This song takes me back to 2007 when I was senior in high school, I told my father I was going on a trip to Austin TX to see the University but in reality I hoped in a plane and went to Los Angeles to meet someone I had been talking to for the past 4 months on Myspace . i was on the plane listening to this song in both spanish and english looking out the window looking down at Los Angeles , everything was new to me, never been out of texas on a plane and being with another person like me. That trip was one of my fondest memories.
People think this love song is for a person but it was originally written by a Peruvian for PERÚ, but as South Americans we can relate to longing to see our country of origin. We feel their sorrow & their happiness. We hear their cries but we also dance and celebrate together. 🇨🇴
