- STEVE LOGAN:
The Bearcat assassin! Despite his height, Logan was one of the best guards of his era. He's now the second all time leading scorer in UC history only behind the #legend Oscar Robertson. One of my favorite college players of all time. He had a shot at the league, but things didn't go as planned. Find out why here. Enjoy!

Great video. Same era. Steve was a true general. We all know the NBA can be political...despite a players talent. Videos on Melvin Levit, Kenny Saterfield, and Dermar Johnson would be huge. Shh the assistant coach that help recruit all those guys probably has an interesting story. All that talent in Jordan brand uniforms with the black socks in the early 2000s had me wanting to be a Bearcat.
Facts! They were perfect
stuntedgrowth bro what about Melvin Levit aka “ the helicopter”
ever heard of john gilchrist a PG who played for the Maryland terps ?
If Kenyon Martin didn't get hurt, Huggs would've got a title. Martin, Johnson, Satterfield, Mickael, Logan and those guys were beasts.
Jamar Hunt say it twice !!! Say it three times ! Im a DePaul fan (ref the old Conf USA for are you casual fans.) hugs had an amazing run at Cincinnati!
Legendary breakdown.....I forgot about Steven Logon...He was definitely a bad dude...
Thank you lil bro. Yea man, he was a killer!
He wasn’t a bad guy he coached me for two years and had no problem
If K-Mart doesn’t break his leg they win the tournament that year. Logan, Satterrfield, K-Mart, DJ....
Good Point
No they wouldn't have... They got upset by XAVIER!! And Steve Logan is like 5'8" barefoot, when it was his show and they got an (undeserved) 1 seed, they couldn't even get to the Sweet 16 against a bipolar UCLA.
Look at the teams he was playing against. Yeah Conference USA was a great mid-major conference then, but outside of Marquette, DePaul, and Louisville, they didn't have to play anybody. We don't respect Gonzaga nowadays (or back then) for the same reason.
They had that guy mikeal too
Facts!
Scoonie penn his needs one of these
Scoonie and Michael Redd was a fool
Good call
Salem's Finest! Salem Ma
Who you get drafted to is a blessing and a curse like Randolph Childress
Huey Newton that a good one man. Not many people remembers that he played with Tim Duncan in college
j davis didn’t he also cross up Jeff McGinnis UNC in college
I think your right. Another UNC player that went to the NBA, and disappeared. I try to keep up with him when he was drafted by the trailblazers then after that he disappeared.
@@blakelip3 Bro I show that clip to my son and nephews to this day
@@alwayswilbnc wake forest not unc but he went to Detroit and sat behind Lindsay hunter and Allan Houston and Joe Dumars Dude lit up the Euroleague
Do Kenny Satterfield...that’s my cousin
Got you!
He was a monster this is when Cincinnati was a program
those Cinci teams were a problem. they had a swag to them that kind of reminded me of the old Michigan days (although, not nearly). i remember them being really scrappy for some reason. that whole squad he played on was stacked if i recall.
Lil DMX had Game😂😂.. Great video Bro I forgot about Steven Logan.. He had Game!!
Yup, Lil X lol. Mad game
Peace Good brother. Marcus Hatten ST. John’s Big East all time single season scoring leader would be a great cover. Thank you
Played against him in high school..definitely that deal
Got you fam. All day👌🏾
Shawn Brown Marcus in my Mike Jarvis Voice
Giddell Joseph Maaarcus 😂😂😂
Do Chris Porter from Auburn
You really fucked me up with that one Chris Porter was my guy back in the day..
Chris "Hot Man" Porter
That whole team was loaded.. Melvin Levitt, K Mart.. Etc... Man!!!
Crazy! K-Mart was slamming everything too
That Cincinnati team was loaded and fun to watch
@@stuntedgrowth Can you do one on Demarr Johnson??!?!? He was a dunker too!!!
stuntedgrowth and blocking everything
had Martin not tore his knee up prior to the 2000 NCAA tourney, Cincy probably would have made the FF..i think they were a #1 seed that year too
He had serious game....Do ERIC Barkley
Melvin levette was another great one to watch. Who remembers him?!!!
I just started following him a Facebook a month ago, cool guy
Played four years and never learned how to dribble.
