That's my thought. If it's a mega for a three stage line, like Charizard or whatever, that's fine. But megas for single or two stage lines are awful and should simply be new evolutions in general.

That's wgt GameFreak introduced the "Regional variant evolutions" concept. The regional formes have fixed stats that don't break when given the eviolite.
@@SilverStrumer the types may change for the earlier forms but the stats does not. Corsola Galar got crazy bulky with eviolite and strength sap and absolutely dominated the early SS singles meta.

I think Plusle and Minun should have a common baby evolution. And the baby evolves into Plusle or Minun depending on if it meets a certain gimmick requirement

You take a handful of non-evolving pokemon, many of which have been given other special treatment in the form of Megas, Gigantas, and region-specific variants, and in most cases the forms he shows are alternate designs of existing content. This video can be summed up in 1 minute, where most forms are baby pokemon, some are mega evolutions, ignoring the existing mega evolutions, and the rest are gigantamaxes pretending to be mega evolutions. Whats worse is ontop of this bare bones, lazy, and bland video on other peoples art, he has a sponsor. So he is getting money from talking about other peoples art online, without even direct mentions of the artist in the clips using their art. Those artists will never see that money, and probably wont even know their art is in this video. He never cited them in the description with links to their main pages. Or even just links to the art he downloaded for the video. Its borderline stealing, with the least amount of effort possible put into it.

Hey, i think it would be really great if you put the artists names on screen when their art is shown. Artists struggle with art theft and getting their art repostet so much, so giving good credit is really important and it makes it easier for the viewer as well. And in case an artwork is credited to the wrong person, it's also a lot easier to see, than having to go through a document. 😊

I think simply merging some of the unevolved pokemon into the same evolution line makes sense for Unown and Sigilyph, as well as Luvdisc and Alomomola. Pretty sure it has been speculated that Sigilyph and Alomomola were planned to evolve from Unown and Luvdisc respectively as well
so this is just a video from those channels who upload compilations of pokemon art. You aren't *actually* giving any new designs. You're googling "pinsir baby form", putting in a quick credit, then putting it in the video.

Nor is there even one link to an artists work, page, or username in the description. The artists are lucky if he used art that had their watermarks or signatures on them. Go to 11:10, for the Volbeat evolutions. Where does he credit the artist, where is their name, where is links to their content? Its not the only example, just the easiest since he cruises straight through it without any second thought about mentioning artists.
This comment section is very disappointed with this video... I love how I've seen most of these already long, LONG before this video. Mega Torkoal and Mega Relicanth are by Smiley_Fakemon (don't know if they changed their name since then) I'm fairly sure, at least Torkoal is I know.

@@spirityt2192 Not exactly. The evolutionary tree might gain a member, but that's not an evolution. Going backwards is called regression, not evolution. Evolution is an upgrade to what it was previously. Baby forms serve zero purpose other than to fill the dex. Nothing more. They're useless and a waste of space. At least with an evolution, you can slap on an eviolite to the middle form and make them 50% more defensive to make them more competitively viable. You can't do that with a baby form.
Make Plusle and Minun evolve into the same pokemon, whose name is a pun of Pemdas. And have it change its operand depending on battle conditions. Changing form into Multsle, Dividun, Plusle, etc.
For someone who made his own region, this was supremely disappointing. I expected a lot more. There were far too many baby Pokemon and Megas over traditional evos. And it was just googled pokemon. Kind of a waste of a video honestly

