I get what you are saying Caitlin and I think you feel that way because Hongjoong co-produced the album if I'm not mistaken so the sound is really familiar but they are TALENTED regardless and you are right KQ is a machine when it comes to preparing a new group's debut maybe because they are a smaller company but I feel that they really take time and dedication with their trainees and artists that is what we love about them right? Anyways, I love Xikers!
i actually think thats one of the cool differences between xikers and ateez. they are so in ur face all the time with every song, where ateez do like to be softer and calmer and more vocally heavy whereas xikers are more rap heavy. we know hongjoong enjoys alt/pop punk/rock and i love that he pulls that thru using xikers. ateez have done rock songs, but they havent strayed into the pop punky sorta side thats been on trend (think like mgk) because thats just not really their sound anymore, those arent really ateez’s colors anymore and have matured past it. if people want to compare, i think they should compare at least ateez’s debut and xiker’s debuts together. its very obvious from looking at them that way, that theyre using similar techniques and styles in production but incredibly different in the tone and direction they are setting for each group.
you definitely need to check out their album!! and yes, their storyline has to be with goblins and the blue thing is related to a korean story where it represents the goblins. thank you for reacting to them