Helicopter
I have a request on 2, if you can, a stunted growth on Ed Cota (UNC) and Randolph Childress (wake forest) 2 of the best PGs in the late 90s.
best 2 ever played the game randolph was scorer ed was blessed to make lottery picks layer Jamison carter Big Haywood and Forte a true magaican with ball (dickie V Voice)
That Boy ED COTA ? He DEFINITELY should gotten picked up. HE'S THE TRUTH ! UNC could have won it. But, The Coach (long time Asst. under The Dean who just retired) would only turn EDDY loose in the 2nd half of games. COTA still took em to The Final 4.
@@dopemoney23 No Doubt.
ed cota had the same issue as every newyork guard excellent handle , great vision.....NO JUMP SHOT!!!!!. If you aint a great athlete and you small , you better be able to shoot the ball
Please do Jimmy Jackson...Ohio State...3rd or 4th pick in the draft....journeyman
I thought he was going to be a star
TOLEDO IN THE BUILDING.
Jimmy was never a journey man. He was a starter, put up big numbers and had long career. Jim still looks like he can play. He works for NBA network always on tv
Yea jj 419
@@kevhun1 he was a journeyman because he was solid and he played for 12 teams basically a year at each stop but had he stayed with one team he would have been a star
You done keyon dooling? Or Luther head?
Not yet. Dooling was next up in college
Dooling jesus the upside he was almost russ before Russ
Dooling was my favorite underrated combo guard I used to rock out with him on NBA live 2004as my 6th man...He was more of a 2guard ,like a more athletic Jamal Crawford, explosive off of the crossover and stop and go moves aggressive defense. Nice pull up jumper and form IMO and had hops .
Majestic Mapp
Dmx was just too Fat and short PERIOD!! Now do Melvin Levett or DASEAN BUTLER!!!
Lol he do look like DMX and or a lil Jr Rider .lol Melvin levett should have made the league or atleast got a few 10day contracts ...
Ed Cota, Trajen Langdon
You should do Marcus hatten from st johns
Logan had that Jr.Rider dawg in him and alot of that poised style of play running the point guard very good shooter similar to Terrell Brandon and explosive like a young Ty Lawson .However Steve Logan had alot of polish and confidence for his under 6'0" height .I heard he was still killing in them pick up leagues in outside of Cleveland as of 5yrs ago
What about Eddy Curry or Stromile Swift
otw!
True point guard. True meaning of a north south transitional point guard. Love to watch him play.💯
What they know about Wayne Turner? Former Kentucky wildcat.. all he needed was a consistent jumper
Got it!
Maaaannnn you said a name then reece
That's a good one...
They won a national championship right? By the way happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Boston guy! Good topic!
Hold on Juan Dixon was not pg he was a combo guard like CJ McCollum
Man Steve Logan was that dude
this was the golden era of UC basketball. I used to love those point guards hugs would have on the squad every year. Logan, Nixky Van Exel and Kenny Satterfeiild were all the guys i tried to play like wehn i was a kid. Another favorite was a few years prior to Steve Logan the bearcats had a back court that contained Terry Nelson, Darnelll burton ans Lazelle Durden, they could shoot the lights out.
Thank you for doin this. This man was underrated. People forget about him. After watching one of your videos a couple days ago had me thinking about Steve logan
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Shawn Respert or Lou Bullock
Stunted Growth you should do Louis Bullock from Michigan.
Can we get one on Anthony Roberson he went pro with Matt Walsh before the 05 championship?
a high school legend in football and basketball out of flint
Steve Logan and that Cincy squad was my introduction to college basketball (and still one of the teams I root for alongside UNC and Illinois). I miss the old Conference USA, the teams and the rivalries were fun to watch as a kid.
USA was LIT! They were like the popular little brother that didn't always follow all the rules and did their own thing!!! Their guards were nice. USA always caught flack from the media due to the bottom half of USA. KRAZY, not the teams but. NBA scouts gave their guards hell when it came NCAA Tournament Time!!!?
@@Osarogie112258 that top half of Cincy, Memphis, Houston, and Louisville MY GOD!!!! Must see TV!!!
Feeling lucky for watching him live in 2005 at a small town in Turkey "Mersin" for a season long. He was burning every single game with crazy statistics. What an all around player. Missing those days.