I always give channels I stumble upon 3 or so videos to woo me if they seem promising, this one has lost me. Two of the videos I watched were extremely poorly researched in terms of (basic) background knowledge necessary to discuss the subject of the videos, and this one just checks all the "don'ts" for me. Thanks, RUclips algorithm, but no thank you. I'm hoping to see improvement in the feature, because I do think that he has some good stuff going on.
First time I ever watched one of your videos. You just extend the length of the video by repeating yourself, it's just an endless loop of : - "this pokemon already has a mega evo/ couldnt find anything else" - "it's exectly what this pokemon needs" - "it would be cool to see it in the next games" - "but that's probably not happening" This video is 20 minutes of empty talk and showing a few pokemon evolution concepts you didn't even design. You didn't bring anything to the table. I hope you'll do way better for the next one. I won't watching though. PS : you even talked about milktank/tauros pre evo twice
fr this is the first time I watched his videos, after enjoying videos by other creators on similar concepts, and this was so disappointing. Not only did he do the bare minimum in crediting the artists (didn’t ask them for permission, didn’t show credit in the actual video), but he literally just says “this is a prime candidate, this would look cool” for every single mon with absolutely no original thought or exploration into the designs. And he mostly went for megas too, which aren’t even true evolutions. Oof, awful video with a confident delivery.
5:28 There's lore to the current mega, surprisingly(from what I've heard)! The pokemon in ancient times had a rock typing, and had sharp rocks as part of its body as armor. The one we revive has removed the rocks, since they didn't come with the fossil (fossils wouldn't keep the trace of rock armoring, clearly)...so the mega is actually a reaction to the mega stone and trainer's energy, giving it the appearance of its original shape!
Tbh I think mega evolution is just the original forms of pokemon in the past and their power was taken somehow and put into keystones. And to back that up the keystone are dug up from rocks or special material (as shown in Journeys with lucario's lucarionite).
I wish that they modeled skarmory on the cassowary more with that evolution. Scizor will have huge hands whilst skarmory's evo will have massive back talons. It would awesome to see a steel type gym who has bug, flying, ground, electric and other secondary typing.
As a child, I invented a Skarmory pre evo which was basically a small, armorless version of it. Kinda cool that GF decided to go that route with the Corviknight family.
I’m really disappointed with this video cause I came here expecting like someone drawing them or hiring someone to make them but in reality he’s just taking peoples art with little to no credit. No one will search through the description to the middle cramped between everything else just to find the artist you didn’t credit

Actually it wasn't the Metal Coat but rather it was the Metal Powder that was going to evolve Ditto into Animon hrnce why Wild Ditto has a 5% of holding it.
@@nikaoharbour6962 Miltank won't get a standard evolution; as a gen 2 mon, it would have been covered in this video, not to mention Hoops has given Miltank and Tauros a common pre-evolution.
I need to add that back when GS first came out, a friend of mine tried to convince me that Shuckle evolved into a Pokémon named Shelltur, which quite frankly is a perfectly fitting name

If you check out a fan game made by Thundaga called Pokemon Splice, his team made a bunch of prevos for some of the pokemon in the video like pinsir, heracross, tauros/miltank, skarmory, and lapras. His team also made a 'regional variant' and evolution of that variant for dunsparce. Another evolution he made was for shuckle called Shuckavern, an evo for Skarmory called Scartillery, and a bunch more.
Zangoose and Seviper need evoultions, not pre-evos. I've always thought that they both lacked something, mostly in strenght, so giving them evoultions would fix that. For Zangoose's evo - Add the Steel type to it and give it longer but Metal claws, also fangs. make it body more longer and Weasel like as it is a FERRET (well mongoose) not a cat. For seviper's evo - Add the Dragon type to it, and more like seprent in apperence, Maybe like a python. A long noodley snake dragon. Zangoose being prey survived by becoming immune to poison, so logically Zangoose's evo should gain Steel type to defend against Seviper's evo poison and dragon type.
Ive never been into non-evolving pokemon that much. Since my favorite part of Pokemon is evolution and filling up my dex, non-evolvers just go into a box while I train and evolve other Pokemon.
I do really love baby Pokémon, but I feel you went a lot over the top with them, where Pokémon such as carnivine and absol mor or less deserve to be evolveable. Same with the Pokémon you gave new megas

