Wonderfull. ! Dada will we get the aluminum profile for a 30 inches tank.
Yes, any length is available, just tell the seller the length you need and he will cut the profile to that length.
Dada I am from Mumbai. Here the aluminium shops decline having this and in Amazon can't get the correct size.
I bought it from Chandni Market, Kolkata
Dada, if I make the 4th in your list for a 90 to 110 CM tank. There are 33 leds. So all of them will be in series. You have mentioned a driver, for 600ma and 110 watts. What will be the voltage? 600ma will be sufficient?
The 110 watt driver is not available online here, so you can find it on the market. Besides, you can also use three 600mA 26-36W LED drivers ( amzn.to/36JjsNM ) and connect the LEDs accordingly. According to option 4, you need a total of 33 LEDs of 3 watts. Thus, total wattage = 99 watts. Now, divide them into three parts, i.e. 11 LEDs (33w) + 11 LEDs (33w) + 11 LEDs (33w)
And connect each LED driver to each series of LEDs.
Loved the idea and approach bro, but instead of using feviquick to stick led to profile i would have recommended to use heatsink paste and nutbolts, feviquick can withstand high temps but will deteriorate over time, also feviquick itself is bad conductor of heat so heat transfer will not be at its best, provided few vent holes is profile will keep the air flowing as well, im a custom hightech led light designer, above are just my views rest the video is super osm wish u success ahead bro ❤️
Thanks for the idea!
it's a nice and easy to understand video, but the aluminium brackets of this kind won't be available here
Thank you. You can ask at any electrical goods store, they will tell you where to get it.
How long the diy lights..last sir any update thanks..iam your new subscribers now...it help a lot in my tank even your diy aquaruim soil...
It is difficult to predict how long electronic things will last. If good quality materials are used then it will last for years. The lights I made are still working great. Thanks.

Hi sir, since its been a yea,r can you give us an update on how well the plants grew under this DIY WRGB aquarium light and if there would be any changes that you would like to make to this DIY project, it would be really healpful
You can watch my 'Dutch Style Aquascape' video to see how well the plants grew in this light. Now I'm using this light on a newly planted tank setup. I will upload the video after a month or two.
@@madebykm Awesome... Thank you sir... Looking forward to the video
👍
This is awesome!! Thanks for sharing dada. Have you tried to put a dimmer on this in case we need to reduce the intensity?
I didn't try to add a dimmer to it because I made this light according to the size of my high tech planted aquarium. That tank needed that much intensity of light. But a dimmer can easily be added to this light. See the description box for more information. Thank you.
@@madebykm Dada thanks a lot for taking the time to answer this comment. Truly appreciate it.
No problem 👍
Amezing work 👏👏🎊🥳
And how to buy led bulb 💡, do you have link
Please see the video description for links and more information. Thanks.
Superb build sir, Need your help to calculate the Powersupply for 36x 3W LEDs. please reply
You need to use three 600mA constant current 36W-50W LED drivers ( amzn.to/3TERshO ) and connect the LEDs accordingly. You have a total of 36 LEDs of 3 watts. Thus, total wattage = 108 watts. Now, divide them into three parts, i.e. 12 LEDs (36w) + 12 LEDs (36w) + 12 LEDs (36w)
And connect each LED driver to each series of LEDs.
@@madebykm I will try this. Thank you for quick reply.
👍
@@madebykm is it possible to have single 120W driver to power all 36 LEDs?
If a 600mA constant current LED driver with 120W output power is available, you can use it.
Can you provide a link for the beads that you have used?
I bought the LED beads from a nearby LED lighting shop. There are some online purchase links available in the description; however, some of these are significantly overpriced.
What will be overall cost of DIY light for 2.5 ft tank size
Can you tell me the name of the white sheet you used to cover the led , maybe toprotect the light from water evaporation.. please tell me the name
A cover that acts as a light diffuser is included with the aluminum profile, so there is no requirement to buy it separately.

@@madebykm hi can you make 1 for me.. Wrgb... 1500 to 2000 lumens.... Size 2ft .. Quantity required 2
Brother, I make all these DIY things according to my needs and upload videos for the benefit of the people, so that they can make these things at home on their own and save some money. But I don't make and sell things. Moreover, I work at a software development company, so I have very little spare time.
Hello, big fan of your works …I have one feet nano tank, btw how many LEDs should I use for 1 feet tank.??its a high tech Dutch scape 5:13
Excellent job.. Kudos.. But Making DIY too costly.
Thanks. However, it is much cheaper than a branded WRGB LED light.
For 3/1.5/1.3 ft (L/H/W) the combination of led required?
Sir plss help me...can i use power supply 24v 10 amp....to supply the wats..how many COB lights i will use...i buy 3.2v 3W cob like yours....
No, you need to use a 600mA constant current LED driver / power supply. Check the description box for the link.
Can u make a video covering 30watt led strip inside the same panel and does 30 watt or from how much watt heat sinks and cooling fans are required as u didnt install cooling fans in this video...but thanks alot bro
Yes, I will make that video also. The LED profile I used is also a kind of heatsink. It absorbs heat from the LEDs and dissipates it into the surrounding air. As a result, the panel remains cool. So, there is no need for extra cooling fans here.
Hi kaushik.my planted tank length is 4 ft.with 150 litres water capacity.plz guide me the ratio of wrgb beads. Can i have two strips instead of one?
Bro, do feviquick can bear heat of light? Please let me know
Yes, no problem
Superb Sir and i tried DIY canister , it worked
Some leakage issue but i used silicon layer to recover it
You are great sir
I will try this too
But material is not available in Pune ordinary shops
That’s great! You can check out the video description for some product links. Thank you.
Also can you put light on the aluminium profile (what it is called) and the other aluminium side blocker and the one used in the steel rod
Yes, you’ll need to mount the LED COB on a heatsink or an aluminum profile to dissipate heat and you’ll also need to use cooling fans as these lights generate a lot of heat.
How many led should be used for 30cm cube
White
Red
Green

This is for planted aquarium.
Bro, just wanted know how it's different from the branded rgb lights like twinstar, chihirios? They tend to change the colour of green plants to reddish. Thanks
First of all this light is very cheap and this light can be customized as per our requirements. Here, the number of red, blue and green LED chips can be reduced and the number of white LEDs can be increased and a beautiful spectrum can be created where all the colors of plants and fish can be seen more accurately.

Hi there, I want to make this light for a 18x14x16 inch (LxWxH) tank. How many light diodes will I need and how many of each will I need? Also, should I put thermal paste under each light to help with heat reduction? Or there is no need to? Finally, how can I reduce the separation of colours? Like the disco ball effect? I can see the individual light colors, so what can I do to get rid of that effect? Please let me know, thank you! I want to use this light for a high tech tank and also carpeting plants.
You need 8 White LEDs, 3 Red LEDs, 4 Green LEDs, and 1 Blue LED. Total LEDs (3w) = 16 (48w). So, you need to use a 600mA constant current LED driver with an output power of 48w (at least).
Yes, you should apply thermal paste under each LED bead and heatsink.
If you use the plastic diffuser (white color) all the colors of the light will mix and you will not see the separation of the colors of the light.
