Nope, this definitely happens to me as well! Sometimes I feel like I can be a bit too creative and my piece ends up being more of a stream of conscious type of thing. It can be the frustrating if you want to focus on narrative T-----T On another note, I love this type of content! This video was like sipping chocolate on a cold Winter night. Lovely.

Hi Leora, it was so cool to watch this! I loved hearing about your process and your passion for this project and writing in general was so palpable. Definitely relate to the excitement and vulnerability of writing. Regarding essay collections, I also really liked "Notes to Self" by Emilie Pine, and "Modern Love" which is a collection of essays published in the NYT where people could send in their stories about all different kinds of love.

Hi! Fellow dutchy here. I've been writing for years and the one tip that has helped me massively is: don't read or analyse other peoples work WHILST writing. It is great for a rewriting proces or in between projects, but reading and writing at the same time gives me major comparison issues, which lead to self-doubt. This is my own experience of course, but thought I'd give you this tip
Add: This is not to tell you you're doing it wrong, every writer is different haha. Just my experience :)
i really relate to your feelings about sharing your writing - it’s so vulnerable yet so liberating! definitely commend and acknowledge the courage it takes to share a project like this :)

This is so inspiring! In fact, everything you do as a freelancer is so inspiring to me. It's something I want to do too. I am actually currently writing a short story for the first time since I was a kid and it is TERRIFYING! And I'm also filming my first writing vlog!

I'm working on the second one in my series! The first is published already and absolutely feel that nudge from people to write. Honestly, the pressure has been getting to me. This inspired me, thank you for being vulnerable and putting this out there! We can do it!!

hi! thank you!! not sure if I will, because I love focussing on books, reading and writing and just showing my work in passing every now and then, but maybe something for in the future if there's more interest in it!
Your project is reminding me a lot of "Women Don't Owe You Pretty" in terms of the multi-media/feminist/personal stories vibe! I would recommend maybe reading that!
I've read it in 2020! I liked it, but what I'm going for is more reminiscent of Dolly Alderton's Everything I Know About Love but then with illustrations/chapbook like.

Mine is actually just temporarily online due to covid restrictions! but I go to Writer’s Guide to the Galaxy in Rotterdam. If I were you I’d just google around and see what is in your area!
