Both is fine, I was just taken by surprise when it came out in the morning 😅
Interesting video! would this work on an APSC like the a6400?

Very honest review

Would you recommend this lens for the ZV-E10?
I would not. This is a full frame lens. I would rather suggest the Sigma 56mm f1.4

Would you recommend it if I can get it for $135 brand new?
For that price - yeah. It will do its job
@@TomsJurjaks thank you!
Hello
What do you advise me 7artisans or Sony (50mm1.8)
Neither. Better save up a little more and get something else. Viltrox is a good budget option if you don't have enough for Sigma
What’s with the annoying, distractive finger-clicks throughout the audio track?
Not sure what you are referring to? Definitely wasn’t me snapping fingers 🫣
I believe sigma lenses are the best bang for the buck cause they are really high quality too. Nice video tho ❤❤
I agree. Sigma lenses are my absolute favorite ones. Price/performance is unmatched
Too big for 50 1.8. E mount really needs some nifty "pancake/cupcake" primes.
I agree ☝️
Bro was recording a dog running all over the living room and complained about auto focus.
Yup and my other lenses keep up with that. Also there was a loooong moment when the dog was just laying down, chilling and the lens was not able to focus on his eye for good 30 seconds. Im sorry but thats not normal.

Heh...almost as big as a Nikon...(kidding...sort of)
Man, this really is a chunky boy, especially for f1.8. Smaller lenses have been seen for sure
