Here's the thing about the plot, and part of why I love this show so much: it's based on an educational game from the 70's called the Oregon Trail. It was created to teach American kids about what it was like to travel out west in the pioneer days. You often lost someone in the wagon party to a disease, and "you have died of dysentery" is what most people know as the punchline joke for this game. And Jeff... Jeff wrote an entire musical about it. It was supposed to be a lot more interactive, but they couldn't quite figure out how to do that, so in the end the audience only pick the names and who dies in the end. But yeah... there's your setting for this musical :) That and the fact that Jeff wrote this one explains why it's quite different from the other Starkid shows.
It was one of the most fought over games during indoor recess at my school in the late 90s/early 00s. Of course given the length of recess, there wasn't enough time to play the whole game. Generally people just got to the point where you could hunt and did that the entire time, usually surrounded by a group of people judging them on their catch. I didn't have the chance to really play it until we got a computer at home, but I don't think I've ever completed it. My entire party usually died before I got halfway to Oregon.

I learned you can’t listen to the soundtrack first without seeing the show because it makes even less sense. Jeff’s mind seems quite chaotic so the craziest plots he wrote the music. When the worlds at stake is one of my all time favorite songs. It definitely captures motherhood. I found Starkid through Mariah Rose Faith but it was Lauren who really got me obsessed. I could literally watch her do anything. I wish they had a recording of the dying song without the fart noises because it’s a beautiful song. You have to watch the other endings Jamie’s ending is the best. I’m glad I also follow you on Instagram because I saw you post that you did this reaction before opening RUclips.
What Mouthface and Craphole wrote on the father's tombstone was a reference to Tombstone pizza. It was a popular thing for players to do, writing pizza orders on the Tombstone. From what I have been told, the line that Grandpa sings, "when you wake up with mud on your dick." was supposed to be "blood", but Corey messed up and just went with it. That explains the reactions of the 2 kids. If you get a chance you should watch the video Starkids Unsung, which they present some songs that were cut from the various shows Jeff's original concept for Oregon Trail was VERY different and involved the character of Jack Bauer from the TV show 24. That is why Jeff was so pleased when that name was suggested for his character.
Haha! Yes, I’ve known them since like 2011, and they brought me on for TTO in New York when we took it Off-Broadway. I then sound designed and was the sound engineer for Firebringer, and I also work with the TCB, usually when shows are brought to the East Coast. I know it will sound fucked up, but Craphole trying to eat the gun is my favorite Starkid joke. Always cracks me up. And yeah, i just can't wait till you watch A Very Potter Trilogy. I love Lauren in it, but even more so i love Joey. It also has the most memorable music in my opinion. Still can't get some of the songs out of my head.
Love how you notice absolutely everything Lauren does at all times lol the obsession is a whole mood. But yeah Starkid is generally so good at background acting, when you go back and rewatch all the little things the characters do while others are in the spotlight it's so funny. Anyway loved the video as always! This one is not the Starkid show I listen to the most but it makes me crack up so much, especially Craphole xD. And I agree on Jamie, she is so talented and probably a bit underrated in my opinion.
Fun fact: The moment between the dad and the store owner when the store owner sang for When My World's At Stake Reprise was improvised! That moment happened for each so, but the store owner said something different each time.
This was the first Starkid musical that I watched I walked in on my roomates watching the musical. I had come in yo remind them about something but basically forgot what I came in for because I was so transfixed by the bizarreness of what was happening on screen. I literally walked in on the fever dream scene after the father drinks the snake poison. Anyway needless to say, I asked what the musical was and watched it later on my own.
"I'm gonna go with the son because Lauren" is the exact reasoning I use every time I watch this show 😂 I've watched all five endings but every time I rewatch the show I always go with son dies
Yay, Pog, new Episode! how were your holidays? Edit: a few comments I have: 1) fun fact, Joey is doing the fart sounds in the background, you can see it on the grandpa dies ending 2) Your reactions are hilarious and wholesome, as always 3) If I rememeber correctly it's actually based on a videogame, therefore the speedrun song
Lovely, thank you! How were yours? 1) I watched that, laughed my ass off xD 2) Thank you so much, lovely! So glad you enjoy it 3) I heard it was a board game?
