Starting back in Gen I, the localization of Pokemon names in French has an interesting history. French culture has a rather unique opposition to loanwords or any outside influence to the French language which is enforced by the French Academy, a sort of cultural and linguistic regulatory body of which there is no counterpart in English. Most Pokemon names in languages other than English and Japanese are a "literal" transition of the Pokemon names in either one of those languages, but the French Pokemon names are the exception. The majority of French Pokemon names do not attempt to "French-ify" the English or Japanese names and are instead totally unique creations. Sometimes they're even better, such as Zubat and Golbat being Nosferapti and Nosferalto respectively. A lot of this info comes from Nob Ogasawara, the English translator of the first 4 gens who did an amazing interview with Did You Know Gaming.

Yes! I was so disappointed when I realized that Spidops doesn't evolve, so this was perfect to see! And the amount of concepts that fit into it without the visual design feeling overdone was amazing!
Honestly I could see Arakakara being an amazing Pokemon paired with something like a Future Sight Galarian Slowking or something, and if it keeps Stakeout, even better. You False Retreat into Slowking, who'd bulky and can respond with an attack, status, or setting up a future sight for later. Then once it swaps itself back out, Regenerator heals off the damage it sustained if it was attacked, but if they swapped in fear of Slowking, then Arakakara comes in and nails the switch in with double damage. Depending on stats, this thing could be a monster
It would be cool if Dramparade had a signature move that protects allies and adds the normal typing. Like a version of safeguard. Only useful in doubles, true, but plays into the inspirations you have for protecting against spirits since it makes them immune to ghost moves.

I had a similar thought that Dramparade should protect it's allied from ghost moves. I went down the path of having it as an ability though, something like a ghost type lightning rod.
I love Tortank. It might be confusing since it is very close to Blastoise's French name Turtank, but easy fix is clearly just to call it something else in French if it was a real Pokemon. I suppose in that case it would be a non-issue, but I could still see it causing some international confusion.

What wouldn't be cool is a new Bewear form/evolution based on the "Chipko Movement", which is basically a non-violent resistance aimed at protection & conservation of forests from being destroyed. So I can imagine it hugging trees with its arms spread around the tree's trunk to defend them from loggers. But given this is a relatively simple design idea, I wouldnt be surprised to hear there already exists a Bewear form based on just that. Oh well, I'd still like to see your take on it cuz I studied about it just a few weeks ago for my Geography test & I think it's a clever concept I came up with.
With Bisharp & Duraludon getting a new evolution in G9, it's safe to say that any 1st or 2nd stage (with no Mega Evolution) no matter the BST can receive a evolution which is exciting to hear.
You are right about the Spidops haters hating it... I'm one of them XD I mean, I think it is a good concept, but I don't like how it looks. However, that new evolution you came up with is such an absolute unit and I love it. If that was its final evolution officially, I would no longer avoid that line
I like the blend of concepts for Klawrbor. It'd be cool to have on a team with other large plant-animal pokemon such as Venusaur, Torterra, Tropius. Could maybe throw in an Alolan Exeggutor, (certainly large and plant-like, but not all that animal-esque), and a Meganium, (a decent but simple plant-animal fusion, but on the small side), to fill out the team.
Barboonch's design looks so freak 'in awesome and I would love if it was a real Pokémon, I also love that it has the same typing as Sharpedo another two stage Pokémon I love.

Hey, I don't know if you're done for ideas, but I've been interested in a very unrepresented culture, the Garo people, in Northeast India. They have many awesome pieces of folklore, particularly the Wakmangganchi Aragondi, a 7 headed mountain pig, and the Ajaju, a tall, Chameleon creature with many tongues and the ability to mimic voices. They're so unique so could make excellent fakemon! 😊
I'm making my own Pokémon region as well, but unfortunately can't draw any of them due to a lack of skill, interest in learning and knowledge. However, your stuff is still a big inspiration, and I'd love to see my own Pokémon stuff be just as good quality-wise as yours, love the content
I've had an idea for a third evolution for Starmie called Starmageddon. This idea was inspired by Evangelion, more specifically inspired by Ramiel's design and attack style. I even came up with an ability called Doom drive that would either boost special attack each time a beam attack is used or boost beam attack damage by (1.3 or 1.5x)- (similar to technician or sniper). I also came up with two possible typing's which are psychic/steel or psychic/rock. Starmageddon would have a lot of defense and a high special attack stat. I would love if an artist can design this idea and maybe even suggest it to this channel for review.
Drampa is like a grandpa Pokémon so it should get counterpart that is Grampma or Drampma where it's a ground dragon (or ground/normal) grandma looking Pokémon. It could be protective of its owner lore wise like a grandma would be with her grandkids. Maybe it's gimmick is where it surrounds the Pokémon after them a ground type shield. You would have to use a super effective (to ground) attack to destroy it otherwise it goes away after 3 turns. It could also have a move that heals a random ally Pokemon (like grandmas help mom/dad with their kids and like how they cook/care for them restoring health.)
I actually have 5 fakemon of my own. Their names are Sharctic, its evolved form Megaberg, Blastquito, Heatfly, and Magmantis. Species names- Sharctic: The Ice Shark Pokémon Megaberg: The Iceberg Shark Pokémon Blastquito: The Mosquito Pokémon Heatfly: The Fire Fly Pokémon Magmantis: The Mantis Pokémon Sharctic looks like a small blue and white shark with ice on the fin tips and teeth made of ice. Megaberg looks like a large glacier in the shape of a shark with glowing blue eyes. Blastquito looks like a large mosquito with a flamethrower end in place of the typical stinging thing mosquitoes have. Heatfly looks like a giant fly with flames on its back and head. Magmantis looks like a large red humanoid mantis with fire wings and bladed... arm things that mantises have.
I do like how you made Turtonator’s fan-made evolution the same way as the Pangoro evolution that was shared in another video of yours, while also referencing to how one gets a kingambit by having bisharp defeat three bisharp who are leaders of their own respective pack.
These new evolutions were epic! I'd recommend making a new pokemon based on the Indian superhero Shaktimaan. He's one of the OG superheroes from India who originated during the 90's. And the character is now also getting a solo movie soon. Trust me, people will go crazy from happiness if you make a pokemon based on Shaktimaan
I'd like so see more baby pokempn again. Kangaskhan. Tropius and Skarmory are the first 3 that come to mind for me and newer gens seem to have so many standalones that make a pokemon not feel complete
A second gen Pokémon that's based on a mythical worm. It's basically known for being "promising" but never delivering on that promise. People had imagined it evolving into a dragon but when it finally got an evolution, it just had an extra body segment.
The reason Dudunsparce is basically Dunsparce with one extra segment is because the entire line is supposed to be based off the joke youkai the tsuchinoko, which roughly looks like Dunsparce and is known for rolling itself into a hoop and rolling around.
Thank you so much for the arachnophobia warning. Just yesterday, I watched another Poke-tuber who created a spider-based Pokemon and used a video of a tarantula with no warning (at least not out loud. I had my eyes closed and only peaked to see if he had moved on, only to be met with said video). A verbal and visual warning is very helpful.

