Ubisoft has never taken the time to flesh out an Assassin's storyline quite like Ezio's. From Lineage to Embers and everything in between, the Ezio trilogy is the best past of the Assassin's Creed Series.
Yes. Some people say Ezio saga is overrated but it's actually properly rated. Ubisoft never really gave anything else the same amount of effort unfortunately.
So true 🙌 I love how passionate and dedicated the people who worked on these projects were too. It comes across in the final product that they really cared about Ezio and his journey. I’m sure we could get that in Assassin’s Creed once again if Ubisoft let them.
The novels do flesh out characters, but that’s a medium the more involved fans engage with rather than casuals. Black Flag goes for a two-fer, both in Black Flag’s novelisation and the one for the movie having an account of Duncan Walpole being recruited by Templars right at the end.
@@machinegunsam1977 I definitely recommend them. Both Forsaken and Unity are journal entries by Haytham and Elise respectively, depicting their background and perspectives for the events of the games they are in. Origins has a prequel novel called Desert Oath.
I always find it amazing that you spend like an hour with Ezio's whole family before they are torn apart, yet we all remember them so vividly goes to show what great writing, wonderful acting and lots of love can do
I couldn't stop saying, "That was me doing that," especially when Giovanni was parkouring, blending in or tailing someone in the film. It resembled the game a lot.
The only major inaccuracy is Rome from brotherhood, that kind of architecture came around 100 years later, during the events of the game rome wasn't very different from florence in terms of architecture but the devs went for a later style to make thr city more recognazible and avoid showing more of the same. The Pazzi conspiracy happened inside the dome, not outside Monuments are way smaller than its original counterparts, the first game with accurate monument size was unity,in the previous games everything is scaled down, the position of the monuments is often wrong too and the baptistery of saint john in front of the dome of florence is missing Caterina sforza looks too old, she was 17 when ezio first met her When Leonardo left Florence he went to Milan, only later he went to Venice
Not just a cinematic trailer but live action or animation adding context to the story could have benefitted many games. Engaging players with the story before the game even comes out would work even better today than it did in 2009.
For a short film, it felt really captured Assassin's Creed feel well. From parkour to hiding in plain sight and combat too (with the weapons and tools and like). I really love it
This was and still is one of the best video game live action media to date. The absolute epitome of how to properly write a story without sacrificing believability and faithfulness to the source material.
I watched it back in the day, was such a good movie, the fact that it was so much like AC 1 was the best part wish we got more AC movies, great video man.
I always watch it before I start another Ezio Trilogy playthrough! I also watch Ascendance before I start Brotherhood and Embers after I'm done with Revelations! On the other hand unfortunately, I often forget about this live-action gem. I hope this upcoming Netflix series will take notes from it!
Glad you liked it, I watched this around the time I played brotherhood years ago. It's a great additive/contribution to the story and ezio trilogy. I too enjoyed it much more than the recent AC movie haha
AC2 was the peak of the AC games and always have a special place in my heart. that movie was so good and lore accurate . i never noticed the actors looked exactly like in the games until now holy cow!
They blend perfectly the game look with the live action, making it feel like a live action version of the game, not a direct history version, not a cheap 3d version. Totally understanding what one would expect for a video game adaptation
To be fair to the AC film with Aguilar, it did have a minor impact on the lore of AC. Characters and plot points from the film are mentioned in the AC Origins modern day segments via the messages, and the Heresy novel serves as a prequel of sorts as it takes place before the film's plot. I agree it didn't have a significant impact like Lineage did, but it had something.
Any time we got an assassins creed mini movie I got so hyped. Embers made me cry and this actually reinforces how incredible of a man ezio’s father was
I remember when I first bought the ezio collection having never played them before and after I had beaten all three games, AC2, Brotherhood, and Revelations, I was messing around in the home menu and saw lineage and embers and was like what the heck are these. Needless to say I was not disappointed when I watched both of them.
Hi, When a new MasterAssassin vid comes up, I immediatley whatch it! I love to hear your great voice, and narration, also love your very similar view of AC world and lore as I do. But I was very surprised to learn that you actually whatched lineage for the first time! ( I hope you have embers under your belt already ;) ) I love this short film so mutch that when I actually started to replay the whole series, while waiting for AC Red, after AC1 I started with Lineage, before jumping in to AC2. I treat it as a longer intro. Glad you liked it also, and thanks for sharing, maybe other assassin fellows will get to know and see it now! Cheers keep making them amazing AC related vids!
