Is it done for both the hands of one have tremor on both sides? Need clarity as I see this can only be done only on one side
I saw on the internet where in Israel, they used a sona gram or radio activity to cure essential tremors. There was no surgery involved. I can't locate the address. I would like to know the cost etc.Please.
I'm 24 I also have it too it annoys me when I'm playing computer games online n it causes my head to shake n also my arms 😔

Queen Xonia Not trying to sound like a know it all but I've had ET since middle school and I'm now 44. This is not a cure nor is the DBS a cure either. It's an ongoing process for the rest of your life.
As pointed out by Palmetto, it is not a cure. It is relief of some symptoms. The underlying condition continues including degeneration if that is part of the syndrome.
How long are you in the helmet and have to remain still?

I had this done in November the only thing bother me was the needles the aftermath was every now i get a little head ache

Doctors/Hospitals who offers Gamma knife and not cyberknife don't tell the patients anything about cyberknife. Since they do not have the cyberknife machine which works better and most importantly, it is non invasive. If you are considering gamma knife, my advise is to at least look up for cyberknife.
I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008.i hv essential tremors since 2017.is there no other option except this surgery?

I did the gamma knife but I’m a boxer so I get head injuries a lot so I got it again and now I need to do the gamma knife once more 😐
Why would you box again after getting it.
The point is to protect the brain.
Not keep hitting after getting a Neurological disorder.

try not worry about it. I have it 37 odd years. it progresses mostly v v v slowly. I still work etc etc etc. I'm 44 now
i have had essential tremor for about 20 yrs,its getting much worse as i get older,i had dbs which does help a little,i have tried all the medication even primidone nothing has worked,im so sad
+tony petrauskas Me too Tony. Pain in the ass alright. Try Xanax. Maybe magnesium too. Learn to live with it. It could be worse. I just watch tv :-)
