This brought back some memories. Dad took us to Poland in 1966 in one of these DLR430. He was born there so we went to meet the family. Very comfortable from what I remember and it gave dad just one problem. The sump bolt came out on the way there but luckily it rested on the chassis rail! He refitted it added oil and away we went. I remember that sound. I've thought about buying one but I don't have your skills to keep it going. All the best
I enjoyed it
Back when cars were built with som style and not looking like jelly moulds ! My old dad taught me to drive in one and later i had a Victor 101 😀
I agree ,why cant they makes look more interesting.
Running nice John
Thanks Tim. Bodywork next Cheers john

Nice video, as before John! But a bit difficult to hear you with the engine and road noise! I would like to suggest trying one of those special microphones that singers wear, (like Madonna), where you see a curved wire come round their face, from the back of their head, and a little ball-shaped mike just by their mouth. This CAPTURES what someone says, and not the background noise.
Yes good comment, I noticed the poor sound when editing it,but to late do do anything then. I will be getting a mike as you say soon. Thanks john
I like your Victor fb John. If you where to sell it, how much would you want?
Sorry but enjoying it too much.If I do want to sell it ,I well let you know, Cheers John
@@johncottonclassics from Nygel Miller. I wish my eyesight was still sharp enough these days to drive. I'm missing all this!
Lovely car and even nicer part of the country to drive it in . When did they go to a standard manual? I
Hi Michael, I am not to sure, But I think the floor change came in as standard in 1963 onwards. There some great countryside in Cornwall, where I live, but the narrow lanes here can make driving Classic cars interesting. Thanks for your comments. Cheers John.
@@johncottonclassics I'd love to see a comparison with a vx 90 they are one of my favourites from the erea. But I love the look of the entire range