Honestly in my opinion the Unown mega evo missed the mark. In my opinion, Unown is our angel Pokemon, but with the bizarre, biblical designs in place of your average cherub. There’s plenty to go off of with that. I’d imagine there would be four forms, (plus a possible fifth demon form, which I’d imagine would resemble the Unown king creepypasta.) you’d have four more forms of unown, each with its own evolution. The would each represent members of the creation trio, including Arceus. The four unique unown forms would resemble Arceus’s fence, Dialga’s dial, Palkias shoulders and the crescent crest on Girantinas forehead. To evolve them, you’d need to capture all 28 of the regular unown forms and go to a specific spot. There, they would merge and evolve. The evolution would have a stick figure like body but would have large, gauntlet like hands, a hole in the middle of its body and angular legs. It’d have skeletal wings and it’s body would have a starry texture, which would normally be black but would instead be purple for it’s shiny. It’s head would be a large eye with 4 pupils facing different directions that can move around the head independently of one another. It would also have a halo that would correspond to the symbol it took the appearance of in its unevolved form.
I can't believe you didn't mention this... Kangaskhan literally hatches with a baby... that makes no sense! Give it a pre-evolution that's basically just the baby on it's own - after all, that's clearly what this species' young look like.
Lapras is one of those Pokemon I would have loved to see a Pre-Evolution, Evolution, or Mega Evolution for years ago, but now I find myself prefering for it to get a Regional Variant. When Alolan Forms were first introduced, prior to seeing the player surfing on a Lapras, I was hoping for an Alolan Lapras, a Water/Fire type with a small volcano on its back. The lore could have been that the Alolan Islands were created by a Lapras, and that Wela Volcano was this ancient Lapras. When SwSh were teased and we figured out it was going to be based on England, I was hoping for a Lochness inspired Regional Variant, but again out of luck. Lapras is one of those mons that GF has never truely forgotten, but is reluctant to do anything special with, which is unfortunate because it is a genuinley awesome Pokemon design. When it comes to the Fossil Pokemon like Aerodactyl, i would honestly prefer not to give them any more Evolutions, or Mega Evolution, but rather a function that would revert them to their true natural state. With the exclusion of the Gen8 jigsaw Fossils, every Fossil Pokemon is a Primary Rock due to having been revived from a fossil, making them only partially what they originally were. Imagine finding out what type they would originally have been and what they would have originally looked like(Obviously very similar to their original but altered similarly to a regional variant) I certainly agree that Pokemon like Castform and Rotom will likely never get an evolution, but I certainly think they deserve something. Of the two, I think Castform would be most deserving of an Evolution, giving it the secondary typing of Flying, which just makes sense, baring that give it a new form for Sandstorm, i know its supposed to be based on a water molecule, but still, why leave out the only other weather condition?(Aside from Fog and Delta Stream) As for Rotom, it doesnt need an Evolution, Mega Evolution, or Gigantamax, rather give it more forms, more appliances to inhabit. Lets say an Arcade machine or some sort of digital workout equipment for the Fighting Type or a bug zapper for Bug Type? Hell, lets let it inhabit an old busted Gen1 Pokedex to become Psychic. On a separate note, when are we going to get a moth that functions like Castform, but for Terrains? and im not just talking Galarian Stunfisk, im talking form changes, sounds like something GF would do.
lol if rotom gets a mega, it should inhabit a gigantic mech suit made out of the applicances or whatever it could possess so we'll get a washing machine for one arm, an oven for another, it'll fly with a giant fan, etc.