@@Barbara2.0 There are actually many homages to the video game like the 3 kinds of people farmers, bankers and carpenters (the options you have in the game) or "Friends don't let friends fort the river!" and so on.
You should definitely react to Everybody’s Talking About Jaimie bc it’s amazing. It’s set in Sheffield (in England) and it tells the true story of a gay boy who wants to go to prom in drag and be a drag queen. It makes me laugh and cry every time I watch/listen to it. I really think you would enjoy it. Xxx
I have been losing my mind waiting for this!! "Less ugly"?? Never were in the first place!! It feels weirdly interactive,,,right? 3:59 Yes me tooooooo 5:08 yep.... J u s t r o l l w i t h i t 16:12 Fun fact! In this part, Joey's voice break is scripted, but he *_improvises the response for each show_* Oh yeah!! Happy New Year!!
Aw appreciate that, lovely 🥰 I had a feeling that was improvised but wasn't sure. A different response every show? That's so cool! I could never! Hahaha
Hey, if you're curious, here's a list of most of the names they used in the show, as well as which character died: talkingoregon.tumblr.com/names Also, if you like Harry Potter and you liked seeing Lauren play a little boy you should watch A Very Potter Musical.
this show really throws it back for me. that was the first time they performed outside/after uni and to make sure there wouldn't be a loss or burnout for everyone involved they performed trail to oregon and ani during the same run. that way the cast of one show could rest without the company losing ticket sales for an off night. so it definitely holds that chaotic energy way more than the later shows, yes. to be honest, i'm not sure this musical would have turned out even close to what it is if they were to put it on now. this is not me saying starkid is not the harbinger of chaos anymore, only that things seem to have mellowed out a bit
3:12 Did you know Lauren played Frodo is their parody production of Lord of The Rings? This was before AVPM, or around that time. But they only have a short foootage of it and not the whole show.
Maybe you can watch A Very Potter Musical (starkid)if you are ok with that, or the school of rock(it has the person who played Beetlejuice in the musical)
A lot of this musical’s humor and events are based on The Oregon Trail game- which a lot of Americans played whether in school as an interactive history lesson or just for fun. Playing ‘Farmer’ is hard mode with less resources and funds, and a lot of the time it ends with losing to dysentery
This is one of my fave Starkid shows and I'm glad you liked it! I wanna see you react to the other deaths tho 😁 especially Mother and Daughter! Also excuse me you are not ugly and never have been, you take my dang breath away and I'm not even joking 😊 May I recommend the AVP series? I assume you're familiar with Harry Potter, but even if you aren't, they're excellent shows and the original reason why Starkid exists in the first place, so very much must-watch 😁
First of all, you're too sweet and I blush easily, so guess what happened? Hahaha ❤ Thank you so much! I might upload my reaction to the other deaths if lots of people request it then ;) I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so I can't wait for the AVP series! It's already scheduled for this year, so stay tuned hihi
As someone who grew up playing the Oregon Trail games, it was really cool to experience this show from the (assumed) eyes of someone who wasn’t familiar with it, thank you for making this! You’ve got a new subscriber for sure love your stuff
Lol I didn’t notice it at first either. Btw, I think you need to react to Bonnie and Clyde the musical. It flopped on Broadway, but it is one of my absolute favorite shows. There’s an album, and a recording on RUclips!
This is probably my second favourite starkid show! Maybe I just thrive on chaos... But I also just adore the soundtrack (and Lauren Lopez) so that plays a pretty huge part in it
I don't know if you watched the other ends but in one of them you can see Joey doing the fart noises on his arm and it's absolutely brilliant I really like your channel, you're open minded and yet well articulate on the reasons behind your likes and dislikes it's nice !
@@Barbara2.0 Also, if you like more characters' driven stories, may I suggest that you listen to Dogfight ? (It's not about dog fighting). I am not going to spoil the story but actors wise it's with Lindsay Mendez, who was an Elphaba, and Derek Klena who was her Fiyero and was in Anastasia.
They have a tv series type thing called Little White Lie and one of the last episodes has a part where Lauren pops off. One of my favorite scenes from Starkid. Not really a musical, but I think you should react to it anyway haha.
