I'm in love with Sam Elliot's presence and intelligent acting. He did a terrific job in a a slow pace movie where it is so easy to lose track, still I was hooked from start to finish. You cant buy charisma.
This was literally written for Sam, and it feels like they just gave him an alias in this movie. Thank you. Beautiful movie.

There was always something interesting about Sam Elliot. I have never watched him in a lead role. This looks it's gonna touch my heart. Definitely seeing this day one and reviewing it on my channel.

A pretty honest sheen to this trailer .During the dialogue it feels like you are in the room

Corner Entertainment, Bad oh man I hope your right. This (at least the way it's marketed ) looks a lot like Crazy Heart 2 which is a good good thing. I just wonder if a summer release is such a good idea. This is definitely an "oscar bait" trailer so why not do exactly what the makers of Crazy Heart did; secure a solid distribution deal and release it during awards season? Sam should have been nominated for "We were Soldiers", "The Contender" and especially "Off the Map". Kristofferson would have been great in this role as well. Bloodworth was good but lacked the budget. He deserves a project like this as well. Hey how about a film WITH Sam?
The movie was really all him--I didn't think the plot was particularly new or exciting and it was more just about his character and acting. His is the first performance of the year that seems remotely worthy of the Oscar, though it's still extremely early. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Great film. California Zen thing going in it. The music was great, also Zen-like. Great story. The very good looking girl from "That 70s Show", Laura Prepon, looks very beautiful and natural in this movie.

please please let this be as good as it looks! Sam Elliot is a truly great (and underrated ) actor in the Spencer Tracy style. No histrionics just honest simple and ultimately moving work. This could be his "Crazy Heart". It sure is marketed the same way but who cares as long as it gets Sam a nomination. Maybe it should be released in the fall?
