I am learning so much more about St. Louis than what little I have learned on my own, which is 1) how to get hopelessly lost, or 2) how to take my guests to the Arch. Nathan's talks have revealed a history I never knew but am greatly interested in now.

I am only 3 minutes in. I have lived in south St. Louis all my life and have learned so much already!! Thank you for taking the time to make these.

It's so quiet and green. I will definitely be telling my friends to check it out. I know I plan to. I had a friend from there. She went to Nerinx Hall. She loved it. I can see why!

I had no idea St Louis had such a rich architectural heritage. Your videos are very much appreciated, Nathan. Do you know Caleb, from “The Second Empire Strikes Back”?

St. Louis has probably lost more interesting architecture than most U.S. cities every had.

Thanks for showing all the old buildings restored and lived in. You're bringing back memories of the 1960s for me.
And I have to tell you that it's pronounced "man srd". The second vowel is not emphasized. It's a French style of roof, which allows more living space upstairs. A roof that features two slopes on each of its sides, typically with one steep slope, is a Mansard roof.

Good Question! This was filmed in the heat of the pandemic and in the 100+ degree heat of a St. Louis summer.