The one thing that you have to remember is that this is based on the oregon trail game. That is why the depth isnt all there. It is more so to be relatable to those who played it.
the scenes seem a lot more relevant to the overall trail if you grew up knowing about the game and it took me so long to figure out that jeff pointing at nothing was supposed to be because General Store Guy was across the bar but they didn't have the space, so they kind of abstracted the distance between them and then got more direct when he grabbed him
It is worth saying that this show is based on a video game of a similar name most if not all of what happens are things that can happen when you play the game
Not sure if you know but it added an extra level of funny to the dying scenes for me! But joey is making the fart noises sat on a chair to the side of the stage so some part of it is improvised every time!
This was like. The first or second Starkid musical I watched lol. I had heard when the world's at stake and was waiting for... not this. You should really watch spies are forever or listen to The Mad ones (it is amazing and it will hurt)
So I saw this and I decided to check The Mad Ones out because I love Krystina Alabado and now I'm crying so thanks I guess (it was beautiful tho I loved it)
@@katherinedenny8622 the mad ones is a weird case for me I like musicals where i can get the plot through the score like next to normal, but that whole show lemme put it this way, Go Tonight is a very "complete" song with all the boxes ticked, and every other one is kind of fragmented in order to build up to it, it's like a concept musical except it actually has a strong plot but yes Sam is a Bicon with so much emotion packed in
I think this musical can feel disjointed because there are a lot of jokes and structure in it based on the board game Oregon Trail which most Americans seem to be very familiar with and most of the rest of us aren't. Like, there are a bunch of jokes that only make sense to me because I've heard Americans complain about playing Oregon Trail. :)
Gods, I've watched all of the Starkid musicals so many times, and of course I've laughed. But there really is no comparison to the sort of laughs that come about when watching with someone else and seeing them enjoy themselves and laugh too. So glad I found this channel. As for future recommendations that aren't already on the list... -Aladdin (though, I suspect that's one of the ones you're already familiar with) -Little Shop of Horrors -How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (featuring Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role, no less)
First of all, anyone who praises the gods is a friend haha I'm so so happy you're enjoying the videos, welcome to the channel! 🥳 Thanks a lot for the suggestions. Aladdin is one of my favourite Disney movies, but I don't know anything about the stage version (except for the songs, of course, unless they have any originals)
@@Barbara2.0 By my figuring, if there is a god, there's probably multiple of them. Plus, polytheism is just far more interesting. All of the classic Aladdin songs are in the Broadway version (with some extra Broadway flair, of course), plus quite a few originals. Both Aladdin and Jasmine get a bit more background/motivation and some new friends, and James Monroe Iglehart gives an absolutely stellar performance as Genie (definitely also recommend checking out the 5 Year/5 Genie Medley, and their performance of Friend Like Me at the 2014 Tony Awards)
Yay! 👏 Great video as always! I always love seeing people react to this one, especially that last bit! Honestly "are you telling me I went through all those fart noises for nothing" might be the best one I've seen, and I had to pause I laughed so hard! Fun fact: Dikrats, the family's last name, is just Starkid backwards. And it's kinda embarrassing how long it took me to realise that lol
Me pretending I didn't just find out about the Dikrats bit: oh yeah totally, I got it as soon as they said it yeah... Me in reality at this very moment: MIND: BLOWN!!!!
