I can totally understand your feelings on this, it made me cry from inside after watching link say it to his kid. I imagined my parents holding me tight and saying the same thing to me. I'd die to experience that in next birth if that's possible.

Cause Link got love as a kid from his mom which is a sweetheart. But Rhett's mom and dad are very serious people and Rhett said it before they don't show love and appreciate each other. He grew up not knowing it. I think him showing this much is showing he's trying his best.

Watching link interact w his kids in general makes me cry every time. He’s a picture perfect father by the way he interacts with them. He’s so verbal with his affection and He respects them so much I WILL CRY! I hope one day I find someone like link. I wish I had a dad like him

It's poignant when you consider that Link's dad was mostly absent in his life; he's said before that it was mostly Link's mom and paternal grandpa who raised him. To me, this is what it looks like when someone actively chooses to break the cycle of neglectful or hurtful parenting. Link pours love for his kids into everything he says to them and that's so sweet.
@@hgdellinger I'm glad he does. because MY dad gets mad over everything, packing tape, no ketchup, the type of shows I watch. he is always looking for ways to get mad at my brother, it's like my dad hates him. :( :( :( :( :(

That's why you babysit or just work with kids in a professional setting (preferably outside of schools). That way you can have fun with the kid, then send them home to the parents at the end of the day, if they are ill, or if they are having a bad day and want to misbehave.

It's part of Rhett's 'bit'. He tries to come across as really tough and hard but it's just an act. And Shepherd knows it. They have the same sense of very dry humor.
Link is like that weird dad that tried so hard to fit in but is still having the time of his life and Rhett is just the lego dad who will be buying legos for his son when he’s 22 just so he can make the lego set with him.
