- Chris and DJ break down some of the group philosophy on grip strength, how it applies to firearms and life in general. You should be trying to improve your position in life as often as possible, train for the physical reality and give yourself every possible advantage. It doesn’t have to be fancy to be effective.
This is so dope! Please don’t stop, we needed y’all overseas and now we need you guys back at home. Thank you guys for everyone.
Our politicians are our worst enemy now.
@@andrewd8420 They have been for a long, long fuckin time lol
If everyone goes home, then WW3 would start, because Russia, China, with their power hungry to wanting to gain from the world by taking over everyone lands. So won't be a good idea if "everyone". There is a reason why US military is *everywhere to prevent if anotha upcoming WW3. X3
Got turned on to these guys off the Shawn Ryan interview. Great content from these dudes!
Same here
These are the best instructional videos I've seen. Perfect presentation, gets right to it and doesn't take 30min to teach a 5min lesson. Can't wait for more.
Ive never thought about the band and tension and grip. Ive actually never even seen this talked about or in any training. INCREDIBLE piece of knowledge. Thank you guys!!
So to the point. I've worked on the technique with the bands for a week from the previous video and I'm gripping tighter instinctively and my stance has improved- NO Lie. I've forwarded the video to all of my old Army buddies and will do so with this one as well. Love your content - keep it up PLEASE
It's awesome to see, what is essentially, "sport specific" training ideas. Makes perfect sense! Goodmorning from Oregon!
Best vid on the philosophy behind the need for strong grip strength, and it doesn't just apply for shooting. From grunts to special operators grip strength is taken for granted... that it will develop as we work out...we must do better than that is what I got out of this vid. Thanks. And awesome tip on using a band.
So freaking on point. Love the bit about personal pistol stippling, I did a pretty aggressive stipple job on my Glock and it makes a huge difference for the better.
Love how DJ covers all the details that no one would ever see or talk about....keep it going bros!
The retention band over the muzzle was MIND BLOWING. I grabbed one and did it while watching the video. This is hands down one of the most LEGIT instructional teams for hard core LARPers such as myself. No fluff, straight to the point, certified by experience. THANKS GUYS.
Something to watch while the kids get ready for school!
As we speak. Kids are getting ready 😂
Things to watch while I get ready for school. Lol.
@@blknives Considering the state of our country this is probably more important than what you’re learning in school!
Same here.
Man! Doing the exact same thing lol
Sipping coffee and watching GBRS videos... Breakfast of Champions
As a civilian, I really appreciate you guys posting these types of vids for us to learn so we can better protect our loved ones. Thanks a lot!
I tried this band training for 2 weeks I definitely noticed a difference. We shoot at our local indoor range for fun and definitely made a difference. Thank you sir for the tips.
Great advice. Really dig how DJ emphasizes how important it is to step back and really “feel” the weak points in your grip with the technique shown in the video. Obsess about the details, ladies and gents.
DJ and Cole I hope you read this, i am 30 years old i served ARMY actively as an infantryman for 4 years, currently in the ARMY national gaurd now, ( because civilian life is boring so why not atleast i get to train and shoot lol ) Anyways i have alwasy had this thirst for learning and training, Runnin Guns, competing in USPSA, 3 Guns, Long Gun, Force on Force, constantly trying to get better etc.. Just fully emerged in the world of training of ours. Just want to say that thank you for fucking sharing your knowledge man. I havent learned anything new thats worth its weight shit in so long.. Saw you first on Forward Observation channel and then on the Shawn ryan podcast. Man.... the shit You and Cole have put out in the short amount of time fucking blows me away, By far The Best training I have ever seen on youtube. You are the Best in the game, you guys are going to be so successful cause you guys are the real deal... no bullshit, the best fire arm instructors on youtube... point blank fucking period. Im so fuckin happy of you man, and Cole , I really hope you guys go all fucking in with GBRS with ZERO hesitation cause you guys changed the game as soon as you hit it. Cant wait until the merch drops, all the gear, and all the future content. So grateful for you guys Stepping on the scene. [ side note ] Im banging out my 'A' License this Winter so by Spring i can Travel and Skydive , You really changed my life man. thank you
We love hearing that feedback from end users and especially veterans, thanks for your service and the support, lots of new knowledge transfer coming after the new year. Keep training and be safe getting your A License.