Do Jaron Rush
Good one
Do one on Satterfield.
@Robert Drake- Nyc. Legends
ED Cota and Steve logon was the best point guard’s I ever seen in college
Really?
I was always shocked that Steve Logan never made it in the NBA as well. He was an amazing player for sure.
Jay Williams. The ultimate "stunted growth".
Word... He's otw don't worry
JC, I humbly and very personally thank u 4 this video. I didnt even get 2 ask u 4 it after leaving my comment on the Scottie Reynolds all American who never got drafted. I kno Steve personally and Im definitely gonna share this with his today. Thank u so much again 4 this. U were already very motivated and dedicated 2 this craft of urs. But this video took it 2 another level. Cuz it tells me not only did u read my comment, but u went and did ur homework. BIG MAJOR SHOUT OUTS 2 U FAM & Happy Thanksgiving brother 🙏🏾👍🏽
That's love man. Happy thanksgiving to you as well bro. Salute🙌🏾
Sick post !!
This was insanely great take, my guy Steve Logan was the killer we needed, but weren’t allowed to have 🤦♂️
I remember thinking watching him play he was the best lil man besides (AI) I ever seen and still shocked to this day he never got a REAL shot
Francisco Garcia And Taequan Dean...Louisville Cardinals brothers and legends...
Yeah the team with Martin,Levitt & Logan was tuff...
As a 6’2 guard 4 years younger then Steve he was someone I would study as far as his motor. Super tough. I wouldn’t say he was better then Juan Dixon or D Wagner who I both got the chance to play with and against in my life, but Steve definitely was one of my favorites to watch and should have definitely got a chance to play in the NBA.
I remember Steve Logan, he played with the homie Immanuel McElroy from Port Arthur Texas.
Beast!!!!
I MC= UC LEGEND!!! *BOOM*
Do Kevin Gaines from Michigan
Just seen Steve Logan today, dude is still healthy and doing productive things. Per our conversation we talked about his time with the Cincinnati bearcats. And other great things. A solid dude.
Respert at Michigan St., someone said Randolph Childress, Jacques Vaughn. There's a good list of guys out there. Vaughn may have been the best pure point guard of the 90s. No disrespect to guys like Bibby or Kenny Anderson. Nice vid though Logan was an assassin & the Bearcats were just loaded up every year. Martin doesn't break his leg & that team steamrolls the tournament. Without a question the #1 squad in the country.
Do one on malachi Richardson
When I was a senior in hs, I transferred to St.Edward, coming from Virginia. I remember going to the hs gym that summer and seeing Steve in there shooting. He was a junior at St.Eds. He wasn't intimidating at all and asked if I wanted to play 21. I'm telling you that dude cooked me with precision!! I thought I had skills until I played against him....
He was cold
Best College Basketball uniforms ever. (to this day)
Change my mind
Ever
The Back of the Classroom agreed
Man... that's a good convo. I gotta go with uconn, Cincy and Syracuse in there.
@@stuntedgrowth your thoughts on the new _"short"_ shorts? I'm from the 90's and 2000's era. I prefer the longer shorts
Also can't forget Iverson era Georgetown kente cloth uniforms
Excellent video... life is full of politics. This could happen on any job... timing, the economy, the right name and connections. You could have a great career or never get pass the oral exam
Great video..I've grow up watching him to..#CollegeLegend
How did these players do in the NBA combines? Although its not fair, alot of these guys get jettisoned during that process.
I enjoyed him just as much as I enjoyed kmart while in college. He my top 5 favorite all time
Man, you have to do Aaron Miles from Kansas
Sophisticated CiTi he was nice at KU
BRO U KEEP IT STUFFED LIKE A HOLIDAY TURKEY WITH THESE VIDEOS! IT'S LIKE I'M A KID AGAIN, THANKS BRO.
lol No problem man, thank you!
He was tough!!! But he wasn’t better than Frank Williams!
I remember playing against him when he played for Cory rec.... he was a beast as a little kid 💯
Steve Logan was one of my favorite point guards in college basketball ever
*Word*
I wish he could have had a yogi type of situation where a team saw something in him and let him prove himself. Maybe then things would have been so much different.
