I’m a freight train conductor myself, it’s insane how accurate the gameplay is to real life.
It's amazing how far these sims have come in the last 10 years, so realistic & getting better in each iteration!
be funy if they implement underpowered trains and banner test
This game is so pretty. For true to life train physics in a railroad simulator, check out Run8. It’s open world sandbox and multiplayer as well. Work road trains, locals, industry switchers or Amtrak.
That's laughable especially the part where you say you're a Conductor, what are you talking about this game is Nowhere near Accurate to real life. There is so much missing from being Real in game. Guess you didn't look hard enough at the MFD wrong locations of tools and missing icons ha-ha but it's Insane how Accurate it is tho as you say Conductor, yeah OK I believe that!
@@BernieLomax-g8j To clarify, riding conductor in the game. Not in real life. If you watch any of my videos I talk openly about what I really do.
I’ve always loved trains. I loved trains before what I do now … fly airplanes.
If you like trains why not pursue a career as a train engineer?
@@slayer7950 … I’m too old. I’m in my “sunset years”, but I found both career paths equally exciting. I became enthralled with railroading right at the close of the steam (“Big Boy”) era, and aviation just as the Lockheed Super Constellation “flew into the sunset.”
This era was when America was at its peak, and seemingly could do no wrong. At least, technologically.
@@flitetymI enjoy the idea of you flying a plane and looking down thinking: “oh cool a train! I like trains!” At the same time the operator of the train is looking up and sees you flying overhead and thinks: “A plane! How cool!” Both of you have awesome careers that still make me a 30 year old man stop and watch.
Would u like a pat on the back?..
I want to fly airplanes if my dream job doesn’t work
As a kid I was always so amazed about trains. Growing up I stopped caring as much but watching this video has made me want to re-explore why I loved trains so much as a child.
Same exact thing for me lol
I’m 21, I’ve been a fan of trains/ a rail fan if you will since I first remember watching train videos on my family’s old computer around 2011/2012, watching this video I would enjoy all the time, for the rest of my life, it’s to me simple, yet nostalgic because I also love trains. I also adore! Older steam trains, especially there beautiful whistle!
They really need to add radio affects in the cab and be able to hear defect detectors as well. That would be cool.
Yep i agree
Yeah and like they had radio chatter in Sand Patch Grade.
@jenniferadams7582 yea that was so good
Want radio effects, this is what I did or on your cellphone there should be an audio record icon go to your computer or TV and start the RUclips app and look up conductor and engineer radio chatter between dispatch engineers and conductors and record it to your phone, record as much as you can some videos are longer than others find the one's with lot's of chatter time back and forth and when you finish if you have an blue tooth audio speaker pair it to your phone or computer and run the audio recordings while you're operating your train keep the speaker right in front of your computer or TV while operating your train and the effect will be like it's coming from the coms receiver.
@@cruzgarcia6173 That's a good idea! I usually have something (usually asmr stuff or white noise) playing on loop in background while train simming so yeah will have to try that!
UP had a track about 100 yards behind my house in the foot hills of Mt. Shasta. It was amazing seeing the 300+ car consists go by during the summer.
Thats so cool!
It really was. They usually had three locomotives in the middle. Also the safety videos UP showed us as kids were no joke.
Thanks for posting these videos of the antelope valley lines. My son is obsessed with trains, and we live in the area within the game in real life, so his little mind is BLOWN.
Haha thats amazing!! Glad yall enjoyed it. Hopefully he get to play it himself sometime
You should try Run 8. It is a not very well-known train simulator that real railroaders herald as having the best physics for north American freight trains of any train sim. It puts TSW to shame. It has pretty bad graphics, but the base game gives you like 400 miles of track of the Mojave Subdivision from Bakersfield to Barstow, and the Needles Subdivision from Barstow to Needles. the other routes you can be can be seamlessly connected to each other if they are part of the same region. It is multiplayer compatible with a small but dedicated community and is extremely open world. You can run whatever you want to wherever you want. I strongly recommend checking it out.
"All you had to do is follow the dam train, CJ!"
Lol!!!
Crazy. This brings back memories. I used to commute on Metrolink on that route from Lancaster to LA. End of line to end of line. Daily for nearly 2 years before I moved back home to Nevada. My house was 3 blocks away from the Lancaster station so it made sense.
Crazy watching that pass through Santa Clarita! The route is accurate, minus the big buildings. But that was cool to watch!
