Kj is an athletic piece that matches up well with most teams. He has to continue to show consistency. He can definitely be top 9 on a championship team.
I’m tired of ppl naming Reggie Jackson as if he’s been bad in his limited mins! He’s been solid every time his been on the floor. Drummond, EG and Lowry are the 3 most glaring players. Caleb actually looks injured so I can actually judge him correctly.
if they successfully reacquired Jimmy Butler, where would he play? He would take minutes either from Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain, Kelly Oubre Jr., or...Kyle Lowry.
We have three KJ Martin types so he is expendable. We still need someone who get buckets so that why KJ is our only valuable piece that brings the that 3!point specialist.
Should the sixers just have kept KJ on a lower salary? Or would it not have mattered? I’m hesitant to trade any of the tradeable pieces. Kelly oubre has been playing well, Caleb has been injured and usually in general plays better in the playoffs even in Miami and if you trade him at the deadline you won’t even see if he does actually elevate in the playoffs not to mention he was doing way too much with Embiid and PG out and we have yet to see him adjust to the main 3 guys. yabu has been solid, kj has been a good depth piece. The only ones I would get rid of are players no one probably wants like Eric Gordon etc. also I feel like this team hasn’t had enough run yet. Though herb jones is tempting…
Sixers were up against the cap and K.J. was the one guy they were allowed to sign to a balloon contract that doesn't count against the cap. (No idea why it was him, specifically.) So, the only thing his salary affects is the oragnization paying him a little more but it doesn't impact the cap. If I remember correctly they could have signed him to a deal up to 15 million, and opted for 8. It was the right move. If he plays well then great. If not it's an expiring contract to offload. Win/Win. He's playing well now, which increases his value in both respects. I would definitely include K.J. for Herb Jones if that would get it done. Though I'd prefer to give them Caleb if they would do that instead.
@@PastorJonRPC thanks for the info. KJ and draft picks might get it done for herb jones. I’m still iffy on giving up on Caleb too early. Even Nick nurse today in his press conference said he’s nowhere close to a 100% and dealing with a lot of diff things. I want to see him healthy before I write him off but I can see given the way he’s been playing why people would choose him to go first. They’ll have some tough decisions to make if they go for someone like herb jones. They might actually have to give both guys up to get him bc they can’t take back more salary bc they are over the first apron I think.
@@pennytrue2741 Yeah they are over first apron but Jones' cap hit is only like 12 or 13 mil., so you could do that deal for either KJ or Caleb and put Gordon and Jackson in there for salary, as well as a few picks. We'll see if Caleb can turn it around. I hope he can. But as of right now KJ is the best defender on the team which is one reason I'd have trouble giving him up unless it was necessary to get a guy like Jones.
Reggie Jackson has been ok at times. Caleb has had multiple injuries he’s been playing through and has yet to adjust to the 3 main guys. He was brought in as a role player and we’ve only seen him play outside of his role (ie doing too much) so I’m interested to see how he adjusts with the big 3. The other thing with Caleb is he was predominately brought in for the playoffs. He has elevated his shooting percentages and level of play every post season with the heat. So much so he almost got ECFs mvp a year or two ago, if you trade him at the deadline we won’t ever know if he can have the same impact on the sixers.
Lowry , Gordon and Jackson have no value other than salary fillers in a trade, but getting rid of those 3 would open up roster spots. Caleb has been an utter disappointment, KJ is providing most ofthe things we wanted from Caleb.
Trade PG for Butler, although Nurse and Bulter would clash. Trade Oubre for Patrick Williams. KJ is a keeper. Sixers are not beating the Celtics or Knicks, let's just be honest.
Kyle Lowry should not be getting no minutes he should be home with Gordon and Drummond and Jackson they don't need these guys at all and Caleb Martin has been trash nothing like who he was with the heat. Let these guys go get younger and cheaper athletic guys. Sixers never are great at rebounding penetration and getting easy baskets. Never get no more than one dunk no excitement. Players with hops and dunks. The fans want excitement and they just don't have it That's what's missing. Philly always had at least 2 exciting players

I completely agree!
KJ Martin remind me of a young Charles Barkley. He's performing very well.
Stop it
You're right you just don't get rid of a player like 🤔K.J .
True unless you're getting a Ingram type of player back

Reggie Jackson is irrelevant bro. You need a hobby.

Kelly Oubre, McCain, Drummond, KJ Martin are off limits. With of course Maxey Embiid and Paul George., but I would move KJ and pics for Brandon Ingram
I wouldn’t give up on kj only way he go is if they get jimmy or herb
Katie Martin cannot shoot at all but you finally said something that I agree with play the young kids

Need to move PG to GS for Kuminga a filler and picks
First
Man, if a nice player is getting offered, Im getting rid of KJ. We talking about can't shoot KJ Martin.
Agree depends on what they get back. If KJ was on a lower salary and just a bench depth piece I would say keep him.
Yup -- If you can grab a guy like Herb Jones for K.J., salary filler, and picks, then K.J. should be gone without hesitation.
Herb Jones all the way. That's who we need

@@b.neuman6779 that trade makes absolutely no sense, respectfully
