    I'm one of the people who hit that late 90-180 end of the rotation. Gonna give your last tip a shot!

    Dude I used to be a gymnastics coach and you are an awesome coach.
    The Tantrum is a layout back sault on the water. Its not a tantrum unless your hips are open when entering the rotation.
    You close your hips to KILL the rotation for landing and this is why so many can't land them. The further they arch their back the faster they get around.

    Biggest tip that helped me on tantrum was push the handle down and out. It’s easy to try and flip with your arms but in doing so you bring the handle up to your ear and lose height on the trick

    Gonna use these tips and compare to my failed tantrum attemps. I am really close like the videos but i lack a bit of rotation. Also i dont have any arial awareness which makes it more difficult. Last time i really hurt my ankle badly so i am a bit scared to try it again. Thanks for the tips though.

    I've been doing the akam a bunch, landing my tantrums with my nose on the air and most of the landing on my back foot, I'll put more weight on my front foot and keep myself more parallel!

    Wow. This video series is great. Thanks so much for doing this. If possible, I'd like to see TS backroll. I just can't seem to do that one. I'll email a video to you. Also, I'd have my wife send a video in, but she's a bit newer at it and is still mastering wake to wake!

    Also about the last tip, if I tend to do 180 while doing toeside backroll can trying a tantrum help? Or maybe switch TS backroll 🙄

    David, thanks a lot for your videos! 👍
    Still can't land a tantrum, need your advice )
    Another question, what boat speed do you recommend to try a tantrum? 20 MPH: water is quite soft, but the jump is not high enough, 24 MPH is scary to take off

    • @DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder
      @DavidOCaoimhWakeboarder  3 года назад +2

      No problem I Maxim.
      Hmmm boat speed is always a risky one for me to give advice on as every single boat is different! But from what you’re saying, I’d maybe advise 22 and 20 is too slow and 24 is too fast!
