Way in a backwoods no-name town sits a union pacific locomotive. Along comes a person with a little knowledge of starting and running locomotives. Eager for some fun, the person starts the loco and plays with the controls. Suddenly the loco starts moving. Scared to get caught, the person jumps off the loco leaving it running down the tracks on its own. How far will the loco go? Will it be stopped? Will the pickup get out of the way in time? Stay tuned to find out.
Like the runaway tanker car series there was an UP locomotive left abandoned when like the tanker car those wonder for some fun they climb aboard the locomotive as they had little knowledge of how to start the locomotive let alone run it. They do figure out how to start the prime mover when they do play with the controls putting the locomotive into motion as the danger of getting caught was to have them jump out of the way making the locomotive run on its own.
Imagine this: Rail Dispatcher: "So you just parked this Train? Have you checked the Handbrakes?" Engineer: "GUSTAVTIME did it for me..." Dispatcher: "You what?" Engineer: "He said that he has to get something from the Engine anyway, so..." Dispatcher: *sighs "Here we go again..."
Uhm, is the train on idle, and going down a shallow hill, or is it on a really low power setting because it doesn't seem to be speeding up or slowing down... do SD-40s have cruise control?
Of reports locomotives and rolling stock tagged by graffiti could have those believe in the beginning of the reported abandoned UP locomotive when those likely reported the fuel tank tagged with "GUSTATIME".
Pov: your just kid walking all alone and then you see a Union Pacific loco and then start it up and then start playing with the controls until you realize you could get in very big trouble and that locos can move and you don't know about trains then you decide that you don't want to get in trouble and just jump off the train but forgot to stop the loco before you jumped of the loco but you've already jumped off the train but now it's tooooooooooo late to get back on and stop the loco then get off again and now you've caused a runaway loco
Now we have a runaway diesel locomotive. Its a snoot nose SD40 numbered #3454 and its in really bad cosmetic condition. This SD40 is on the loose. Slippery News is on this story. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
You know know what I'd like to see you do.. Have a runaway engine like this, let it get so far on its own then have it pass another engine on a siding that's waiting and you operate the second engine in attempts to not only catch it but couple to it to stop it! That would be cool to try.
This series should of ended here seeing as that thing wouldn’t of even made on to the main line with out derailing seeing as every spur track in America has a derail device to stop shit from going on the main line and causing trouble
I imagine that the people at the crossings calling 911 and they're like, there's a train with no driver in control and a runaway spotted on the main line
6:55 Dad: Hey son we are running late to school lets take a shortcut Son: Are you sure this is safe to run a Crossing Dad? Dad: Hell yes well I mean a runaway train is coming but I think I can make it Son: HOLLY CRUD AAAAAAAAAAAAAA Dad: And we are at school wasn't so bad right? Son: … (that means he is dead) Dad: *fuck...*
LOL...I didn't expect a cliffhanger here
Dude you crack me up with these LOL.

The first train to run on those tracks in years is a runaway lol
I noticed the engine isn't blowing it horn at any of the grade crossings. That's sort of dangerous...

If all this happened in real life dear god
We've been put under Gustav's wrath yet again
Comming soon to theaters near you Unstoppable 2 Union Pacific coming 2020.😉
While fun to watch in real life this cannot happen. There are safety devices on locomotives that prevent it.
