What an absolute delight to see this film. Amazing they had the money to have it filmed.
fillevans Being the mayors daughter not so amazing I think! But I am glad they did!
Amazing to have a movie on this special day
love those dresses!
Even boys in the streets dressed in suits with vests. What a time.
My gran would have been around 10 years old at the time and could well have been one of the faces in the crowd, she went on to get married in the same church a few years later, great film.
To think that just a year later many of those men would have been in the Trenches..
Sad to think of
I was named after her, but she died years before I was born, so it's very moving to see this film.
What was her married name? Did her husband survive the Great War?
Was this William Favorsham, the stage actor? Anyone know?
A lovely film