I really enjoy your videos and what your doing and your teaching methodology. Just went over n saw the 2 you guys did with Mike n the sig class! Amazing stuff man! Thank you guys for the knowledge transfer and your service!
Awesome! Thank you!
Knowledge from dj is wisdom especially after you learn where he's been and willing to go.... 🤙🏽
@DJ…….Powerful and informative video. I have added this to my training regiment. Great video fellas.
Keep doing what you do. This is part of my toolbox now.
Grip exercises for climbers are also a great addition to build a very good grip. When I was IN I always used to carry a grip trainer rubber in my pocket and do set anytime I got the chance. Also Very nice to see your face on more and more videos DJ ! Stay awesome brother !
Thank you for the quick super practical effective technique vids. Incredible! Legend!
Outstanding class as always. Thanks, DJ!
That interview with Shawn Ryan blew my fucking mind dude for real
Thank you for constantly dropping golden nuggets for us to pick up! The knowledge transfer is truly appreciated. Do y'all plan on dropping a, "training with your weapons light," video (AR/pistol)? Going through ADs and why a button cap is best for most scenarios? Thank you, team, in advance! Keep moving forward 🙏
Guys, this is so good. Please keep ‘em coming!
Wow . . . Excellent exercise.
Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from Budapest /Hungary 🇭🇺
Great content and relevant knowledge, another tool in the toolbox. Thanks, bromigos. Keep it going!
Thank you for all you do and all you’ve overcome man.
Implementation commences in the morning. My Rogue bands now have another use. Thanks for this knowledge to help us civilians. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Here because of fieldcraft, loving your content, learn something new in every vid
Love it my brothers I'll watch every one when I feel the guys are knowledgeable I never made tier 1 but I love to learn from yall fuck yeah!
This is truly great information and content to take into practice
Wow!!! A big thanks, makes a hell of a lot sense! I will use this for sure with my hands getting older !!! Can’t stop time and injuries! This will help!
Wow! This is so simple yet amazing. I will put this in my practice routine.
Coming over from Glover. Loved the two colab vids you did on the SIG/instinctive shooting. Subd. D😎🇺🇸PDX
Thanks guys! Nothing like training from the best-of-the-best Tier 1 brothers! Fight On!
I’ve practiced proper grip for recoil management in USPSA but never to keep someone from ripping the pistol out of my hand. Good stuff, got me thinking.
FWIW - I use Metolius rock rings along with farmers carries for grip workouts. The rock rings add a bit of spice to my workout routine and the 2 finger pockets are fking hard. Lots of dudes in USPSA use the Captains of Crush
Thank you. Bless you. Strength and Honor.
Good stuff thanks guys. I first noticed how important grip was when doing pull-ups, I started noticing my grip gave out before anything else did and it was prohibiting me from getting the full benefit of pull-ups
It's a great day to be alive when you wake up to some gbrs! Semper rah, gents 🏴
Appreciate the new way to find the right grip/right feel. Not all are the same. One must adjust to those differences.
Having serving in the regular forces for my country, and done a tour in the same arena as DJ, with support from DJ’s contemporaries from my country, I say whole heartedly that he is a cut above. The way he moves, talks and acts makes me completely aware of his immense capability to enact violence and also his unbelievable skill in executing any task given to him. God bless the armed forces we fuck shit up
One of the most common threads I take in as I watch and learn from these guys is obsess over the minute stuff - it all adds up to make us perform
I’m a PT never thought I’d see people training with thera bands and a training pistol lmao. Next time I get a cop in the office I’m doing these exercises 😂😂
Thank you for sharing guys this is great.
I've done this but not with the band on my foot but rather attached to a pole behind me, band around me and over gun...this method though makes better sense and I'll try it. Thank you gents!
