- Ever wondered what goes on during the winter months at our stately homes? We'll tell you, a whole load of cleaning and important conservation work. In this video, we go behind the curtain, or roller shutters as it were, to understand more about how English Heritage keeps Brodsworth looking its best for visitors. We'll also uncover how the extensive gardens are kept so lovely, from Italianate style makeovers to bedding schemes requiring over 20,000 plants.

My family and I spent MANY MANY hours around these gardens, with an occasional look around the house. We watched a lot of the garden develop over the years. I must admit I miss going as we have now moved away.
Much respect to all of the volunteers!
All those volunteers are, indeed, wonderful to give their time to keep a wonderful site such as this open for the public to enjoy.
I have such fond memories of Brodsworth as I used to visit at Easter with my late partner and took a panorama of the garden (and Kevin) from in front of the summer house
Thank you for sharing this information. I would have thought there was cleaning and
maintenance done. But had know idea to
what extant. It is amazing to see all you do.
Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌹
Another fascinating video! I'd love to see another video about some more of the cleaning you do on the grounds and properties in depth!
Respect for all yall 🙏🏾
Enjoyed watching this! Thank you.
Fantastic to see all the hard work we the public get to appreciate 😀
Amazing work, amazing place! Thank you!
❤❤❤❤
I remember seeing Brodsworth the year or the year after it was opened to the public (must have been mid-nineties), and it had this beautiful, slightly sad, dilapidated charm, the garden was secretive and rather wild and overgrown. By now, of course, it has been restored to its former glory, and that other aspect is gone. Still a place I love to visit! And seeing all the work that is done behind closed doors is fascinating!
Excellent curation
Amazing work ❤
Really interesting, thanks!
Great team 👍👍👍
Really interesting, thanks
What a great channel.
Behind the Scenes at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens. 24.4.24. !!! Yes, I watched Ghosts and I am sure it was a well observed situation re: how to run a pelmet laden homestead....
I learned a lot ty
was here today
So is this house near Doncaster?
i find it funny how we get excited about "ancient graffiti" but throw such big fits when any modern pieces are added.
Wonderful👍 Hope I get back to see it all. I have been a few times but being on my own now it is difficult for me to get there but I will try.
So much work...so much love ❤
Amazing
