Everybody has their own memories of how they played the game … here’s one of mine: I still recall playing these levels with my sister (always using Koopa Troopa and Toad respectively), and, we would drive around the level and find nice little corners (like the one at the top left of the middle part of the map pictured here - you’d have to swim out to that part) and use the item blocks to (hopefully) get items to place down in our “houses” (and, the amount of times that we got taken out by our own carefully laid Green Shell or something!). ♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎
I just like how the composer made unique songs for each style of course. He could’ve gone the cheap route and entirely used reworked music from Super Mario World, but he made mostly original cues to make each style stand out.

Donut Plains is probably one of my least favorite track themes in the game. Still, I quite like Donut Plains 2 a lot just because of the Monty Moles that you had to hop to remove them
@@icanthinkofaname3439 The racetrack's shape is entirely different. DP3 has two bridges and you need to jump at the second one. Donut Plains 1 was in DS.
