Robot didn’t technically die, they extracted his brain from his body, and put it in a tank to keep it alive. Now they use him like a supercomputer to solve problems the world faces. He can still talk though and he admits things are better that way because he feared himself and what he would do. He’s also had all of his cybernetics inhibited so he can’t remotely use drones. It brings him full circle to back when he was stuck in a tank, a fitting character ending imo.
A lotta morally questionable “heroes” have done terrible things with good intentions in the name of logic. Oliver killed criminals because putting in prison with the chance of them escaping seemed illogical, Allen risked committing genocide against humanity and betrayed Mark’s family to Thragg in order to save the universe, Dinosaurus killing millions of people by flooding Earth in order to save the rest from extinction, and Robot took over Earth to solve all the world’s problems better then the other heroes ever did.
Funny thing is, if the viltrumites were still the old ways. They wouldn’t care if one of them got kidnapped and would’ve just killed Robot from the start.

1. It was monster girl that figured out which robot Rex was. 2. Not everyone was being forced to work with Rex, Robot had simply gotten them to not oppose him. 3. Very few robots tried to follow Invincible and the fighting stopped when Rex was outside of communication range, resulting in all the robots becoming inactive. 4. Invincible didn't try to reason with Rex, Rex tried to reason with Invincible. 5. Invincible didn't kill Rex. We see him as a floating brain in the very next issue. Honestly an impressive amount of error for such a small video.

I'm pretty sure he didn't "kill him" but its debatable that he's not exactly "alive" either, they more or less put his still living brain in a jar that allow The Immortal to lead the world to a better future with Robot's knowledge and not repeat the future where The Immortal was left leading Earth in Mark's stead but over time went mad with the responsibility he had to bear with his Immortality. take this with a grain of salt it's been a few years since I completed the comic.
I literally just finished reading invincible last night. Robot didn't die and it wasn't heroes against heroes it was viltramites against heroes because he kidnapped the children of the viltramites on earth
Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I remember, Robot did conquered the Earth and Marc did left the earth with his family (Eve and his unborne child) to live on Talescria where the main base of Coalition of Planets was located and Marc joined them to work alongside Allen, where he also met Oliver and his new alien-insect girlfriend while on Earth, Nolan (who was now the emperor of the remaining Viltrumites) somewhat agreed with the methods of Rex and found them convincing enough seeing how much it really helped the Earth progress overall and became an ally to him in helping the Earth to become the perfect Utopia in Robot's image. And well the video states the events that occurred after The Coalition of Planets and The remaining Viltrumites under Nolan's command with a little help by Robot himself, fought off Thragg and his new army of Viltrumite-Thraxan hybrid children, eventually killing Thragg and imprisoning his remaining army of children after which, Robot turns on Marc again capturing the families of the heroes and the Viltrumites to force Marc to back off again like he did the last time but this time, Nolan and the Viltrumites did agreed to help him out because their families were the victims here and things turned out to be the way they did in the video. I don't remember if it's completely accurate though, so please do tell if I am wrong.
I dont understand how they got over their weakness of sound frequency to counter viltrumites to be honest, hope they explain that better when we get to that point in the show.
The more they fight (and almost being in the bridge of death) the more powerful they become, even overcoming their own natural weaknesses, and Robot didn't take in count that the Mark that was facing was not the same that when he killed Cecil. He clearly underestimated him and that was his downfall.
I would saw there are definitely bad guys. Tell me this: If you do evil, and then by some devil’s miracle get a family or someone you care about, or worse forsake the family you do greedily care about, do you really deserve them or have any say in their defense? If you’re a good man, but you’re family is held hostage and you have the power to stop whoever is behind it permanent, but they’re taken hostage. And the man responsible tells you to be worse than a slave for him, to be his monster and do the unthinkable so that your family may live. Even though you hold all the power to stop this mad cruel man right then and there, yet forfit that chance and become his monster. How can you do it? What makes the *lives* of the families you’ll be forced to torture and break any more or less worthy than yours? What makes you think you’ll be able to look your relatives or god forbid children in the eyes, or they you, after what you’ve done? Because they *will* know. What makes you think they will be able to eat or smile again *if* they do eventually become free, know the blood and smiles extinguished and traded for theirs. Death by despair is a very real thing, and like most currently unknown sickness there’s not enough blood bodies or rage that can change that cause of death. Worse, how do you know your actions won’t spark dark aspersions in your young/family, and they become/grow a monster willingly? Though death is hard and a major change, would you rather know that your family may die happily knowing the man you are and cared for, and won’t you eventually rest east knowing there in a place where no madmen of evil can ever touch them? I’m not saying it’s easy, simple as it sounds. *GOD ALMIGHTY* I am not saying it’s easy. But it’s true, and there is light at the end of it, and it’s brighter than you think. Easy leads to true loss, where winning or losing on the path that is difficult will never be in vein or forsaken. To become a slave to spare your family is noble, but to be a monster and rob the innocent of that which they cherish, is the way of a coward. And will never lead to anything worthwhile or good.