@@Barbara2.0 don't worry, it took me 3 years and a watch of the A Very Starkid Reunion dvd to realise it, and that just because Brian Holden mentioned it 😂
@Barbara 2.0 I think the reason it was difficult for you to follow the story of this musical is because you're not American. You need context to understand the premise of this musical. This musical is based on an old American Educational Computer Game from the late 80's/early 90's called "The Oregon Trail" that tasked the player with migrating from the original United States Colonies on the East Coast to the, at that time in history, relatively undiscovered Oregon Territory on the West Coast, travelling via what is now known as The Oregon Trail. This game was known for being fairly historically accurate and nearly impossible to beat; the most common cause of death in the game being Dysentery. Which would lead to the infamous "Death by Dysentery" Meme and the game being mostly known for people dying of Dysentery. Jeff Blim wrote this Musical as a parody of the game he played a child and an homage to the "Death by Dysentery" Meme that came out of it. Fun Fact: Jeff Blim originally wrote "The Trail To Oregon" way back when they were all in college for their "Basement Arts" Program, but decided not to use it, so it wasn't originally a musical. It was originally a play. Also, the original was WAY more "WTF." Also, also, the reason Jeff Blim took the Jack Bauer suggestion from the audience and the reason the audience member even suggested it in the first place is because in Jeff's original version of the story, the main character, to be played by Jeff himself, was, in fact, Jack Bauer from the TV Show "24." So when the audience member suggested that as a name for the Father, Jeff was like, "Well I HAVE to go with that." As an aside, I just want to say that, objectively, "When The World's At Stake" is the best song Rachel Soglin has performed with Starkid. It's SO good! And she's a phenomenal singer! I was so gutted they didn't have her sing it at the Homecoming Concert. :( In my honest opinion, Mother is Rachel Soglin's best Starkid Role to date. Anyway, I hope this helped provide some context for and understanding of the source material for this musical and, thus, the musical itself.
You should watch Spies Are Forever by Tin Can Bros. It's not by Starkid but has many Starkid members in it and Joey Richter is one of the three founding members of Tin Can Bros. The whole show is on youtube and it's just as funny as any Starkid show.
You should really listen to 'Tuck Everlasting' if you haven't already! It has beautiful philosophies though it is a tiny bit questioning in between- but definitely worth a try. The second last song is actually a ballet, I would always recommend to watch that part since there are no lyrics, but yeah
A musical I love that you should to react to is Come From Away. It’s all about this town that welcomed in 7000 passengers to their town of 9000 after 9/11 and the American airspace closed. It’s just such a powerful and beautiful show of humanity and kindness that mixes scenes that break your heart as well as others that are hysterical. (It shouldn’t work but it does and hence why it is my favourite)
I've actually seen Come from Away in London and I love the music but so many people have been asking for it lately that I might work on a reaction/review type of video soon ;)
You should listen to 35mm the musical exhibition. Its a concert musical. Based off of Photographs that a theatrical photographer took when he was dating the lyricist of the show (who is now his husband) there is no official video of the official cast of the whole show but clips of different songs and some theater companies did the full show.
Hey Barbara! New to your channel but I'm absolutely living for it right now. The only reason I haven't watched all your videos is I'm still working through some of those musicals myself, I really only got into musicals about a year ago and it's been nonstop since then. I love that you not only react to the shows but you actually have insights and opinions about them. Cheers! Edit: I totally forgot the reason I was commenting was to ask what you think about the Ratatouille Musical?
Yay welcome to the channel!!! 🥳 So nice to meet other people going through the same journey :) I actually really enjoyed the Ratatouille musical. You can see how much work they put into it and I always appreciate that. The music and casting were the highlights for me

And yeah, i just can't wait till you watch A Very Potter Trilogy. I love Lauren in it, but even more so i love Joey. It also has the most memorable music in my opinion. Still can't get some of the songs out of my head.
I've always loved how the casting in this show the family and Joey being pretty much everyone else
The solved it squad is hilarious and like how Joey was the rest Brosenthel was 90% of the cast in it, it’s not really a musical but it’s from TCB
The Solve-It Squad is amazing. Brosenthel’s roles are hilarious and the best. Especially the his proposal to himself(?)lol-
@@luuuuux_ I loved the credits where it’s just Brian Rosenthel: Everyone else
"i don't wanna sound obsessed" is such a funny way to start saying you always look at lauren in every scene
*exposed* by myself 😳 hahahaha
Tto isn’t my favourite starkid show, but Joey really shines and it’s hilarious on the first watch!
This was the first Starkid musical that I watched
I walked in on my roomates watching the musical.
"I'm gonna go with the son because Lauren" is the exact reasoning I use every time I watch this show 😂
I've watched all five endings but every time I rewatch the show I always go with son dies
Yay, Pog, new Episode! how were your holidays?
Edit: a few comments I have:
1) fun fact, Joey is doing the fart sounds in the background, you can see it on the grandpa dies ending
2) Your reactions are hilarious and wholesome, as always
3) If I rememeber correctly it's actually based on a videogame, therefore the speedrun song
Lovely, thank you! How were yours?
