It's all pre-recorded video so you'll only get weather effects and night driving if they actually go out and record the routes with that stuff actually happening at the time. It's all very realistic this way but the flip side is that it really limits what can be done. The best hope is that one of the Western based developers can buy a licence from JR East and add the tracks to their games. Unfortunately, Japanese corps are notorious for overcharging for their product as can be seen by the price of the DLC for this game.

Thank you for posting. Is this game worth buying? Thank you.
I’m hoping they add a little more in the way of interaction, and more scenarios for the high cost.
I'd really love to get into this game, but there's just no way I'm paying almost $1000 CAD to get all of the content.
I Agree , is way too expensive , don't get me wrong i do enjoy it , but the price is way over the top .
Why don't many have all the stations available?
They come in DLC 's $29 each , more on the way !
thanks for the clarification!
