That's why I didn't feel sad when they both died, they died doing what they enjoy the most, facing death for a sweet addictive adrenaline rush. Light was a vigilante and as the first OP song lyrics imply, has a revolutionary sense of justice which is often chaotic, swift and brutal while L represents the authorities fighting to be the exclusive enforcers of violence. They both strive to be leaders of both opposite sides of the battle and take the challenge very personally. Neither of them care about the material conditions and injustices that cause crime to rise in the first place as Light only once wacked a group of degenerate shareholders of a major corporation as a distraction and wasn't that much focused on combating wage theft or imperialism, only surgically amputating the resulting symptoms of the broader issues which in turn ended wars and lowered crime rates. It also said that, when L said he only suspected Light being Kira as 1%, he actually means that he suspects them the most. He made planets livable for humans. And the future generations call him god. What light wanted was to be a god in everyone's eyes. Kligster accomplished that. You can name everyone. Lelouch, Aizen Johan, Friend (20cb) and Ayanokoji anyone Kligster might have difficulty tackling Johan or Friend but in the end he will make both of them kneel to him.
Strength: draw, because when they fought pretty equally in the headquarters. Light could smash L into the air and himself with just one punch, and L does the same with his legs. And they both launched ball in tennis with the pretty much full power at the same speed. Speed: i think L is faster. There was no particular comepte in speed between them. But L for sure has stronger legs and i feel like L will run as fast as animal and Light didn't really take sports in running asides tennis. IQ: it's a tough one, but i think Light is smarter, he is just a 18 years old student and managed to don't fall for L's tricks for so many times. Also may be a draw, but i still think Light is smarter Battle IQ: definitely L, because battle IQ grows with experience which Light has not. Idk how you can say Light had no help. Ryuk told when he was being followed, checked all the cameras in the house, and enabled light to relinquish death note. *imo* i feel like this ain't true, strength and speed could be a tie. The only reason Light wins here is because he had the Death Note. Light also tends to make mistakes by over thinking it. It also said that, when L said he only suspected Light being Kira as 1%, he actually means that he suspects them the most. Meaning that L had him from the start, he just didn't have the evidence to put him behind bars. So IQ goes to L. Manipulation can go to Light and L, because he was able to manipulate him into giving him info and stuff, almost makes me feel like manipulation should go to L, it was just shown subtly, while Light mainly used manipulation on Misa, she was inlove with him because she was blinded by revenge and other stuff, so she was oretty easy to manipulate. I also feel like Light's mental strength was weak, because once he got the Death Note he started going batshit crazy. I just think L would have won if it was written differently though. Strength: draw, because when they fought pretty equally in the headquarters. Light could smash L into the air and himself with just one punch, and L does the same with his legs. And they both launched ball in tennis with the pretty much full power at the same speed.
Speed: i think L is faster. There was no particular comepte in speed between them. But L for sure has stronger legs and i feel like L will run as fast as animal and Light didn't really take sports in running asides tennis.
IQ: it's a tough one, but i think Light is smarter, he is just a 18 years old student and managed to don't fall for L's tricks for so many times. Also may be a draw, but i still think Light is smarter
Battle IQ: definitely L, because battle IQ grows with experience which Light has not. One of huge benefits of L is his experience, he knows martial arts and i'm pretty sure has experience in battles with help of Watari. Also Light loses when he's alone without way of manipulation or escape.