Apparently some folks,even though they call them fans or super fans or experts in Pokémon features for some reason, that mega evos/OR forms(which I suppose it's better definition or designation of it) changes as much as an ordinary evo. AND don't now much about that they don't altered that much in appearance other than their respective type(s) (sometimes not),abilities,moves(many does) and base stats and just look like temporary upgraded version of its previously, yet still the overall permanent fully evolved form or single Pokémon that happened to possess a temporary - upgraded looking ( in which the majority do agree that they do) - mega form,that's all into it. The same can be applied to Gigantamax forms,but just larger with unchanged base states(for some weird and unknown reason.Still some say or describe them being "stronger" than their basic or original form??Unknown help me out here, regarding that?..lol) types, gaining a signature/special move and a misplaced random red or blue cloud around them.. Therefore,I'd still go for megas as the best alternatives to ordinary evos at the end of the day and I SINCERELY hope they - Gamefreak/ the Pokémon company - reimplement them again in the next gen., alongside with some new permanent evos,too,who aren't necessarily are given to the basic form of an certain Pokémon's alternate regional variant/form, which it's kinda ok, if they only do that as well,instead....Good that that's been settled down and clarified once for all,I suppose😅😅😉🤘😌✌🌈💎
My favorite two Pokémon for the most amount of potential are Dunsparse and Castform: 1. For Dunsparse, it could use a regional variant of where it is a Ground Type Pokémon instead of a Normal Type, since I do believe Dunsparse is a serpent/snake Pokémon. And then the regional Dunsparse could evolve into a Fairy/Ground Type Pokémon called Serpixscarce(Combination of the words "serpent", "pixie", and "scarce"). Fairy/Ground Type is a duel typing that is currently unused, but it has resistances to Electric _and_ Dragon types, two really good and strong typings to resist. Plus combining Fairy and Ground Type moves makes it so the Pokémon can only deal normal or super effective damage. So an evolution, a delta form, and reginal variant combined could help give Dunsparse a major glow up. 2. Looking into Castform's special ability, it has potential to be a good Pokémon since Forecast already makes it special. Because of Forecast, based on the weather the Pokémon is in Castform can change it's typing. This would be so good for Castform... if it wasn't such a weak Pokémon in terms of stats. Obviously the first thing to help buff Castform would be to give it an evolution, heck I say give Castform two evolutions. Like the two evolutions after Castform could be Specmutate(Combo of "speculate" and "mutate") and Prophcloaltr(Combo of "prophesy", "cloud", and "alter"). And then a "Sandy" form and a "Thundering" form for the new Castform family could also help as well. A Castform family member during sandstorm weather could turn into its "Sandy" form, which would turn it into a Ground Type Pokémon. For as weak as Castform can be sometimes, turning it into a Ground Type would help boost its attack and defense by a very good amount. And a Castform family member during thunderstorm weather could turn into its "Thundering" form, which would turn it into a Electric Type Pokémon. An Electric Type Castform would benefit from it's special attack boost and speed boost fairly well. Maybe then Castform could finally get some love and attention instead of being roasted by the community.

Its based on a serpent yokai/cryptid thats fat and highly venomous. Always thought it should have a poison dragon evo.

Hey, i think it would be really great if you put the artists names on screen when their art is shown. Artists struggle with art theft and getting their art repostet so much, so giving good credit is really important and it makes it easier for the viewer as well. And in case an artwork is credited to the wrong person, it's also a lot easier to see, than having to go through a document. 😊

Evolution is an upgrade to what it was previously. Baby forms serve zero purpose other than to fill the dex. Nothing more. They're useless and a waste of space. At least with an evolution, you can slap on an eviolite to the middle form and make them 50% more defensive to make them more competitively viable. You can't do that with a baby form.

I always give channels I stumble upon 3 or so videos to woo me if they seem promising, this one has lost me. Two of the videos I watched were extremely poorly researched in terms of (basic) background knowledge necessary to discuss the subject of the videos, and this one just checks all the "don'ts" for me. Thanks, RUclips algorithm, but no thank you. I'm hoping to see improvement in the feature, because I do think that he has some good stuff going on.

- "it's exectly what this pokemon needs"
- "it would be cool to see it in the next games"

fr this is the first time I watched his videos, after enjoying videos by other creators on similar concepts, and this was so disappointing. Not only did he do the bare minimum in crediting the artists (didn’t ask them for permission, didn’t show credit in the actual video), but he literally just says “this is a prime candidate, this would look cool” for every single mon with absolutely no original thought or exploration into the designs. And he mostly went for megas too, which aren’t even true evolutions. Oof, awful video with a confident delivery.

