Oh my god i love him. I have always wanted a regular. But kinda on a wait due to having an iguana that is really kinda having a hard time adapting. All my attention has to be with him till he feels safe. An confirmable. But live your videos awesome man !!!

Do you have a enclosure for blue or does he just free roam your house? If so how do you manage his humility?
He spends the majority of his time in an 8’x4’x6’ foot grow tent that’s yet to debut on the channel - it’s a lot easier to maintain humidity in a tent. He comes out every few days to roam the house, eat, and bask

Does blue hibernate? I just bought a tegu (hybrid b/w & red) and i'm curious about you thoughts on the subject.
He brumates, which is about the same thing. He's doing so right now - just sleeps for about four days at a time and comes out to eat and drink.

It’s a good question, couldn’t say for sure. They could probably take a little one. They can eat rattlesnakes so long as they kill them first
New sub here. Love ur videos. Blue is such a sweetheart. I saw the video that said u caught him in Florida I believe as a baby. How long did it take u to get him to really trust you? Amazing!!
I'm lucky enough that he's been pretty docile from the beginning. I gave him food and water and never really did anything to scare him after I got him in the car. It can take time for some to learn trust, but food and gentle body language helps.

What temperature water do you use for him? Warm or room temperature or what?
It was like 100 degrees out that day so it was cool room temperature water

What size enclosure is your tegu in ??
He has an 8'x4'x6' grow tent and gets to roam the house and yard every few days - the enclosure still needs a couple components before its RUclips debut but it works great so far.

Afroherpkeeper, just a question, is it ok to combine zoomed forest floor and dry eco earth for a corn snake enclosure? Also, can snakes die from shock if you change their substrate so suddenly?
Yes to the substrate (though try to keep it from getting dusty) and definitely not to the shock

Nothing major will happen, but it can be irritating to snakes and lizards. Excessive sneezing is a good indicator. It’s not hard to keep it from getting dusty, just don’t let it stay bone-dry. Mist it every couple days or so, if you can, depending on the humidity needs of the species

He is an Argentine black and white tegu, Salvator merianae. He doesn't bite and he's pretty tame, but not every individual is - they should be worked with from a young age. He eats ground turkey, quail eggs, wet cat food, rodents, fish, berries, and fruits