It's amazing this is free content.
Mornin gents. Great content, keep it coming!
As I get older, I find myself using squeeze grips. Definitely going to start carrying plates at gym etc.
super fkn smart. love ur guys channel. God bless America 🇺🇸
This is great info. Thanks men.
Love the video's. Keep them coming.
I need to get some of those bands to train for sure ..
Thanks Bros
Don’t know how you guys don’t have a million subs yet
Love these guys!
the way ivan denisov and valerie federenko teach kettlebell swings works grip soooo much more than how other ppl teach swings
Good thinking on the stipple.
Chris rules….nice work homie!
Best channel on RUclips
These guys are freaking 10th degree black belts grandmaster sensei’, in the discipline of Gun fighting.
Merica🇺🇸
Never thought about that. Thanks.
Very sage advice, if you have to pull a gun shoot it and don't try to scare someone with it or it could be used against you.
Outstanding educational information😎🖖
Always great info
grip strength matters with everything that means something to you in life that is why you reach for it and embrace it
no blurred face this time, great content as always
That was awesome!
A Knowledge Transfer for night vision would be dope...
I only recently found you guys, so I've been catching up. Having said that I'm really liking your videos. I love learning from tier 1 guys. Semper Fi 0331/0317.
Thank you. 🇺🇸
So important. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Hey DJ, any thoughts about hanging that band from the pull-up bar instead to simulate driving the gun with recoil and muzzle flip? Maybe start from perpendicular/straight down and then pass 90 degrees? Thanks for all the knowledge, by the way.
I can’t remember specifically but I think he had a video on tribe sk8z. I think he did left right up and down. From a bar. It was another grip video
@@davidewing9570 Thanks. I’ll definitely look into that.
Always gripped the hell out of my pistols. With the M&P 2.0 I’m getting some pretty ghastly blisters. 😎
I'm becoming addicted to this.... which is good... my last addiction was alcohol.
knowledge is power
Now this is pistol grip training!!🔥🔥
Great instruction. I'll try to factor in that my hardest grip is the puss grip you use as a demonstration how not to hold the gun.
Great content
Hey that face isn’t blurred. Awesome video
🤙🏻more awesome knowledge
Outstanding
Damn looking big af it would be cool if you made a nutrition Video Guide for the young up coming guys like me
Great video
Sports Performance + Firearm Training= Tac-Resist! I love seeing elastic resistance training being incorporated with firearms!
The only other guy I’ve seen talk about grip strength as it pertains to pistols is Mickey Schuch with CarryTrainer. He said you’re not gripping it tight enough if the grip of an empty Glock isn’t becoming malformed under the pressure.
Seems like he was on the right track there. Grip is everything
Every single cop on the street should watch this. I wish this training was available years ago during my career.
Pretty smart stuff - even if somewhat excessive for many - i'm glad to see more tools/knowledge under the global toolbelt. Coming from a Canadian, maybe my comment gets diluted down to 'wtf does he know' but anyways, very innovative, me likey
Training is never excessive.
You boys need to keep the douchbag Trudeau in check.
We call him little Hitler. That woke, chinese sympathizer is a shart in bag
Damn DJ that vascularity tho brother
Really good shit!
drove 6 hours to fail my armed security shoot... need this. My family is depending on me to get this job
Have u tried getting good
I remember the first video about grip. I was sitting there wondering if my weak hand was up to par and 5 seconds later DJ says, “I don’t have a weak hand. That’s why we train grip” and I was like damnit I’m going to the gym 😅
"You'll be that guy doing a boxing workout on the heavy bag."
...Me being that guy who does workouts on the gyms heavy bag...fml
I learned something in the first 60 seconds. Dont draw out of a reactionary window
This is great
Dude I just did shoulder surgery. This is the physical therapy I need.
@5:52 hos thumb rather than point straight like his support hand does it locks down the other thumb. Is there a school of thought on this versus both thumbs pointing at target?
Good information
HELLO FROM SPAIN.
Morning fellow warriors!!!!🇺🇸
This dude is intense!