Men I absolutely love the cinematic camera especially with heavy freight trains like this. It sounds so deam awesome
I used to live in the Antelope Valley as well as Santa Clarita. It did capture the Vincent (Hill) Metrolink station, the Saugus Station, and possible the Newhall station. It also had the water treatment where the curve is and the old Thatcher glass plant and the Newhall pass tunnel. The trackage, freeway overpasses in the Sylmar area was fairly accurate. Now for the misses, Plant 42 and the Lockheed Skunk Works just north of Palmdale, the Palmdale Metrolink station, the tunnels in Soledad Canyon between Vincent and Santa Clarita. Maybe they are in there and just weren't included in your video,.
And Crazy Otto's haha
Yea I noticed the base wasnt included , wonder if that's on purpose , or they just didnt want to design that big of a building for plant 42 , they also missed the Carl's jr on sierra and Avenue J
I remember waiting for trains at the avenue P and Sierra hwy crossing during my lunch runs in early 2000s. Trains were long and made me late getting back to work.
I play alot of American truck sim. But watching you play this game makes me want to get into it as well. Great video
Wow well thanks alot! I been trying to play more ats
me to i watch you because im getting tsw4 and you help me learn ty.
More young people should try this, to learn train engineering...Pretty cool bratha.
a freight steam train super satisfying as well
When RUclips randomly recommends a video months or even years after it was posted, and you're like, this is pretty good to the point of deciding to buy the game.
I loved TSW3 havent played 4 yet.
I wanted to work for UP for years, never on the train itself but on the rails and switches and such. The guys behind the scenes who make sure the engineers can keep on running down them rails.
The Karen at 30:54 🤣 Freights aren’t supposed to be on this line!!! 🤣
Hahahahaahha
This is fascinating. I'm a flight sim guy. I've a fairly elaborate flight sim pit for DCS. Knew of racing sims, just discovered train and truck sims. Soo cool. But I've much to learn about flying. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy... maybe we'll come across one another in the virtual sim world some day when all this stuff gets merged in the Matrix LOL 🤓
When all this gets merged ill be there day 1
@@BluGames Right! See ya there Sir 👍
I watched your video from the beginning to the absolute end. Without fast-forwarding it. I just left it alone and let it play. What a remarkable video you did here. Can you please do another video with some different locomotives maybe sd40 or SD 50s that would be awesome or some GP40s GP38s Dash 8 C- 40
Best TSW RUclipsr yet..
Just got tsw4 deluxe on sale on ps5. Loving photo mode. While the finer things like focus are above my skill set, just being able to pause and line up shot is amazing!
Y'know, you should do a big 8-10 locomotive lashup on Sand Patch Grade with this train spawning ability.
I should
I hate playing this game but I love watching someone else plays it. I don't know wtf is wronng with me. anyways, great video brother👍
Hahahaah. Well im honored u chose watch me lol
That was very fun to watch, thanks! I was cringing there at the end signal! 😅 I look forward to upgrading to TSW4, but have to wait until after christmas in case santa brings it for me.
Well hope santa does
Hi Blu, that consist is EPIC. Thanks for sharing, love your channel.
I was born in the Antelope Valley. Lived there for 30+ years.
Sheesh wow. Well how does this compare?
@BluGames honestly, it's not bad. It's not an accurate, but there are enough building to where it triggers my brain to know exactly where you are. Where first part of the long straight, road to the right is Sierra Hwy, or El Camino Sierra. It's been around since the early 1800s as a wagon trail for the gold rush Era. It also signifies the division of the east and west side of lancaster. On that same straight there is a gas station on the right. That's Ave M or "Columbia way" after the space shuttle. To the left in the same area would be skunkworks, Northrop Grumman and various others, housing the B52 and B2. Lancaster has a rich history of aviation.
That was epic thanks for the ride along.
Glad you enjoyed it
Blu, have you been to Altoona? It's pretty sweet the scenery is great and it's fairly busy. I've been there a few times That grade crossing you mentioned out of Altoona is the Brickyard which is a sweet spot for getting trackside pictures. Cresson just after the tunnels is another cool spot and they do crew changes there and RJ Corman work out of there also. There are also hotel at the tunnels and in Cresson. Sorry for the lengthy comment.
The most underrated RUclipsr every
finally a good video .. i need more of this .. specially this one
Thanks so much that means alot
If only they really gave you this much power in real life lol that train on my district were getting two locos max and crawling up hills. This game is insanely accurate. Love the gameplay.
Great post! Thank you for sharing. My thing is flight sim. I've got a hotrodded 'puter with P3D v5 and a bunch of A2A aircraft. Train simulation has always interested me. Used to read Model Railroader back in the day, and always wondered when they'd come out with a railroading sim for the home PC. I've seen a number of RUclips videos on the topic, but this one is the first one that makes me think about actually buying the sim and running it on my machine. I'll have to watch a couple more of your videos first. Keep on rockin'.