There's lore to the current mega, surprisingly(from what I've heard)! The pokemon in ancient times had a rock typing, and had sharp rocks as part of its body as armor. The one we revive has removed the rocks, since they didn't come with the fossil (fossils wouldn't keep the trace of rock armoring, clearly)...so the mega is actually a reaction to the mega stone and trainer's energy, giving it the appearance of its original shape!
Tbh I think mega evolution is just the original forms of pokemon in the past and their power was taken somehow and put into keystones. And to back that up the keystone are dug up from rocks or special material (as shown in Journeys with lucario's lucarionite).

If you check out a fan game made by Thundaga called Pokemon Splice, his team made a bunch of prevos for some of the pokemon in the video like pinsir, heracross, tauros/miltank, skarmory, and lapras. His team also made a 'regional variant' and evolution of that variant for dunsparce. Another evolution he made was for shuckle called Shuckavern, an evo for Skarmory called Scartillery, and a bunch more.
Zangoose and Seviper need evoultions, not pre-evos. I've always thought that they both lacked something, mostly in strenght, so giving them evoultions would fix that.
For Zangoose's evo - Add the Steel type to it and give it longer but Metal claws, also fangs. make it body more longer and Weasel like as it is a FERRET (well mongoose) not a cat.
For seviper's evo - Add the Dragon type to it, and more like seprent in apperence, Maybe like a python. A long noodley snake dragon.
Zangoose being prey survived by becoming immune to poison, so logically Zangoose's evo should gain Steel type to defend against Seviper's evo poison and dragon type.

Ive never been into non-evolving pokemon that much. Since my favorite part of Pokemon is evolution and filling up my dex, non-evolvers just go into a box while I train and evolve other Pokemon.

Honestly in my opinion the Unown mega evo missed the mark. In my opinion, Unown is our angel Pokemon, but with the bizarre, biblical designs in place of your average cherub. There’s plenty to go off of with that. I’d imagine there would be four forms, (plus a possible fifth demon form, which I’d imagine would resemble the Unown king creepypasta.) you’d have four more forms of unown, each with its own evolution. The would each represent members of the creation trio, including Arceus. The four unique unown forms would resemble Arceus’s fence, Dialga’s dial, Palkias shoulders and the crescent crest on Girantinas forehead. To evolve them, you’d need to capture all 28 of the regular unown forms and go to a specific spot. There, they would merge and evolve. The evolution would have a stick figure like body but would have large, gauntlet like hands, a hole in the middle of its body and angular legs. It’d have skeletal wings and it’s body would have a starry texture, which would normally be black but would instead be purple for it’s shiny. It’s head would be a large eye with 4 pupils facing different directions that can move around the head independently of one another. It would also have a halo that would correspond to the symbol it took the appearance of in its unevolved form.

I can't believe you didn't mention this... Kangaskhan literally hatches with a baby... that makes no sense! Give it a pre-evolution that's basically just the baby on it's own - after all, that's clearly what this species' young look like.
The algo recommended this video and man. It's pretty fun to see speculation on some of these pokemon that did, in fact, end up getting evolutions!
Lapras is one of those Pokemon I would have loved to see a Pre-Evolution, Evolution, or Mega Evolution for years ago, but now I find myself prefering for it to get a Regional Variant. When Alolan Forms were first introduced, prior to seeing the player surfing on a Lapras, I was hoping for an Alolan Lapras, a Water/Fire type with a small volcano on its back. The lore could have been that the Alolan Islands were created by a Lapras, and that Wela Volcano was this ancient Lapras. When SwSh were teased and we figured out it was going to be based on England, I was hoping for a Lochness inspired Regional Variant, but again out of luck. Lapras is one of those mons that GF has never truely forgotten, but is reluctant to do anything special with, which is unfortunate because it is a genuinley awesome Pokemon design.
When it comes to the Fossil Pokemon like Aerodactyl, i would honestly prefer not to give them any more Evolutions, or Mega Evolution, but rather a function that would revert them to their true natural state. With the exclusion of the Gen8 jigsaw Fossils, every Fossil Pokemon is a Primary Rock due to having been revived from a fossil, making them only partially what they originally were. Imagine finding out what type they would originally have been and what they would have originally looked like(Obviously very similar to their original but altered similarly to a regional variant)
I certainly agree that Pokemon like Castform and Rotom will likely never get an evolution, but I certainly think they deserve something. Of the two, I think Castform would be most deserving of an Evolution, giving it the secondary typing of Flying, which just makes sense, baring that give it a new form for Sandstorm, i know its supposed to be based on a water molecule, but still, why leave out the only other weather condition?(Aside from Fog and Delta Stream) As for Rotom, it doesnt need an Evolution, Mega Evolution, or Gigantamax, rather give it more forms, more appliances to inhabit. Lets say an Arcade machine or some sort of digital workout equipment for the Fighting Type or a bug zapper for Bug Type? Hell, lets let it inhabit an old busted Gen1 Pokedex to become Psychic.
On a separate note, when are we going to get a moth that functions like Castform, but for Terrains? and im not just talking Galarian Stunfisk, im talking form changes, sounds like something GF would do.

