    Omg thank you queen. I’m super thin & lean, and have been looking for a good pair of Levi’s but all the pairs at the thrift store are too big, and retail pairs can be pretty pricey. Thank you so much, I’ll definitely be doing this! Life saver. ❤️

    Love this tutorial! Very easy to follow. :-) I need to get a new sewing machine because mine's on the blink. Are you using a heavy duty one or a regular one? Do you use a special thread or needle? Any other tips for sewing denim?

    • @AmandaLuisaOfficial
      @AmandaLuisaOfficial  7 лет назад

      I am so glad you liked it! To be honest I have a very old heavy duty juki... however heavy duty from 8 years ago is not the same as heavy duty nowadays XD Definitely start with a new needle and you can definitely use denim thread! I just used a strong strength thread by gutterman :) I think I linked it in my description if you want to see what I am talking about!

    What's back stitching?

    • @AmandaLuisaOfficial
      @AmandaLuisaOfficial  8 лет назад +2

      TheCulio good question! There should be a lever in your machine (mine is blue and located on the right bottom side of my machine) that you can hold down and it will sew backwards for you so that you can reenforce the start/finish of your project and prevent it from unraveling after normal wear/tear.

    Why do you do it on the inner seam? Does it matter or can you do it on the outer seam?

    • @AmandaLuisaOfficial
      @AmandaLuisaOfficial  7 лет назад

      I did it on the inner seam mainly because it is a clean line to follow. Usually the outer seam has buttons or metal brackets that I didn't want to pass under my needle. It is totally up to you though! Sewing is a creative craft and should totally be unique to you! Do it however would work best for you :)

    • @AmandaLuisaOfficial

      I like to use a tension of 2 if I make two lines of stitches. If you are only doing one I recommend keeping your tension at a 1 ;)

    • @AmandaLuisaOfficial
      @AmandaLuisaOfficial  7 лет назад +6

      Alexis Hernandez I am sure you would be able to use a hot glue gun however I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The material would not stick together as well and the last thing you want is your pants falling off of you as you are walking down the street...That's my two cents! Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