Thank you that means a lot! Yeah haha I've seen Embers several times. Always knew about Lineage but for some reason I never sat down and watched the whole thing, very glad I did! Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy the videos! Have a great rest of your day!
I remember watching this, and seeing it was really good, and wanting more for the story of Giovanni. Even my friend that first time watch it, said that Lineage was alot better than Madame Web
Just watched, and damn it was good, the view, the secret hidout, the fights, the dialogues, the outfits, and ppl who played the roles everything was chef's kiss
I loved the lineage short movie. I remember watching it after playing through ac2 back when it was released. The Ezio trilogy games just isn't complete without it. i liked Embers too but i think i've always prefered the live action and it's so cool the VA's themselves were doing the characters for this. I've always wanted to see more stuff like this but not surprised we haven't gotten anything like it since
Dude is it only me or anyone else didn't know that lineage even existed...but gotta say its pretty fire, just imagine if they cover Edward's last moment and haythems rise in the templar, its think its gonna be awesome
So, I watched AC Lineage after finishing The Ezio Trilogy, and it was late, I know, but it was still worth it. I watched it on RUclips too, and I gotta say, this film was so good that I would rank it better than the Netflix Assassin's Creed movie from 2016
I know this is random, but in ac 3, the boy in the beginning that saw Haytham kill Miko. He's one of Conors assassin's. Its Duncan i belive. You can talk to him about it, and Miko is actually his Uncle. Just a cool fact that I hope you include in your vids about ac 3 cuz the depth makes it so much better.
This movie comes with the Brotherhood version that you buy on Steam along with the Altair Codex. At least, that's how it was when I bought the game a few years back on Steam. I don't know if it has changed, though.
I enjoyed this movie as well. Pretty good film. Also you should check out the assassins creed short film video series, I think it's called assassins creed generations I think. It was focused with the break in on abstergo where the assassins tried to save Desmond Miles but unfortunately failed. Also did some experimental stuff for assassins creed fan film stuff on my other channel.
Nah if you hadnt already you arent a true fan lol And yes most of them are the voice actors and the characters are modelled after them. Except Ezio Also should be mentioned that Giovanni basically does something like "semi kill streak" in the fight scenes and judging by his fight against Rodrigo he is above pre beard/Pre Master Assassin Ezio in skill but we see in the last Sofia memory in Brotherhood that Ezio could only do the full kill streak at that point and not in the previous memories. So Assassin/beardless Ezio
please explain to me how you can tell a guy who has a youtube channel centered around AC that has been making in depth content on the games for YEARS is not a “true fan” all cuz he didn’t watch some small shorts from 2009💀 take that gatekeeping shit to twitter bruh
Given netflixs track record of royally fucking up live actions, I'm just going to pray the writers involved are ubisoft writers familiar with the lore and story of assassin's creed. Because if they're the typical writers netflix goes to, that series doesn't have a hope in hell
4:19 welllll.......i'll have u know, im doing a whole "retelling" of the assassins creed series that im calling "Assassin's Creed: Timelines". im currently playing thru odyssey for footage so when its all complete i hope u eventually come across it and enjoy it as a fellow fan of the series
Dang, I still gotta watch Assassin's Creed Ascendance. I really do hope people notice how Eatzio is more inquisitive and understanding of what his father's business was compared to AC2 where young Eatzio was just a dumb horn dog, when delivering the mail Giovanni gave him he doesn't point to and to together and constantly stupidly asking "I thought he's just a banker. While in the Lineage movie, you see Eatzio behind some carriage in the middle of night watching Giovanni kissing Maria, wearing the robes. Maybe a tell tell sign that Eatzio might seen his father leaving in the middle of the night "before" to scope out the situation on another day thinking in his head, maybe he's not a banker.
The only beef i have with Assassin's creed 2 is how f***n long it is. Like seriously it took an entire week for me to finish it. I know it takes place over 20 years but Jesus Christ 😅 And Brotherhood was as short as 2 was long. So I can assume i was far from the only one who felt that way
You talked about ac liniage Now why don't you give your opinion on Edward kenways new comic called ac lost temple its the continuation after the game ended

