You what I will say this that the bass player is right on fuckin time with the drummer and I play bass and I have a mean passion and such respect for the instrument 🎸 cause of it's beauty and sound that it gives the world amen
That baseline is the shit and we used to ride to the mission street in San Pancho and the bass just kept on bumping out of control you how many girls were going through homey god bless our lives and the rest of the nation and I play the bass so I can relate to the entire sound of everything that is going on man
Song Released May 1970(Recorded April 1970)on Motown’s Gordy Records Label as Gordy 7099 and recorded at Motown’s Detroit Studios and written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong and mixed by Tom Moulton
A very deep collage of images that I remember as a youngster in 1970, and a time of many emotions. For a few, it was a time of uncertainty and the hope was the extreme involvement of all types of people. A time when voices progressed ahead because a few of us are still here.
And plenty of bass just listen to the sound of the strong frets being plucked you don't have any idea how good that sounds to me just three simple notes and some good freting to get it started
Written in 1970. And here we are 53 years later in 2023. Thank you for posting this. Good luck everyone. God bless you all.

It's been 53 years since this song was released and in 2023 the world is still a major ball of confusion.

Simply timeless song and absolutely true, nothing much has changed, there's still a lot to be done. Cheers from Chile.
