Turning CCS Projects into Blue Chip Investments: Policy Actions | Webinar

During a public webinar on February 14, 2023, the Energy Futures Initiative (EFI) launched its latest report, Turning CCS Projects in Heavy Industry into Blue Chip Financial Investments. The event featured keynote remarks from Sally Benson (White House Office of Science and Technology Policy) and EFI CEO Ernest Moniz. It also included input from other stakeholders in the carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) space: Jeff Brown (EFI Foundation), Steve Comello (EFI Foundation), Jan Sherman (Carbonvert), Bret Logue (Elysian), Jason Lanclos (Louisiana Department of Natural Resources), Michael Johnson (J.P. Morgan), and Sasha Mackler (Bipartisan Policy Center). The report outlines the investment challenges of CCS that are consistently raised by project owners, developers, and investors, and offers policy actions to overcome them.
