I love you Lucy‼️‼️‼️
Praying for you💕💕💕
Colace for the poop issue, not pericolace. Peri colace has a stimulant colace does not. You don't want the 'Lincoln logs' kicked in with the stimulant! All it does is pull fluid in to soften to get it moving. Works pretty quick, usually with 24 hrs. I've had to take it after every surgery I've had. The sticky spots from tape etc, use rubbing alcohol on a qtip, gently rub the sticky stuff it will come off. Stay away from incision etc. You look awesome for what you've been through. Baby steps, you will be back up in no time.
There's nothing wrong with adding 2 senna laxative pills to your 2 colace pills in the morning and drink a LOT of water. You are constipated and need to poop. And not little goat pills either. How long ago was the surgery? Only you know when you are no longer in pain, Lucy.
Alcohol wipes work amazing for getting the tape residue off I have had many surgeries and I promise it works
For the adhesive, I use a combination of alcohol swabs and tape. Alcohol swabs don’t always do the best at actually lifting up the adhesive from the skin, so I’ll go over the area with alcohol swabs to get the adhesive “pilled” up and then use a piece of tape to press on the skin where the adhesive is, and then peel the tape off to lift the adhesive off the skin. Hopefully that made sense. Just don’t go anywhere near your incisions with alcohol or tape! Also, for the constipation there’s several things you can still try. I saw your comments that you’ve been trying the over the counter laxatives with no progress, but if you want to stick with something over the counter, you could try a fleet enema. There are also numerous prescriptions that your doctor can give you, including pills, liquid solutions, and suppositories that are stronger than over the counter. Once you get off the pain meds though, things should eventually return back to normal as your body adjusts (and that could take a few days to a week) after getting the meds out of your system.
Loving the daily updates! Y’all are fun to watch together!
Your wound looks good! I only had to wear my drain for 48 hours I could not wear it for a whole week. It drove me crazy! Hats off to you xo
Im glad you guys are making the of it. Prayers always.
You can always add a pen mark at the fluid level line on your drain, that way you know how much more drainage you have had since the mark. Or use tape or a sharpie to mark it. As for constipation: drink water, move around. You can also try warm prune juice as a non- medication try.
My mom died December 21 of 2021 but she survived thyroid cancer and she struggled with hypoglycemia and kidney disease and this horrible disease called calciphylaxis but she was a fighter she lost her fight at the age of 45 but she tired her hardest to fight but keep fighting praying for healing.
use alcohol wipe to get the sticky stuff off...yeah surgery constipates and bloats people.....get off the pain pills if you can....or start reducing...magnesium citrate or something like that if you can...colace stool softener too.
Down to only one pain relief a day but hasn’t made a difference
@@LucyABE84 is the one pain relief a day controlling the pain?
@@LucyABE84 yeah it can take a month or two...to get regular...and get rid of bloat..clear all the meds etc...lots of water, ..take some type of laxative..cause you need it.
Call around to some pharmacies and see if they carry adhesive removal wipes. I had to use these on my daughter after she had some burns. They work WONDERS!
❤❤❤❤
Do you have coloxyl with senna over there? It’s was the only thing that actually helped me go within that day. The strong pain pills definitely mess with your stomach.
As for the stick bits left on you and the ink, I would use alcohol wipes :)
Estoy aprendiendo inglés le quiero preguntar si qué le pasaba a la madre
Your incision looks good. JP drains are a pain. There is probably way more of that drain in you than you realize. Take some colace and miralax for the constipation. Your doing great.
I have been taking both…like 5 days 😬
@@LucyABE84 Mineral Oil works so well for a temporary situation😓~I was on both Colace and Miralax after surgery last year and still ended-up with an emergency impaction:( Wish had known how effective Mineral Oil can be, with only like a tablespoon being quite effective within a day or so~
Plus, makes MUCH it less painful when things finally start moving😉!!
@@LucyABE84 The constipation is probably from opioids. This happened to my mom after both of her knee replacements. She took something that started with S. Sorry I don’t remember the name but your dr will likely know.
@@LucyABE84 miralax never worked for me but colace stool softener with senna laxative is quick and great.
@@LucyABE84If Miralax and stool softeners aren’t working, get some dulcolax. That should clean you out. I was on pain meds for many years for a chronic condition. The 💩 struggle is real!
I love Joel’s humor! Your incision looks great! If you don’t have to much of sensitive skin, use finger nail polish remover to get the sticky patch goop off.
Try alcohol to get the sticky stuff off. Can you take stool softener? After my c-sections I took it religiously!
I have been taking meds…to no avail. 🙈
I think she might have ment rubbing alcohol to get rid of the sticky stuff.
How does your stomach look like you never carried a baby and gave birth?? Which is completely off topic but I have had 9 babies and well I look like I have had 9 babies.
Us alcohol prep wipes that gets that stuff off
Lord have mercy
I love seeing the updates. Also, obviously love seeing Joel because come on…. It’s fun watching you both and seeing that little bicker/flirting ;)
I am praying for you
Your looking so happy Lucy!
A shower does WONDERS!
What time do you have breakfast
I need a better word than BEAUTY,.....all of you,...RAW and REAL,....GOD-LIKE Beauty in that way! Yes,...we WANT and NEED 'daily',...when YOU can do it Honey!
Lucy your healing so good 💪🏻🥰‼️
Continued prayers for you dear. God will get you through this.
It’s just a JP drain. We just call them drains. No bag. And yes please continue to have both of you on. I’m disabled and am homebound most of the time and y’all just make me laugh so hard! 😂😂😂😂😂
Y'all are adorable and funny (on camera), you Lucy, are beautiful inside and out and my goodness what a pretty belly, and you've been pregnant 8 times?? What's your secret girl?
🤔😭😥😙
Magnesium powder or pills will help. I never took laxatives after my surgery
Hoje estou muito feliz, porque Deus está abençoando cada um de vocês que estão lendo essa mensagem e vão me abençoar também com sua visita..amém 🙏 🙏 🙏
Lmbo! “Boney butt” “it’s broken” lol! Lucy you look great! Lol lizard tongue coming to play lol! What’s the difference between Lucy and a lizard? Joel isn’t complaining of the lizard doing it’s thing lol
Use alcohol pads to get the sticky stuff off!
I literally love the bickering
The doctor needs to prescribe you some stool softener !! That always has happened to me after surgery and most doctors automatically prescribe a stool softener ! Call your doctor and tell him that you need some SS and that you haven’t pooped yet since the surgery !!
Did already. Going to ask for something stronger tomorrow.
@@LucyABE84 you don't need a prescription for colace stool softener or senokot laxative because they are both over the counter meds (OTC). Breastfeeding is 👌 with both of them.
Yes by now you may need a laxative. You’re doing great though Lucy ! You are going to be just fine ❤️
Your voice is stronger in this video. I hope you're able to get the bag removed tomorrow.
He should always take part 😁
Please don't take Miralax, it's so bad for you and you become dependent.
Stool softener !!
I have been for days already.
❤
💞🙏
Kids suppository…. And Metamucil
Alcohol pads to rub it off
Good
Ask the surgeon or your doctor what those marks are. Maybe they stuck you with some probes during surgery and you have little scars because of the probes
My name is actually Lucy