One of the biggest stunted growths of all time: Lee Benson Jr.! This guy was heavily recruited in high school until he was convicted to a long prison sentence (10 years if I'm not wrong), after being released from prison he joined a junior college where he averaged 35 points and 14 rebounds (10 years removed from organized basketball!), went undrafted in 2002 and went on to league the Chinese league in scoring with 37 ppg!
Def gotta check him out. Appreciate that fam.
Wowww this shit need to be talked about more than all of these put out smh
@@Stoneygreat 👌🏾
stuntedgrowth yo not gone lie bro do that video that’s done fire content brotha with your narrative it’s a instant hit
My bad he averaged 37 ppg when he led the CBA in scoring!
They did Stevie Logan wrong. He was a pure shooter and better than any of those clowns drafted ahead of him
I loved watching him go against Memphis. Him and Dajuan Wagner use to go at it tough...
The man! My #22 jordan brand uc jerzy is sacred.
I thought I was the only person that was a fan of him. I started watching college basketball because of him. I used to pick the Bearcats on the because of him.
Just further proof that the Timberwolves are cursed
Troy Bell- Boston College
Marcus Hatten- St. Johns
Luis Flores-Manhattan
Speedy Clayton-Hofstra
Carl English-Hawai’i
Julian Sensley-Hawai’i.
Tito Maddox-Fresno state
Melvin Ely- Fresno state
Tremaine Fowlkes-Fresno State
Dan Dickau-Gonzaga
Those Cincinnati teams was slept on. Glad you could shine some light on one of our legends...
I have to go to a basketball camp with him today I’m excited
Oh boy! I smell Melvin levitt video coming up
Him and Kenny Satterfield well hell of a backcourt like you said too bad he didn't get a chance cuz he was really nice same goes for Satterfield Satterfield never already got a full chance to play in the League
KSatt had potential but left school to early....
Great player played against him in high school he was unstoppable
My favorite guard of that era makes me mad he didn’t get a long run in the L
My guy Dan Dickau was pretty damn good lol
Steve Logan and Kenny Satterfield backcourt was deadly in C-USA love watching them do work
I was so excited when the Warriors drafted him.
Oh it hurts.
Happy thanksgiving everyone......salute stunted growth
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well man. salute
Do one about Melvin Levett from Cincy
I see my guy has ads on the videos now,Salute. Spot on about Logan
Hell yea!!!
I was just thinking about him. This dude was steady as hell
He’s my coach for basketball
That team was explosive & physical
I am a long time Memphis Tiger fan and you don't have to tell me how good Logan was. He was a true Tiger killer. I'm not sure who would dominant us more between he and Nick Van Exel. When Juan Wagner would play against Logan, they both would always score over 30 points, but Wagner would get his point with volume shooting, while not shooting such a great percentage, where as Logan would get his 30 points while shooting a much better percentage. It felt like Logan would never miss a shot. Not only was I suprised that he didn't make it in the NBA, but I totally expected him to be a super star. Wow.
*BOOM*
He was a beast straight back and that day he work alot of people
This might be a bit of a reach i don't know but ill ask. Arther Agee and William Gates. Charles and Ed O'bannon.
Nice ones!
Steve "Ruff Ryyyyyyyders" Logan.
😅
I forgot all about him!!! He was lethal!!! Reminded me of AI!!! Players like him and Bootsy Thorton from St Johns were bigtime threats.
He was tough 💯Politics
This was a good friend of my dad, love the video and shoutout to 105 St Clair Cleveland Ohio
MANNNNNNN!!!!!!! BEARCAT LEGEND!!!!!!!
Us Cincinnati ppl loved him
NICE! Loved Logan.
Steve Logan has madd game Son truth.
I sat next to Steve at a UC game last year, great dude. Grew up watching him just torch teams. He's my guy.
Sadly. If Steve was honest, he was ashamed at what he was seeing out on the court of the Shoemaker Center. UC is *not even CLOSE* to what they used to be......and I don't ever see them getting to that status again. THANK YOU NANCY ZIMPHER.....you black hosed....high heeled wearing hoe!
Exree Hipp would be a good one my man
he was the reason I wore the number 22 as a kid.
Watched this video and I'm hooked. Love the content. Joseph forte wouldn't be a bad one to try out in the future. Keep up the great work!