I was really keen for Tarountula, thought it had a goofy design. Sadly I felt like Spidops was a bit of a let down, it’s art is super cool but the in game model just couldn’t do it justice. So seeing it get some more love with a fan design like Arakakara is super cool.
I would like there to be counter to Roserade that is like a fire or ice grass type bipedal Pokemon. There being a psychic ghost variety of Mismagius. A counterpart that is like a fighting/flying type Togekiss.
I love the new designs I think the issue with any cross generation evolutions is it devalues any of the original, which in some cases they weren't used to begin with, they should've just made the ones you've shown as they're base evolutions
Honestly as Sikh I love Arakakara, and the inspiration is great and love the representation. But oh god I almost died with the pronunciations (once again I know you tried your best but holy heck)
KIND OF late but signature move idea for arakakara: Webbed Scimitar. Bug Move. Arakakara takes 1 turn to weave its webs into a scimitar, and deals 130 damage the next turn. The damage is doubled during harsh sunlight and charge up is reduced on Grassy Terrain.
I love that meditama's focus beads have an added effect beyond just being an evolution method, I'm not a huge fan of when items get added for the sole purpose of evolution
Don't know if anyone already stated it, but Tortank is actually already used by France to named their Blastoise. I love the name Arakakara, the design of Meditama, maybe it also could have a mega as its counterpart Medicham (though, obviously, not all branch evolution have megas to both of them - Slowbro, Glalie; but they're cases in which both branched evolution got a mega, e.g. Gardevoir/Gallade). Barboonch is also quite great design and I even also love the mangrove Pokémon Klawrbor, though, its name is a bit difficult to pronounce.

My God, this dude has so much knowledge on literally anything and I don’t even know what’s a Dunsparse.
A second gen Pokémon that's based on a mythical worm. It's basically known for being "promising" but never delivering on that promise. People had imagined it evolving into a dragon but when it finally got an evolution, it just had an extra body segment.
The reason Dudunsparce is basically Dunsparce with one extra segment is because the entire line is supposed to be based off the joke youkai the tsuchinoko, which roughly looks like Dunsparce and is known for rolling itself into a hoop and rolling around.

Just yesterday, I watched another Poke-tuber who created a spider-based Pokemon and used a video of a tarantula with no warning (at least not out loud. I had my eyes closed and only peaked to see if he had moved on, only to be met with said video). A verbal and visual warning is very helpful.

I was really keen for Tarountula, thought it had a goofy design. Sadly I felt like Spidops was a bit of a let down, it’s art is super cool but the in game model just couldn’t do it justice. So seeing it get some more love with a fan design like Arakakara is super cool.

I would like there to be counter to Roserade that is like a fire or ice grass type bipedal Pokemon. There being a psychic ghost variety of Mismagius. A counterpart that is like a fighting/flying type Togekiss.
I love the new designs I think the issue with any cross generation evolutions is it devalues any of the original, which in some cases they weren't used to begin with, they should've just made the ones you've shown as they're base evolutions

I think the regional klawf would’ve worked more as a convergent klawf, being a literal tree, not just a tree crab a tree that’s also a crab.

KIND OF late but signature move idea for arakakara: Webbed Scimitar. Bug Move. Arakakara takes 1 turn to weave its webs into a scimitar, and deals 130 damage the next turn. The damage is doubled during harsh sunlight and charge up is reduced on Grassy Terrain.

I love that meditama's focus beads have an added effect beyond just being an evolution method, I'm not a huge fan of when items get added for the sole purpose of evolution

Don't know if anyone already stated it, but Tortank is actually already used by France to named their Blastoise.
I love the name Arakakara, the design of Meditama, maybe it also could have a mega as its counterpart Medicham (though, obviously, not all branch evolution have megas to both of them - Slowbro, Glalie; but they're cases in which both branched evolution got a mega, e.g. Gardevoir/Gallade). Barboonch is also quite great design and I even also love the mangrove Pokémon Klawrbor, though, its name is a bit difficult to pronounce.
I would just like to say for future reference that meditaion is about clearing your mind for a way to escape reality, not having your mind full at 2:13
