C.M.V. Weber: Euryanthe's Cavatina - 5 cellos

One summer night I accidentally discovered this gem of the underestimated German composer. A sweet Love Aria from the protagonist of the opera Euryanthe. The 2 cellos solo at the beginning, the soprano tender melody and the superb orchestration of Weber made me fall in love with this music and I decided to create this arrangement for 5 cello parts. The masterful instrumental combinations of the original are lost but I have tried to keep the spirit of this wonderful aria. The color effects help to follow the main melodies which are distributed among the various voices.
Una notte di estate ho scoperto casualmente questa gemma del sottovalutato compositore tedesco. Una dolce Aria d'amore della protagonista dell'opra Euryanthe. L'inizio affidato a 2 violoncelli soli, la tenera melodia del soprano e la superba orchestrazione di Weber me ne hanno fatto innamorare ed ho deciso di creare questo arrangiamento per 5 parti di violoncello. I magistrali accostamenti strumentali dell'originale sono perduti ma ho cercato di mantenere lo spirito di questa musica meravigliosa. Gli effetti di colore e bianco e nero aiutano a seguire le melodie principali che ho distribuito tra le varie voci.