1) I watched that, laughed my ass off xD
2) Thank you so much, lovely! So glad you enjoy it
3) I heard it was a board game?
The videogame series came first, it started in 1971 (playable in emulators) and it sprung a lot of sequels and spinoffs, including a card game
Oh nice. Thanks!
@@Barbara2.0 Lovely as well, glad we got a couple weeks to chill after the mess that was 2020
@@Barbara2.0 There are actually many homages to the video game like the 3 kinds of people farmers, bankers and carpenters (the options you have in the game) or "Friends don't let friends fort the river!" and so on.
Xxx
It’a not starkid but it’s still great
YES!! one of the best musicals i’ve ever seen
Aaand is based on a real story
Will do! :D
I have been losing my mind waiting for this!!
"Less ugly"?? Never were in the first place!!
It feels weirdly interactive,,,right?
3:59 Yes me tooooooo
5:08 yep.... J u s t r o l l w i t h i t
16:12 Fun fact! In this part, Joey's voice break is scripted, but he *_improvises the response for each show_*
Oh yeah!! Happy New Year!!
Aw appreciate that, lovely 🥰
I had a feeling that was improvised but wasn't sure. A different response every show? That's so cool! I could never! Hahaha
This is honestly one of my fav shows upon more rewatches it has so much deep and straight up commentary on family dynamics and personal growth.
Hey, if you're curious, here's a list of most of the names they used in the show, as well as which character died: talkingoregon.tumblr.com/names
Also, if you like Harry Potter and you liked seeing Lauren play a little boy you should watch A Very Potter Musical.
Thanks for that! And AVP is already scheduled for this year, so stay tuned! ;)
@@Barbara2.0 When you do it, you might want to turn on subtitles. Otherwise it's hard to understand some things sometimes :)
@@philippschafer4969 the subtitles are the absolute best
"I think a new side of my Lauren obsession has been unlocked"
Me every time I see Anything starkid related 😅
this show really throws it back for me. that was the first time they performed outside/after uni and to make sure there wouldn't be a loss or burnout for everyone involved they performed trail to oregon and ani during the same run. that way the cast of one show could rest without the company losing ticket sales for an off night.
so it definitely holds that chaotic energy way more than the later shows, yes. to be honest, i'm not sure this musical would have turned out even close to what it is if they were to put it on now. this is not me saying starkid is not the harbinger of chaos anymore, only that things seem to have mellowed out a bit
3:12 Did you know Lauren played Frodo is their parody production of Lord of The Rings? This was before AVPM, or around that time. But they only have a short foootage of it and not the whole show.
My favorite Trail to Oregon ending is the daughter ending; it contains a nice "ends tied up" bit concerning her relationship with her mother.
My favorite death is mouthfaces, it’s the best one for the plot I think, it just closes her act with her mom so we’ll
Maybe you can watch A Very Potter Musical (starkid)if you are ok with that, or the school of rock(it has the person who played Beetlejuice in the musical)
Already scheduled for later in the year! :)
A lot of this musical’s humor and events are based on The Oregon Trail game- which a lot of Americans played whether in school as an interactive history lesson or just for fun. Playing ‘Farmer’ is hard mode with less resources and funds, and a lot of the time it ends with losing to dysentery
I'm at work but I CANNOT WAIT to get home and see her reaction to my.fave Starkid show.
This is one of my fave Starkid shows and I'm glad you liked it! I wanna see you react to the other deaths tho 😁 especially Mother and Daughter! Also excuse me you are not ugly and never have been, you take my dang breath away and I'm not even joking 😊
May I recommend the AVP series? I assume you're familiar with Harry Potter, but even if you aren't, they're excellent shows and the original reason why Starkid exists in the first place, so very much must-watch 😁
First of all, you're too sweet and I blush easily, so guess what happened? Hahaha ❤ Thank you so much!
I might upload my reaction to the other deaths if lots of people request it then ;)
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so I can't wait for the AVP series! It's already scheduled for this year, so stay tuned hihi
I feel like they had the lobster costume just sitting around, and built the entire play around having Joey come out in a lobster costume.
