Fantastic video Sam, really helped make my decision to cut the panels open to get the cooling sorted, that's such a drop in temp just from those two cuts, thanks man...
These frames are so fun to upgrade. I just took my bike completely apart in my livingroom to mod for the winter. New QS205 V3ti 650 turn 5t motor, it’s at a motorcycle shop as we speak getting laced with powder coated stainless steel 8ga spokes on my 26in anodized rim. New Shimano Ice Tech floating rotor, rotar bolts, tire, rim liner, Kevlar tire liner, new Honda seat, turn signals, new Tron wheel lights, new motorcycle headlight/horn/turn signal switch, etc. It’s going to be a whole new bike. 💸💸💸
I agree. I’ve always wanted to build/restore a car/motorcycle but always had cost/space/special tool obstacles. I’ve been building an ebike this Minnesota winter. I can do this in our basement without making an huge mess. It’s been a fun challenge. I’m already planning my next build.
Welcome back, it's been a long I heard or seen anything from you. I got the same bike and at the moment trying to install signal lights to my bike but having a bit of a problems with the know how.
Wow was not expecting those results, I will follow suit and do something similar, cheers. This frame is strong but not endurable enough for mad crazy off-road, maybe the mainframe but the swingarm has been shown to be of weak design for heavy impacts. Great for roading or gravel trails and high speeds, but there are other chunky frames out there for different purposes.
Hello and thank you, that is not a bad idea I may do that. There is not much of a trick to it I use the hose just being careful not to get water inside the frame or on the screen. Then I use some car soap and carefully rinse it off
Hello I would say it is water resistant but not waterproof, I never taken the bike out in the rain but I have washed it down with a hose on several occasions and have not had any problems I do keep the water away from the screen though.
@@samjohnson517 that was a thought of mine. Then may be the way to go is full on custom kit from various parts and custom brackets. Hey Sam, you might want to look into a Fox X2 or Rock Shox Super Deluxe air shock they are pretty much Infinity adjustable then you won't have to deal with all the different spring rates when setting suspension sag.
That would be the way to go for sure, Ian kind of looking around a different frame designs this one's so heavy it kind of fragile in a way. I feel like I would have damaged no matter what suspension I put on there.

Great video, where did you get your parts? Specifically the frame, I've seen Alibaba, but it seems there no way of knowing what quality or if you will even receive it. Thx again for the info. Keep up the good work 👍
I just got my bike from alibaba. They're honest people. Same bike you see here. The only problem I had is not really with them but with the problems we had with the port and because chain supply issue it takes me quite a while to get the bike even though it's been sitting here at the port for a very long time and the only thing I wish I could do is to put a little more money to get a better bike with bigger battery and motor. I test mine compared to a 12000W, mine 3000W, it just blew me away and the range....I just don't know where the guy goes...lol. It's quite fun though...it sort of bring back the kid in me.
If your having overheating problems painting your battery box White would probably drop the temp up to 20-30 degrees in sunny conditions. I live in the hottest part of the US. You don’t just touch dark colored cars left in the sun . The sun alone can shut down your phone Yeah, there are other colors that I like but my car and my bike are white.

I wanna be the first to try it…I’m gonna start with removing the speed controller case and build a air tight plastic holder and hoses going into a tiny radiator’ these can be purchased anywhere…many computer shops have them’ in Theory…it should be able to keep the speed controller cooler….any non-conducted fluid can be used. I’m gonna start doing live testing on a cheap controller….Meant for 48v and use a 72volt battery instead…Another idea came up’ to keep the speed controller cooler…make the controller case leak proof and tap some Hose nozzles into it and run that to a tiny radiator with a pump the vegetable oil and the natural air….get both worlds. My next trial will be for the hub motor, then the battery.
Oh yes I'm sure it's fine however when I was riding in 90° weather I'm sure it was pretty close to voltage limit temperature I think the slots will keep it cooler and help it live a little longer
