    Awesome to see Osoyoos on the channel. I have ridden there a few times and always felt the landscape was unique and a great option for riding in the interseason and winter due to the mild temps and lack of snow. Although there are clearly some passionate trailbuilders, every time I have been there I have ridden alone which has always sketched me out! Great to see the area (and builders) get some recognition.

    Good timing! I'm driving through Osoyoos on Sunday on the way to the Kootenays to ride Rossland (Whiskey!), Castlegar & Nelson. Looks like we'll need to leave early and stop to stretch our legs (and then maybe a beer at their local microbrew, which is pretty good). Immediate economic impact for the area for the sponsorship! Love these BC travel series.

      Not sure which way you're going back, but hit Merritt if you can. Incredible riding there. If you're riding Osoyoos, which we did two weeks ago, be prepared for some grunty climbing.

      @@rrolleman4879 Thanks. Ya, I've heard good things about Merritt. We won't be going through there this time, but I'll make sure to add it to the list. Thanks.

    Pulling the curtain back on a bit of a BC hidden gem. It gets overlooked lots as Lower Mainlanders drive past to get to other spots. We've shuttled twice up to the Kruger backside to ride Cowbell and Shady Lady with kids (4 and 6 the first time we were there). Good to get a better look at the rest of the riding, a few good options for dad n mom to get a kid free lap or two in.

    Rode there yesterday. Outstanding! I was seriously impressed. Met Matt working on the trails part way down. Really nice guy. We rode Tricky Bits, Skyfall & Moving Parts. I'd call it blue flow with some great optional black features. Some cool jumps in there too. Don't miss the pizza at the Sage pub after you ride (old school amazing thick pizza).

      That e-bike is a fantastic tool for us as MTB content creators. Full stop. For Hunter to have that bike to help with the weight of that big ol camera bag is a game-changer for us. There will be plenty more to come. Hopefully you’ll stick around despite using a bike that simply adds a few more watts to the riders leg power 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @IDoBlues

      I thought the whole eBike debate was put to bed in 2021. They are here. In the right scenarios for the right people they are great. Time for us to move on.

    • @BarryWalstead
      @BarryWalstead Год назад +1

      @@TheLoamRanger unfortunately I won't be then. It's been fun watching your channel grow up, but I'm here for bicycles, not motors.
      I hear your point about content creation, but that's not a good enough reason to add motorized cycles to a bicycle channel for me.
      Human powered sports are something special, and I want to keep them that way.

    • @rrolleman4879
      @rrolleman4879 Год назад

      @@BarryWalstead I used to feel the same and made sure everyone knew about it when the subject came up (kind of like when 29ers first came on the scene).
      I don't own an e-bike, but have ridden a few. You are still getting lots of exercise, it's just different. More km's/miles covered, and more core work on the way up if you push the pace. I still prefer my non e-bike though.
      I would encourage you to not paint yourself in a corner by some bike ideology.

    • @BarryWalstead
      @BarryWalstead Год назад

      Not sure how this is 'bike ideology' or even what you might mean by that.
      I don't want or need motors in the sport of bicycles. Motorcycles of all varieties exist, not sure why saying I won't engage with a channel that regularly has motorized cycles on it is 'ideology' like a bad thing.
      Why is there this attitude of 'it's inevitable' about these things? We've been sold motorcycles by bicycle makers and instead of laughing in their faces many are eating it up. I don't claim they aren't fun, I'm only saying I won't be engaging with them as bicycles.

    Riding in Canada looks amazing, but I’d never go there. I’d never pay money to a people who’s country is quickly becoming a Communist state. Sorry, I try to never mix politics with my love of riding, but every free thinking and living human has a limit.

      Ya, we Canadians have it rough. The suppression is stifling. It's why there is so much pressure at the US border to build a wall--the volume of Canadians trying to push south is hard to contain. The latest threat is thousands of people putting on disguises of retirees and attempting to get through the border in RVs saying they are heading south to escape the winters. ...but the US border patrol are starting to crack down.