Now I hope that's what happened hahaha
As someone who grew up playing the Oregon Trail games, it was really cool to experience this show from the (assumed) eyes of someone who wasn’t familiar with it, thank you for making this!
You’ve got a new subscriber for sure love your stuff
Thank you, Fin! So glad you're enjoying the content 🥰 And that's right, I knew about the game but didn't have a chance to play it yet
One of my favorite things about the show is their last name being “Dikrats.” Spell it backwards...
Someone else just mentioned it and I feel so stupid right now hahaha
Lol I didn’t notice it at first either. Btw, I think you need to react to Bonnie and Clyde the musical. It flopped on Broadway, but it is one of my absolute favorite shows. There’s an album, and a recording on RUclips!
This is probably my second favourite starkid show! Maybe I just thrive on chaos... But I also just adore the soundtrack (and Lauren Lopez) so that plays a pretty huge part in it
I don't know if you watched the other ends but in one of them you can see Joey doing the fart noises on his arm and it's absolutely brilliant
I really like your channel, you're open minded and yet well articulate on the reasons behind your likes and dislikes it's nice !
Oh yeah I watched all of them. Joey really is the star of this show.
So so glad you're enjoying the content 🥰 Thank you for the kind words!
Do you want ✨ amazing vocals✨ and sexy British Joey Richter, you MUST watch Spies are Forever!!!
Coming VERY soon hehe
They have a tv series type thing called Little White Lie and one of the last episodes has a part where Lauren pops off. One of my favorite scenes from Starkid. Not really a musical, but I think you should react to it anyway haha.
Also, glad you are obsessed with Lauren as much as I am. She has my attention in every show whether or not she is the main focus
Please do "Spies are Forever" next! It's by Tin Can Bros, and involves both Joey and Lauren as well as some of the coolest staging out there.
I hope she knows Joey and Lauren are engaged cause that fact truly fills me with joy
Lots of people freak out at Slippery When Wet’s name, but it’s the name of a Bon Jovi album, so it’s not just a random sexual innuendo, lol.
The one thing that you have to remember is that this is based on the oregon trail game. That is why the depth isnt all there. It is more so to be relatable to those who played it.
the scenes seem a lot more relevant to the overall trail if you grew up knowing about the game
and it took me so long to figure out that jeff pointing at nothing was supposed to be because General Store Guy was across the bar but they didn't have the space, so they kind of abstracted the distance between them and then got more direct when he grabbed him
Love that type of info. Thank you!
Highly recommend Spies Are Forever! So good!!
It is worth saying that this show is based on a video game of a similar name
most if not all of what happens are things that can happen when you play the game
Oh my god, *please* The Mad Ones, it's devastatingly beautiful;.
So I saw this and I decided to check The Mad Ones out because I love Krystina Alabado and now I'm crying so thanks I guess (it was beautiful tho I loved it)
@@katherinedenny8622 the mad ones is a weird case for me
I like musicals where i can get the plot through the score like next to normal, but that whole show
lemme put it this way, Go Tonight is a very "complete" song with all the boxes ticked, and every other one is kind of fragmented in order to build up to it, it's like a concept musical except it actually has a strong plot
but yes Sam is a Bicon with so much emotion packed in
IMO the daughter's ending was the best one.
starkid's potter musicals are really good also starship
I think this musical can feel disjointed because there are a lot of jokes and structure in it based on the board game Oregon Trail which most Americans seem to be very familiar with and most of the rest of us aren't. Like, there are a bunch of jokes that only make sense to me because I've heard Americans complain about playing Oregon Trail. :)
I love seeing your knowledge of Starkid grow over these episodes.
Oh, Yay! Happy New Year to you, Barbara!✨
Please react to Starship! It’s like The Little Mermaid but in space
Coming soon ;)
That thumbnail is 100% accurate
Havent watched yet BUT I AM SO EXCITED! I LOVE TRAIL TO OREGON ♥
-Aladdin (though, I suspect that's one of the ones you're already familiar with)
-Little Shop of Horrors
-How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (featuring Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role, no less)
First of all, anyone who praises the gods is a friend haha
I'm so so happy you're enjoying the videos, welcome to the channel!
Super funny reaction, I'm glad you enjoyed the show, and I honestly really love the little moments of analysis you give in your videos!
