Great video. I'm glad you enjoyed these more than your last reviewed shoes. I got your dig near the end - "these shoes might suit a bigger, heavier runner" 😉 😀 "Bouncey AF" 😂😂😂
These are beautiful shoes ! When I was finally going to get the Magnify Nitro 2 at a big discount , all the colors I was interested were gone ! Maybe it is a sign for me to not wait too long to try this Magnify Nitro 3 ( AKA MagMax Nitro) .
I try to get shoes as soon as they are released as there is little point reviewing them late in the cycle...but these will get cheaper and my guess is that more colours will come on stream...
IMHO it’s great news that it’s not as squishy as the Nimbus 25, which I found totally saps my energy when I’m extremely tired , especially after about 18-20km when they start bottoming out… I only use them for short recovery runs for which they are perfect !! THESE look far more interesting for ultra training long runs BUT I’m a little suspicious of the energy return !! I bought the Nitro Run XX women’s shoe a year or 2 ago which I found to be one of the most comfy with the best outsole ever with its Pumagrip and tiny little lugs BUT, the energy return left a LOT to be desired and they VERY quickly lost what little they had too!!! At 600km now the lugs are wearing down also, which may seem reasonable to most but I expect more from my shoes personally !! I also have the Deviate Nitro 2 , which have a carbon plate however … it’s in my top 5 all-time favs!!!!
@@TomAnatoly I find them very comfortable. My favourite walking shoe is the Nike Infinity RN4. I have the GoreTex GTX version which are great for rainy walks.
I have not run in the SC Trainer v3. I did run two marathons in the SC Elite v4. Of the two I ran in, the max cushion plush would be the MagMax, but when you add in springy it would be the SC Elite v4. Money no object I would buy and run in the SC Elite v4. It will wear out sooner, and be less plush, but a great shoe to run in.
As it stands, the Puma's but I may have some recency bias. I prefer the upper and there is more compliance..they feel less squidgy when I run with each on different feet. I plan to do a comparison review...and will certainly get the new Invincible 4's when they get launched.
I haven't run in a stability shoe in some time. I did run in every version of the Brooks Transcend, now Glycerine GTS and I liked them. Super plush and comfortable. They may be a bit similar to the Gel Kayanos and in a rotation it is good to have something different to exercise different muscle groups. With that in mid I would look at something like the Hoka Arahi 7 which are are lighter shoe with a 5mm drop and should give a different experience...I have not run in them but I have run in a variety of other Hoka's
I haven't tried the NB's. They do look interesting. I love the SuperComp Elite V4, but it is a different shoe...I was surprised how much I like the foam in the MagMax
I tried to find out the exact definitive foam technology but there all I found was a lot of inexact descriptions on the web and Puma seem to give little information that I could find. I have asked Puma to confirm what the exact foam is that the nitrogen is infused into, will wait and see. Either way the foam really works!
Nice. Thank you.

Ha! I wasn't thinking specifically of you...but now that you mention it...
Great reviews as ever delivered in a factual and relatable way.
Cheers Brian.
8 Likes within 1hr of posting, this will be a BIG(max) shoe. Another BIG(max) value Puma shoe 🫶
I didn't know you had 8 accounts but I appreciate the effort Bartek!
@@OldManRunner they are all bots, nothing to do with me, I promise 😂
@@OldManRunner they look like a great pair of shoes. Puma = great value + quality foam!
I am glad you found good use for them. I am still not very convinced that I need Mad Max stack shoes for easy/recovery runs.
My plan is to resort to them when feeling really beat up or injured, so hopefully not very often...!

I plan to use these when the knees are beaten up...but I do like them. Pop them on and forget about them type running...
Excellent. They look great as well.
Thanks for the review .
No worries John!
What will they be like for walking only?

@@OldManRunner Thank you !
Hello bro .... Which is most max cushion plush springy puma magmax or sc trainer v3 or sc elite v4 ?????
I have not run in the SC Trainer v3. I did run two marathons in the SC Elite v4. @@OldManRunner ... But why sc elite v4 more expensive more than sc trainer v3??? The two same midsole fuel cell
The carbon plate might add a marginal cost, the rest is likely marketing...
I like these Puma Mag Max as it would help me look taller. Do you know of any model that makes me grow taller? . Greetings from Machala Ecuador 🇪🇨.
I don't know of any shoes that make you grow taller, but wearing dark colours and vertical lines on clothing may make you look taller.
So would you buy these or the invincible 3s?
As it stands, the Puma's but I may have some recency bias. I prefer the upper and there is more compliance..they feel less squidgy when I run with each on different feet. I plan to do a comparison review...and will certainly get the new Invincible 4's when they get launched.
Great review! Which stability shows would you recommend? I currently have the latest Asics Gel Kayanos but looking for another pair to rotate with.

I had to decide between the Puma MagMax and the NB More V5. I bought the NB because I think fresh foam is the better midsole.
Fresh Foam for me bottoms out at the end of 45 minute+ runs. This is in the More V3, V4 and 1080 v13. Never had that issue in a cushioned Puma shoe.
I haven't tried the NB's. They do look interesting. I love the SuperComp Elite V4, but it is a different shoe...I was surprised how much I like the foam in the MagMax
This shoe has the same foam as the deviate nitro elite 2 ,its a premium foam not a basic nitro.
Apparently, puma claims this is a PEBA blend