Apparently some folks,even though they call them fans or super fans or experts in Pokémon features for some reason, that mega evos/OR forms(which I suppose it's better definition or designation of it) changes as much as an ordinary evo. AND don't now much about that they don't altered that much in appearance other than their respective type(s) (sometimes not),abilities,moves(many does) and base stats and just look like temporary upgraded version of its previously, yet still the overall permanent fully evolved form or single Pokémon that happened to possess a temporary - upgraded looking ( in which the majority do agree that they do) - mega form,that's all into it.
The same can be applied to Gigantamax forms,but just larger with unchanged base states(for some weird and unknown reason.Still some say or describe them being "stronger" than their basic or original form??Unknown help me out here, regarding that?..lol) types, gaining a signature/special move and a misplaced random red or blue cloud around them..
Therefore,I'd still go for megas as the best alternatives to ordinary evos at the end of the day and I SINCERELY hope they - Gamefreak/ the Pokémon company - reimplement them again in the next gen., alongside with some new permanent evos,too,who aren't necessarily are given to the basic form of an certain Pokémon's alternate regional variant/form, which it's kinda ok, if they only do that as well,instead....Good that that's been settled down and clarified once for all,I suppose😅😅😉🤘😌✌🌈💎

I think some of the Megas should be standard evolutions.
My favorite two Pokémon for the most amount of potential are Dunsparse and Castform:
1. For Dunsparse, it could use a regional variant of where it is a Ground Type Pokémon instead of a Normal Type, since I do believe Dunsparse is a serpent/snake Pokémon. And then the regional Dunsparse could evolve into a Fairy/Ground Type Pokémon called Serpixscarce(Combination of the words "serpent", "pixie", and "scarce"). Fairy/Ground Type is a duel typing that is currently unused, but it has resistances to Electric _and_ Dragon types, two really good and strong typings to resist. Plus combining Fairy and Ground Type moves makes it so the Pokémon can only deal normal or super effective damage. So an evolution, a delta form, and reginal variant combined could help give Dunsparse a major glow up.
2. Looking into Castform's special ability, it has potential to be a good Pokémon since Forecast already makes it special. Because of Forecast, based on the weather the Pokémon is in Castform can change it's typing. This would be so good for Castform... if it wasn't such a weak Pokémon in terms of stats. Obviously the first thing to help buff Castform would be to give it an evolution, heck I say give Castform two evolutions. Like the two evolutions after Castform could be Specmutate(Combo of "speculate" and "mutate") and Prophcloaltr(Combo of "prophesy", "cloud", and "alter"). And then a "Sandy" form and a "Thundering" form for the new Castform family could also help as well. A Castform family member during sandstorm weather could turn into its "Sandy" form, which would turn it into a Ground Type Pokémon. For as weak as Castform can be sometimes, turning it into a Ground Type would help boost its attack and defense by a very good amount. And a Castform family member during thunderstorm weather could turn into its "Thundering" form, which would turn it into a Electric Type Pokémon. An Electric Type Castform would benefit from it's special attack boost and speed boost fairly well. Maybe then Castform could finally get some love and attention instead of being roasted by the community.
Some of the evolutions and pre-evolution look really cool, the unknowns evolution looks kinda freaky
