I had a question, hunter. I always see you carry rocket pods with helis, and use them to take out incoming AA missiles. How do you do that? do you have a set fuze distance or do the missiles just detonate when they're near the missile or if they directly collide with it? Are they hard to aim at the incoming missile?
The incoming missile has the proximity fuse and it will trigger when any aerial projectile is near, around 4 meters .. and the unguided rockets are aerial projectiles, I don't really aim with these rockets, only firing them at the general direction of the incoming missile, but I get shot down a lot if the SPAA player know what he is doing, some SPAA players are learning to fire the missile away and then guide it to the chopper after one or two seconds, to avoid being in the rockets path. It is also worth to mention that this tactic doesn't work at all against Stormer because Stormer missiles don't have fuse.

Grinding helis without a premium one is torture so I'd say yes. I love the AH-1F/S at 9.7 they're very good but you don't have a lot of japenese tanks at 9.7. Also try to get it when it's -50%

There are multiple types of Ataka missiles in real life, and they replaced the previous 8km (9M120M) with 6km (9M120-1), but to make it short I said they nerfed it.
It's not professional to change something and didn't mention it anywhere! They increase BMP 2 ammo count from 160 to 260. So how many changes was applied? Nobody knows!
I’m sad I got my MI-28N after the nerf. But it’s still a beauty and quite the fearsome heli. Even in Heli EC against KA-50s it’s stil a big threat. Just takes some sneeki breeki and ambush tactics. (And worse comes to worse, the ataka has no fuse and will go straight through Vikhr spam and detonate all of them lmao)
Im complaining on facebook posts, steam hub, forums ... they didnt even fix the 9m120m before nerfing it. It would fly through air targets buggy af. THEN THIS ?! Im devastated. I haven't played ground RB in weeks cz of this nerf.
the sad thing is that the tow 2B missile from the M3A3 Bradly cant penetrat the top of any 9.7 russian MBT with Kontakt 1 anymore. just 100mm pennetration and kontakt 1 has 400mm protektion. it's kompletly useless now.

As long as top down is a thing instantly damaging breaches or knocking out crews behind cover or hills spells a death sentence for whoever is on the receiving end. Similarly when they get nerfed like this the player launching the Tows just has to be more careful. They are still extremely effective against anything that isnt a russian mbts with era. And even then you can still use it against russian mbts just because of the amount of tows you have at your disposal. Usually the first tow gets rid of the ERA and the second knocks.
I like war thunder because it adds modern war equipment, I hope that they will add something new, such as modern mogs, or they are 57 or f16, and something like that, great greetings to you with pleasure

The Helicopter balance is simply not controlable. The just threw them into the mix, without any idea how it would effect things. Effective Helis are piloted by above average players as it is - everthing else dies in seconds. Now the skill check is even harder - so less players will touch those (grinding them is a nightmare anyway). That should show Gaijin that they should ask themselfes what they wanne achieve. Dev Time should be invested on topics like bug fixing and mechanics etc...

It dident really get nerfed it got fixed they are only rated for 6km. There is newer version of the ataka that isent ingame with 10km range but it really isent needed Russia is op enough already. The VikHr should also be fixed its range is only 8 km when fired from a helicopter and 10 km from a fixed wing aircraft. weirdly enough it has limited range during night operations to 5km i dont know why. Hellfires ingame should only have 8km(max 11km the higher the speed and altitude its fired at the longer it travels) range i dont fully know their range in game since its not on stat card?

Ka has more ammo but not the turret.. so it can't shoot that well but yeah Apparently Mi-28Nm is coming which is an Mi-28N with radar and Vikhr too... so yeah xd

Direct collision.