I really appreciate that. I am a flight simmer also. Hopefully u fins what you are looking for in a train sim. There are a few to choose from
Man i drive trains at work and for some reason am contemplating buying this game 😂😂
Hahaha
It's nice they now allow the mix of power opposed to just being able to run sd70s or the ac's only on one train. I haven't played this since the release of Cajon on TSW3 but after seeing this video I know what I'm buying next.
I want the run from Barstow to Bakersfield....through the Tehachapi Loop!
Me too
I live very close to the Tehachapi Loop and can drive there in about 10 minutes from my house. I don't own TS4, but would buy it instantly if it had that route. @@BluGames
They have it on train simulator classic.
And run 8
Cool video, thanks!
Hey blue love the vids been watching since old infinite flight days keep up the good work
Wow thank you very much
I like to play with my own spawned in trains in timetable mode because free roam feels a lot more empty
Agreed
Yes sameee
Excellent video, seems like you had your handful at times. The F7 timetables are darn near impossible have you had any luck?
I have had no luck on the grade with the f7 lol
Usually the relief Crew would be waiting at that location as soon as you get off they would hop in so I doubt the train would be sitting long.
They were stuck in traffic
I am a goblin and I like trains because they are cool
🚆 ❤ 😎
Great Video! On sale at steam today so I was looking to see what its all about. Being a freight nut, this was perfect.
Eyyy! I grew up in Lancaster, CA. 👍
Haha cool!
The most I've made was 273 cars, of which 18 were locos. I've done it on Cajon Pass, Antelope Valley, Sand Patch, and Horseshoe. I mostly do 170 to 190 fully loaded.
Sounds like a lot of walking back and forth to spawn in that long a train lol most I've done was a 33000 foot train in train sim classic but the game crashes weren't having it lol
U opened my eyes to freight trains so hard holy shit
I had a train once on the UP that was 22,000 tons, that was the record for the cajon pass at the time. Really Wish the physics were as good as the graphics with this game.
Nice video! I have been playing TrainZ. I did not get Train World 4 but I'm going to get 5 when it releases soon.
Love From India ❤
Love from texas
I am a conductor with UP. This is cool.
Learned more on this than pretty much any other video good on u bro
Wow really!? Glad i could help
I enjoyed the video, especially the scenic shots. How about a video telling Nubees how to get those shots.
I live on this route. and I can confirm this is a frieght and passenger line.
And I presume they run a lot of intermodal traffic on that line?
when a black player plays a Trainsim game it shows that you can establish yourself. Hats off. This is one of the best presentations of that game and this dlc.
What does white or black have to do with it??
not into trains and this came on while working counting the gritters in and out for 0200 gritting runs over the South West of England
and i actually started to watch it
well edited and chilled to watch!

The gameplay is cool but oh man the amount railroads charge to ship stuff like this from A to B is wild
And yet these companies still make a profit somehow
@@BluGames I work for a Logistics company that helps companies with the railroads (UP, CN, KCS, BNSF, NS, CPRS, CSXT) I legit couldn't tell you how they are still making a profit after I see those numbers
I was hoping you to do this route!
Yesss i know i have been wanting to
imagine a logistic addon for flight simulator, euro truck 2, and tsw4 to bring all the simulators together :O
You would have to do a locomotive air brake test to confirm the brakes work on the locomotive consists. 3 sets and 3 releases
Ok sounds good
They need to let us add manual tracks 😅 from station to station gonna be OP
Gotta come do some Run8 Videos on the HighGreen server in the south east. Lots of big heavy trains to run
When you were first spawning it all in I thought you were gonna make a DPU setup. Nonetheless still an awesome consist setup
You probably wouldn't be allowed to use that many engines at one time. Those stack trains aren't really that heavy. You have DP on it, likely you would only need one DP and a head unit pulling. Depending on diesel unit ratings for territory. Before you knock off the independent you have to notch and get some amps as you slowly release it.
I’ve been iffy on getting train sim world.. I’ve about to start phase 2 training on the locomotive engineer program for the Long Island Railroad and don’t want to confuse information haha. Maybe I can do other routes and not the Long Island railroad
Yeah, maybe drive passengers around for work, but then drive some freight for fun! Also congrats on engineer training!
Great video thank you
Thank YOU
Looked for something interesting to watch while I moked a bowl and ended up watching this. Dope stuff man 😂
This is my first time seeing a train simulator. Everything looks correct in the cabin, but where is PTC?
No ptc.