Thank you! 😊
It's a parody of Oregon trail, a popular educational video game that was used in grade school in the states back in the 90s
Also, the original was WAY more "WTF." Also, also, the reason Jeff Blim took the Jack Bauer suggestion from the audience and the reason the audience member even suggested it in the first place is because in Jeff's original version of the story, the main character, to be played by Jeff himself, was, in fact, Jack Bauer from the TV Show "24." So when the audience member suggested that as a name for the Father, Jeff was like, "Well I HAVE to go with that."
As an aside, I just want to say that, objectively, "When The World's At Stake" is the best song Rachel Soglin has performed with Starkid.
This was brilliant, thank you so much!!
you have to watch the oregon trail bloopers! they’re the funniest thing ever.
that you be amazing!
Jeoy and Lauren being engaged irl is everything when u watch this now. They are sooo good 😭😭😭
I've done 2 readthroughs of this show, once as the daughter (Fireshitter) and once as both kids (Road Work Ahead and Cowboy). It was...weird
You should watch Spies Are Forever by Tin Can Bros. It's not by Starkid but has many Starkid members in it and Joey Richter is one of the three founding members of Tin Can Bros. The whole show is on youtube and it's just as funny as any Starkid show.
I CAME AS SOON AS I COULD
Angelica?
Ah yes, the show that made me just completely fall in love with Joey Richter. He's amazing in this.
You should really listen to 'Tuck Everlasting' if you haven't already! It has beautiful philosophies though it is a tiny bit questioning in between- but definitely worth a try. The second last song is actually a ballet, I would always recommend to watch that part since there are no lyrics, but yeah
I'd love to see you react to the other deaths! maybe as a bonus video?
The daughter's ending is the best ending in the show! You really should watch it
A musical I love that you should to react to is Come From Away.
🥳 So nice to meet other people going through the same journey :)
I actually really enjoyed the Ratatouille musical. You can see how much work they put into it and I always appreciate that. The music and casting were the highlights for me
You should really react to Come From Away its really uplifting and overall amazing!
TTO isnt my favourite starkid show by FAR! But it is fun and I reeally enjoyed watching this video! Happy New Year! May 2021 suck at least a little less
Dang I'm early, I only started watching you like last week
Yay welcome to the channel then!!! :D
@@Barbara2.0 oh my god a ❤️ and a reply as well?! Hiii!!! Happy to be here! I'm a big Team STARKID fan so I'm looking forward to more reaction vids! Be sure to check out Tin Can Bros' musicals! They're branched with Starkid (shares actors) and have good musicals of their own like Spies Are Forever.
Also, just in case you didn't know. A channel called The Show Must Go On! Uploads musicals for a limited time before taking them down. Its a large variety and many of them are shows I never heard about. The channel isn't bootleg or such, its official to support the actors and producers and designers who aren't able to put on a show during Covid.
Sorry for the long text 😅, I get kinda chatty. Thanks again for the ❤️!!
If you want another musical with Lauren and Joey you could check out Muzzled on RUclips. It's episodic and has Ashly Burch as the star of it. It's only 10 episodes but it's pretty fun.
I see you didn’t drink anything while watching. The whole experience of watching 5 dying scenes back to back had my head spinning because of laughter.
I was reminded by other people but Jeff really missed the opportunity of saying “take off your clothes” with Rachel playing his wife.
Never making that mistake again hahaha
And Jeff saying "take off your clothes" would've been epic! xD
once on this island and the band's visit!
Check out Toxic Avenger the musical. 5 actors with 2 actors playing dozens of characters and another has a duet with herself
You should react to Tuck Everlasting! I think it's just the cutest musical and I rarely hear anybody talking about it
They way you reacted to the fart scene is just how I reacted and Naked in a lake is by far the best song in this
Joey's voice in this tho, urgh, I'm in love.
Dude I love TTO!!
this show is a little bit less plot centered because is based on a game from the eighties i believe called Trail to Oregon too that is super bizarre
I just found your channel but I love it already! I was wondering if you're going to watch Starkid's Starship? It's really good and I would love to see your review
Welcoooooome 🥳 Yes, I will react to Starship soon :)
