Tui Blue Jadran Hotel - Tučepi - Croatia - October 2018

A look around the superb, newly renovated 5* hotel Jadran in Tučepi.
Thanks to Management and staff for permission to film them at work.
Until July 2017 this hotel had been totally derelict for 25 years. You can see the total devastation of the hotel on other RUclips videos. It has tremendous history since it was originally built in 1948, including being used to house the secret police of Yugoslavia in the late 50s, and as an asylum for war refugees between 1991 and 1996. It was then an abandoned ghost hotel until September 2016 when the restoration began by the current owner, costing around 27m euros.
The completely refurbished hotel re-opened to tourists on 1 July 2017 in an incredibly short space of time, and after local forest fires destroyed part of the renovations. Thank you to Tui staff Vlatka for hotel history tour.

I had been there in the early 1980ies. I think if I was there nowadays, my weight would in crease to 400 pounds within two weeks!!! It really looks tasty!

Yes, we were lucky to get a very cheap introductory deal with Tui and then get a free upgrade to sea view room on arrival! Sadly it’s unlikely to happen twice! Thanks for watching.