I love your gameplay vids! I'm a TrainSim fanatic as well. I would just like to offer a helpful tip. In TSW3, i've learned that when connecting multiple locomotives, it's beneficial to make sure to climb aboard each loco to ensure that all of the gen field switches are on, in each one. I tried to pull a long heavy freight train on Cajon Pass, without realizing that only my lead loco was providing power, and not my other locos, which made my trip rather difficult. Ever since, I've always made a point to make sure I climb aboard each loco to turn on the gen field switch. It can be a pain when you have a long train, especially with locos on the back, having to walk/run all the way down to the end just to flip the gen field switches. Now, all of that being said, I very well could be mistaken as to whether or not my "tip" is necessary, but I hope this might prove useful for you! (and for anyone else who loves train sims like I do) Love the videos, Blu! Keep 'em coming!
I find the realism of the trains very good.
We can ser some details but it's the four version .....and the landscape can be ameliorared.
I would be really interested in how fast that train could go uphill in a full send mode. 🙂
It is probably not meant for something like that, but still, I'd be curious!
looks fun. I may try this out.
I love your content, would you be able to do a video on British freight so we can see your opinions on how we operate it over here
Great idea
Love your videos, thanks for all your work!
Nice
✌️
Are the UP locomotives included? It doesn't show them in the Antelope Valley package.
The size of American trains is awesome but i much prefer the lines in Germany, much busier😅
Oh 6525 is the unit # brother
Great realism to this traim sim. That CP unit is numbered wrong though. These types of units are usually numbered from 8000 to 9800.
Good to know. But i have no idea how to. Change that. Sounds like a job for the devs.
i think i made this livery and idk anything about numbers, i'm not a huge geek to the last detail but i'm going to fix it rn then reupload it
i cannot change the number boards on the front, it's part of the model ,but the painted numbers are all fixed now
Don't worry it's cool, minor detail. I live in Canada. The rest of the unit is great, right down to the traction motor trucks. @@OmnikTWR
Dam I live right by that Vincent grade action station
nice sim! i love freight trains, i plaing tsw4 from 1 month, there are a lot of bugs!
I like trains
I hope I get this for Christmas more now:D
Great content and really enjoyed your enthusiasm, Subscribed and Hi from UK
Man this is going back to my childhood where me and my brother was watching Thomas the tank I love trains especially train simulators like this one do they have it on PS5 I will like to try it out 👍🇺🇸
Yes this gane is on ps5
How much
why’d i think this was a new satisfactory update
Hahahaha
i like this route
Me too
That’s weird 1.6 miles is just shy of 8500’. I
Was hoping they would fix measurements like this like how when your going 60mph your supposed to be going a mile per minute
Have you been able to put a remote engine or two in the middle of your train? Say, four up front, two in the middle and three in the back and when you reach a steep pass. Put on two more at the front, one more in the middle and three more at the rear?
If not, or if it's not yet available to do so, would you as soon as you are able?
hey are you using RailDriver in this video? Also any plans on making SimRail videos?
Thanks!
Try two norfolk southern 80 loaded coal consists total weight will be about 24k to 25k tons.
i like his videos
I love trains to bro 🤟💪🤝
might be a stupid question but what dlc does all of the freight trains you showed in the video come with? bought the antelope valley dlc and it only came with two passenger trains
Do you get SanBernardino and Barstow with this sim?
Those are on the “Cajon Pass” dlc. But sadly not connected to this route “antelope valley
@BluGames right, but in general, sim 4 train sim comes with it, right?
@@rayg1022ableno, it is a separate DLC
Are his headphones earcovers??
Try run8 train sim similar operations but has multiplayer communities. But can spawn trains up to 250 units ( locomotives and cars) and has SoCal routes and east coast CSX routes that’s what I play. It’s about $50 usd for the base route pack. Run8 has defect detector sound effects along with wheel screeching. Player can also dispatch their trains and AI traffic
@ 5:30 you said 6525 feet long, that is the number of the train you are in, as you can see @ 6:05 but other then that, good video :)
Didn't know AC4400CW came with jet engines
are the diesel locomotives available for download or do they come with the game? If they are available for download are they then
downloaded individually? and which one is better train sim world 3 or 4????
Do they have options where you can do runs that have drop offs to side factories etc
For this specific route no.. but on some of The other routes u might find a scenario that does that but im not sure which one
@@BluGames well on the peninsula corridor you can do a full aggregate run by running loaded hoppers up to the South San Francisco yard, doing a bit of switching up there and then you actually go to the construction facility and unload the hoppers there and then you bring them back south empty.
I wish they had conductors.