These short films are very neat ! The actors, environments, fight scenes and overall storytelling just work really well.
As an Italian I can say they did a pretty good job representing the Italian Renaissance 🤌🇮🇹
Italian and a time traveler it seems
So you're like 500 years old?
The only major inaccuracy is Rome from brotherhood, that kind of architecture came around 100 years later, during the events of the game rome wasn't very different from florence in terms of architecture but the devs went for a later style to make thr city more recognazible and avoid showing more of the same.

What was the black death like 😂😂

We did get more Assassin's Creed movies, and they were mid at best.
I always watch it before I start another Ezio Trilogy playthrough!

We need this back!!❤❤
I love this one. Having all the actors be the models from the game makes everything feel connected
I loved these short films they are better then the movie obviously

Peak Assasins Creed, the movie really gave you that historic feeling that the story was real and that something cool was coming up
Hi, When a new MasterAssassin vid comes up, I immediatley whatch it!

The characters are accurate because they're the VAs/Body Actors of the game.
I have just watched Assassin's Creed Lineage because of this video. Now I really want a game with Giovanni as the main character. He is badass
Just watched, and damn it was good, the view, the secret hidout, the fights, the dialogues, the outfits, and ppl who played the roles everything was chef's kiss
Best casting especially ezio one, man he has alot of potential if he ever be in a live action AC2 as young Ezio journey through his adult hood
Assassins creed lineage is incredible if only the Movie could of stuck the landing
Bro I was like 12 when I watched this I’m having a NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD- & *It’s freaking Rodrick as Ezio*
i used to have the dvd and i would watch that sm as a kid it truly set up ac 2 perfectly
Man I've seen it in highschool back in 2010. Feeling very old now
*died from denial
Need to rewatch this
It was initially released on dvd and is quite widely available via ebay etc
This is what the ac netflix series should be like, this short film is just perfect espacialy a low buget project❤
I didn't think it was great, but I appreciate that it exists
If only they made it 2 x 3 x times longer it would have ben a good movie
Once I seen this I would play AC2 during night as a kid
I would recreate Giovanni’s path on the rooftops ❤
Insane that Rodrick from Diary of a Wimpy Kid is canonically Ezio.
As long as they kept to the AC story, I would love to see AC2 turned into a TV series.
I loved the lineage short movie. I remember watching it after playing through ac2 back when it was released. assassin's creed lineage is my favorite.
Now we have Valhalla 😢😢😢
I didn't know lineage was a series of shorts, I thought it was a fan film.
I’ve seen it a few times, it’s great and this proves AC can do well with live action with let’s say more passion. I’m surprised u haven’t seen it til
Embers is nice too gives ezio a good send off
Sadly the game that it built up wasn't incredibly good
I cried. When I watched ezio pass away. I had mixed feelings but I cried none the less
We are actually getting live action and animated shows on Netflix.
Thanks for the information am going to be sleepless tonight may the father of understanding guide me
I remember when i wondered if they used the face models or the VAs when i first watched it
So, I watched AC Lineage after finishing The Ezio Trilogy, and it was late, I know, but it was still worth it. I watched it on RUclips too, and I gotta say, this film was so good that I would rank it better than the Netflix Assassin's Creed movie from 2016
Crazy those 30 minutes were better than the actual 2016 movie 😭

I love how they got the same ppl just peak
Its so funny that Rodrick fucking plays Ezio
I've never heard of AC lineage before this.
1:45 wtf that’s crazy
This movie comes with the Brotherhood version that you buy on Steam along with the Altair Codex. At least, that's how it was when I bought the game a few years back on Steam. I don't know if it has changed, though.

Lets hope bordeaux takes this chance to do the same with basim !!
3:39 Supposedly AC Film has some small impact because of Rikkin's death, but I get the idea.
Journal of a Charismatic Assassin: Ezio's Rule
Literally the best assassins creed movie
Would like to see animated shorts for the games. Sort of like the Overwatch or even Apex ones.
Nah if you hadnt already you arent a true fan lol
And yes most of them are the voice actors and the characters are modelled after them.

Guess I'm not a tru fan 🤷🏻♂️😂
Ok look it may not happen but it would make my day if Studio trigger would do a anime/Animated adaptation of ac2 no lie😅
The acting is so good. Lineage is so good. Honestly it’s just as good as the games and it’s better then embers
I watched it last year and it was amazing
How tf did you never watch it what
great, now PLEASE watch captain laserhawk. I BEG. 🥺
I’d so watch an AC anime. Like one done by Trigger or the Castlevania studio.
Roddrick is Ezio let that sink in 😂
If you want to have it on pc it is included in AC Brotherhood Deluxe Edition
Given netflixs track record of royally fucking up live actions, I'm just going to pray the writers involved are ubisoft writers familiar with the lore and story of assassin's creed. Because if they're the typical writers netflix goes to, that series doesn't have a hope in hell
I got the movie at a Walmart out of the $5 bin
The thumbnail style looks familiar...i wonder why
This movie was fire 🔥
I liked this than the 2016 assassin Creed. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Father story then you can play Ezio.
Love your video and keep up the great work you are awesome
Giovanni Auditore da Firenze
If you haven't watched AC Embers yet, you're in a for a ride lol.
its pretty nice
I wonder if Desmond watched this stuff?
Also that's fucking Jesse Rath as Federico. Weirdly though he's not in the game.
I like it very much in that time was so good
Lineage was such a nice short movie, dont know what happend withe the normal AC Movie but they really fucked it up
0:51 SPOLIERS!!! U SUN BEECH :"(
“Believe it or not, I’ve never actually seen it” who the fuck has lol…
what a good sir!
Have you watched Assassin's Creed: Ascendance yet?
Have you seen AC embers as well?
Dang, I still gotta watch Assassin's Creed Ascendance.

They best not screw it up with the Netflix series

I’ve never heard of it lol

Do the chronicles seires
It's was made by Ubisoft Quebec 🌝
